I know you are better then most regs, more solid game , you definitely can have 2-3% roi on 15s no problem. Just have to play trough the DS hold your head up high, don't give up man.
Also, if you are not chasing any game goal, table select cause every day I am with at least 3 regs per table. In past couple of weeks there have been about 10 new regs on our limit and I feel they have come from Ongame (besides Demonic) and are very aggressive from get go, takes more time to adjust to them and swim trough the variance.
Good luck

I do table select and also noticed that lately there were a lot of regs at the tables. Thought that was because of the promotion that was running. Have to say that I didn't notice new regs, at least not as much as you said but will take your word for it. As I get up pretty early, my first session is usually around 9am and although mornings are pretty much "reg free", lately there were 3-4 of them all the time.
Also, I started adding regular speed tables recently. Not a lot of regs there and same as on 7s, most of them are just collecting dust at the tables playing really tight. Was away for two days and can't wait to start playing. Just hope that something will turn around in the coming days
Mixing with regular is definitely great way to increase ROI and decrease variance.
It is great that you are playing mornings, I try also to play until 3pm 1st session. There is far less regs, like 4-5 tops during that time so you can expect higher roi, less variable plays and spots, dominate more etc
Good luck and see you at the tables
Spent whole day playing around with HRC, filters in HEM and stuff like that. I definitely feel I'm improving since I bought HRC, feeling more comfortable in steal/resteal situations. I'm still too tight there but just have to continue working like I do and it'll get better, no doubt.
As for the game goes, nothing has changed. It's still hell. The amount of various setups I had in the last month is just ridiculous. I'm constantly up against "nuts", especially BvB, shoves are just not getting through.
I'm still not in a place where I can just grind like a robot and not pay attention to the way I run. Wish I could say I am, but I'm not, so my volume is suffering. Just feel it's better to end the session when I start to feel the shit is starting to affect my mood, thinking w/e. Not good that it affects me but that's the way it is.
Gonna have lunch and then play some games.

Takes years of practice. Most people (including me) never manage it completely so don't beat yourself up too much. It's a goal we strive for rather than something we expect to be able to attain.
Managed to play 17 games before I started to feel like an absolute clown.
Stacked off preflop against AT+ TT+ 16 times, plus pair into bigger pair, ace into bigger ace. Doesn't matter if I shove or call. Should just throw the cards under the table.
Spoiler

Played the first session of the day. Had to stop it because the tables just weren't filling up.
So, gonna take a break and grind grind grind. Or stab myself in the eye with something blunt. Not sure which will be more fun. ♦

Definitely this. I really want to hurt the RNG guys at Stars, on our behalf! If you can hop on skype at some time today, that'd be coolio.
Keep grinning and don't lose focus (with your good eye, I mean) ♦

Fingers crossed that I've hit rock bottom today and the only way to go is up.

Saw this hand today. Both guys are regs. I mean, neither one of them is great but come on. Well, I embraced the gift with both hands.
BB's play is marginally worse than SB's. But it's super close ♦ Perhaps they thought it was a 9man. (ITM, K5o vs J9s is a super standard stackoff, bvb, for 25bb, ofc...)

Ofc, I guess one can always make an argument for shoving. But after getting a call like this, maybe it wasn't thought out in the best way. ![]()

Pretty bad month behind me. Was struggling with volume due to running pretty poorly most of the month, something I need to improve in the future. Didn't play many games partly because I was table selecting and it's kinda hard to find time of day when there's not 3+ regs at every table. Gonna continue doing that because I think it's way more +EV when I sit at a table with 3-4 fish than trying to play x number of games and taking tougher tables.
This is what made me feel a bit better at the end of the month:
Spoiler

Was struggling with the red line since I started playing 15s. Even though I believe the line was affected by the poor run to some extent, it was after getting some feedback from my coach when the red line started going up. Invaluable stuff. When I see how he sees the game and approaches it, it blows my mind. I'm getting used to the stuff he pointed out and believe it's going well. It's always highly motivating for me to see and understand the mistakes I was making, spots I was missing etc but the biggest thing is that I got a completely new view of the game and realized how "blind" I was all the time.
Have to say that I had some moments of doubt during last month but I guess that happens to everyone. More important is that I continue improving my game and I'll have no problem beating this limit. I still have these moments when I make ridiculous mistakes for no reason, really have to reduce them to the minimum and have complete control of my game at all times.
Putting this month behind me, focusing on learning and hoping for a slightly better run in the future(still about 110 BIs below EV since I started playing 15s).
Go go go!
Going up and down lately. Still running not so good, esp when it comes to post flop, pretty tiring to watch villains hitting the flop all the time, binking turns and rivers etc. Hopefully, someone will return all the blanks to the deck. Until then, I'll try to play the best I can. Learning/improving/coaching is going great and I'm more than happy with all of that.

