"The house that poker built". Never mind about all those silly graphs we post, eh, if people don't find this inspiring they're crackers.

On a serious note I presume the plan with the 4 bedrooms is to have one for you and Mrs <3, and one each for the guinea pigs. Am I right?

it seems that you need about 6000 games if you play 60/100$ yes? BTW i wish you to have a profit without RB after these games..

grinding pretty hard. doing 5-8hr days every day. Trying to hit SNE with a lower ABI than last year is a lot more work :/ . Should be another late December grind, but I'll make it.

House is progressing. Got some gutters on the roof and roof tiles should be on this week.

Been up and down in the games, continue to run poorly at the 100s but right now I'm just focused on SNE and hopefully I can work on getting back in the 200s in January.

Account Security

‘DOS Attacks’
Some players have been the victim of co-ordinated DOS (denial-of-service) attacks. This is where a large number of computers send packets of information to the victim’s router simultaneously, resulting in the victim being disconnected from the internet. If the victim is playing poker at the time, their hand will be folded and, if they are playing in a tournament, they will be blinded out. Therefore the abusers have tended to target victims in Hyper-Turbo Sit & Go events where the victim will often be blinded out entirely before they can reconnect. These attacks can also take place in ring games, where the abusers might build a large pot before disconnecting their opponents.

Pretty crazy that this is happening. AFAIK, the only way to get your IP to DDOS is through skype while being online? So it would have to be someone who plays the games and was on your skype list. Can't believe how low some people will stoop for a few BIs.

AFIAK they don't need to be on your skype list to be able to do it but only to know your skype ID.

But I guess as a true pro you have a dedicated internet connection for poker _smile:

what if you are offline skype but they have your ID will they still be able to do it?

eg
you reformat your pc / laptop or bought a new one. only have your pokerclient installed and pt4/hem2. but they have your skype id, will they still be able to do this?

I'm not an IT pro but they only get your IP address through skype, once they have it they do the DOS attack by other means.
tbh this is quite old and skype might have fixed their leaks by now

Yeh it's going really quick so far. They gave themselves until April in the contract to cover delays/weather etc.. But we are hoping for February/March.

They started the brickwork this week. (don't have any pics yet). Looking good! Happy with the colour choices.

This whale was chain loading 100 hypers the other day. In all my years playing SnGs I have never seen a guy like this. The hand will give you an idea of how he was playing. I was drooling all over my desk every time I got in a game with him.