1 fold, CO raises to 150, Hero calls 150, 1 fold, BB goes all-in 2,890, CO goes all-in 1,590, Hero ???
Felt like an idiot in this one.
Was hoping for a squeeze from SB.
Both villains are fishy but neither of them is a complete disaster. CO is 35/20 and BB is 25/16/8.5
I think if we remove AA/KK from BB's 3bet shoving range it has to be a call. Still not sure about this one tho...
Its very difficult to play when you are running bad. I think that is what separates regular players from grinders and pro's. When you run bad you shouldn't stop, keep playing. Downswing will "go away" only after sufficient sample.
15s have become very reg infested, it is getting more and more difficult to find only 2 or 3 regs per table. Those regs are not super positive with ROI (its not like playing Ponchua, Elio or Dejan in every game for ex) but still their wide calling ranges and light stacking pre and at bubble make it difficult to have immediate positive ROI you expect.
I think your game is solid, just have to play constantly, get that grinding in you work on the mental game (when you are running bad not to tilt spew and be overly aggressive like I did for months when I switched to stars- not saying you do this now, just saying avoid doing it ever) and you will get that positive ROI (3% I feel is your minimum with your ranges).
Good luck

You're right about 15s being infested. But there are still "holes" when there's hardly any reg online. Sometimes I see 4-5 regs at every table and 15 minutes later it's all green and lovely. And yeah, every reg hurts you ofc when you think that in his spot there could be a 65/7 whale just waiting for you to take his chips.
The above hand kinda sucks. Im not sure I like your flat with queens though. With less than 25 bbs a flat is ok but you and villain are both playing almost 40. I would only flat if villain has a high pfr and high fold to 3bet.
As played, BB will never have you beat here as he would likely 3 bet smaller so its is really only a matter of CO's 3x opening range. Has he been 3xing pre a lot? Does he seem fishy? If you think he's capable of having 10s, JJs, AKs, here then you must call. BB likely has AK, AQ himself, maybe a smaller pair.

Agree.
I guess from time to time BB will show us KK/AA but in general we can discard it from his range. So it all comes down to open raiser who I think is calling JJ+ AK so it's a call.
All in all, got myself into a stupid spot for no reason. And made a mistake cause I folded. ♦
BB showed AQ, CO called with AK. But the board ran out x2345. I knew it would so...gg me

Yesterday was one of the worst days I have ever had. I was kinda surprised to see my red line above zero at the end of the day just because the frequency at which my 70-90% on the flop and turn is being cracked is pretty much ridiculous. As I do table select, I find myself playing against weak players most of the time and dominate them preflop but I end up watching them spiking invisible two pairs/gut shots/runner runners that just don't make any sense most of the time. It's annoying. That's the right word. Annoying. It doesn't make me angry like it did before. I don't feel like I'm about to have a stroke after I see 203rd stupid suckout in a row , all from guys who, I'm pretty sure don't know if a straight beats a full house or the other way around.
I'm completely calm and focused. Of course I make mistakes as I'm still relatively new to the game but at least those mistakes aren't a result of tilt anymore. And there lies my biggest win. Unfortunately, it can't be put in my wallet and pay my bills.
Spoiler

The above is a graph for all the 15s I played. I'm not a hardcore grinder not because I'm too lazy to play 150 games a day but because I decided to table select, play less tables and add regular speed tables to every session I play. I believe (if you're not chasing x amount of vpps, Supernova or w/e) not to table select is not a way to go. There's a huge amount of regs on 15s and new ones are showing up very often.
I had one "upswing" on the 15s, length of which was a couple of sessions. I started playing only 6max STTs in March, the first limit being 3.50$s. Since then, I'm about 300BIs below EV which comes down to about 2.6k$ combined on 3.50s, 7s and 15s. That might seem like peanuts to someone but to me is a pretty nice amount of cash, especially when you consider that I ditched everything else and decided to play poker. I knew it would be hard but as for many other things before, I didn't really have a clue how hard it really is. Can't say that the money is not bothering me cause at the end of the day feeling of independence and bosslessness will not put food on my plate. I found a way to handle all the stress that poker brings and I'm proud of that cause if I had continued reacting to everything that happens on daily basis I'm pretty sure I would've gotten sick by now. Literally sick.
Another thing that bugged me for a long time is how people that are close to me see my choice to play poker for a living. I'm always happy to explain what I do every day and how it all works. Most of them don't understand it/see me as a gambler that's trying to hit a jackpot and think I made a mistake by taking this path. And, i hope I'm wrong, but I think a portion of them "hopes" I would fail so they can say "Now you can finally get a real job like the rest of us cause that's the only way to go." cause they see me as some bum that clicks buttons and hopes for easy money.
I don't care about all of that anymore and I will not fail. I WILL succeed at this even if I have to grind in a cardboard box under a bridge. ![]()
I hope this post didn't come out as one of those whining rants cause I really didn't have that in mind. These are just some things I think about and try to get a handle on. Maybe someone understands it or maybe it looks funny/ridiculous. I don't care. ![]()
It's Sunday so another day of soft tables is ahead. Good luck to everyone. ♦
If I read your graph correct your EV ROI is less than 1 (ONE) percent. The lower ROI you have, the higher variance is.
I don't know your game and I don't know 6max turbos but I would think it should be possible to have WAY higher ROI and therefore some less variance. So maybe improve game or play fewer tables.
I can comfortly 6-table my game at your level with 8% ROI.
