Actually i´m trying to grow my mental muscle, so I dont have stoplose limits, i have time or hand limits. 1,30H or 1k hands maximum. If im getting spewy or heated during the session, I really need to work to get my mind to ease down. And yes, it will cost me some money, but it wont have any effect to my liferoll when i´m playing microlimits. :f_grin:

No worries, Stars gave me a nice compensation later haha :f_biggrin: Had a nice session. Kinda interested what are your VPIP/PFR, feel like there's some difference from what my HUD shows on you after 62 hands ;)

Not playing a stable game and throwing some stacks where I shouldn't. That hurts my bb/100. My overall decision making isn't bad, I would say it's pretty solid, though tilt issues still exist. At least I'm keep seeing green numbers after session, so everything's under control.

Daily schedule so far is really helpful. Feeling that my day is more productive than ever and of course more things are being done :f_love:

Couldn't put in enough volume today since had some repair jobs to do. Overall playing less than expected this week, probably will grind more next few days.

Went breakeven or slightly losing today and then BAM +3 BI in the last 300 or so hands. Most of showdown hands were either my TPTK is getting paid by worse TP or they hit second pair turn/river lol. In the end caught some 150bb+ fishes who happily donated me their money.

And one hand where almost full timebank was used. I'm against 50/12 guy, have 27 hands on him, not much too say about postflop tendencies, except that he doesn't like to fold to flop cbet.

Not grinding enough hours last few days, because some real life stuff is going on and I'm pretty tired in the evening. Playing like 30-50% less than I would like to but what can I do :) Don't want to sacrifice my sleeping time. Playing less hands is better than nothing.

Life: trying to do some weightlifting and cardio at least three times a week. Not happy with my current shape and got to improve it. Better physical condition = better mental condition. Also working on my productivity during the day, still wasting plenty of time :f_mad:

Poker: Playing less, though results wise running supa hot. Very close to my BR goal of shooting NL10.

Disappeared from this place for a while. Reasons? First of all not disciplined enough to update and then of course playing way too little hands, like 500-1k hands a day last week because of some rl stuff. This week I came back to NL10 and after few thousand hands I'm slightly winning.

So it's the end of November and I probably should review my goals. I FAILED:

1. Volume. Was 5k hands short from my 'MUST DO' goal. Mainly because of last week, but I could've grinded more first three weeks.

2. Learning. Total disaster. Not sure I even passed 25% of initially planned time learning the game.

3. Updating blog. Not disciplined enough.

Kinda sad that I feel motivated but also my old bad habits are chasing me. Too many hours were spent browsing internet, chatting and playing video games even though I perfectly understand that not learning enough = not winning enough or not winning at all. And I'm a person who really doesn't like to lose. I'm not a ex-midstakes player who had to cash out and now is rebuilding his BR rushing through micros, I'm a noob, a fish who still needs to understand a lot. So it's time to take some measures to achieve my goals and get rid of bad habbits.

Had some time to think about it and decided that I achieve the most when I know what and when to do and when pressure is higher than usual. It means bigger assignment - not that much time. Let's go!

DECEMBER CHALLENGE: 100K HANDS

BEFORE XMAS

Doubling your usual monthly volume? You have no chance. Highly possible that I would not play even 50k hands if I made this challenge in my head or in notebook. But now it's public and I don't like to make big promises and then fail. I hate losing.

Cool story, bro. What about those 'bad habits'? They won't let you go. I believe that my hatred of defeat is stronger than silly wishes to chat or play video games. Also I will use addon for my browser to block websites during hours set for learning and grinding. And video games that I find interesting atm will be uninstalled. I hope after this marathon learning&playing poker will become my new habits, also 100k hands/month will be somewhat standard volume.

And what about discipline? I think my motivation is one of the biggest key right here. Also when I have a plan, everything goes better.

What's the plan then?

1. Playing.

  • Play at least 5k hands/day
  • 5 Buy-ins stop loss limit = 30min break.
  • Drop down a limit if BR < 15 Buy-ins for current limit.
  • Can't play if previous session isn't reviewed
  • Mark hands with doubts for review

2. Learning.

  • Session review after each session
  • Use question list for every hand when reviewing
  • Session review consists of:
    1. Marked hands
    2. Big pot report (thinking about 30bb+ but afraid that it'll take too much time) 45bb+
    3. 22+, AQ+ hands
    4. Hands from CO, BTN and blinds
  • Reading strategy posts, articles, watching few videos, post hands for evaluation and reading evaluation forums

3. Discipline.

  • Update blog after playing with hand count and a graph
  • Overall graph and some stats after 25k, 50k, 75k hands
  • Celebration :f_cool: post after 100k hands

It all started so nice and ended up so bad haha. From +400bb at one point to -500bb in the end and 1k hands short because couldn't handle my actions 100%. Got some coolers and suckouts though I think at least 70% of losses are my fault. During review I noticed many spots where I either miss a value bet or make stupid 'hero' call on the river. Losing lots of bb in both cases and that sucks. I think the best I could've got yesterday was a break even session, but made too many mistakes. Will try to do more short breaks today, because I assume one of the reasons for my poor decision quality was lack of focus, also was looking too often at results when had a good start.

Another depressing day results wise. I'm obv not running that hot and also making bad decisions more often after losing big pots. Few small mistakes = another big pot. I still believe that I can win at NL10 and I will, just need to grind it out. Atm feels like ppl hit bottom two pair vs my TPTK really often :f_biggrin: Don't want to spam my blog with losing graphs, so posting one when im breakeven. Hope it's before 25K. Also I'm behind schedule and gotta put more hands today, but first - session review.

+700bb today, though mostly from NL5, so $$$ wise still in a hole because big part of my losses are from NL10. Liked my game today, nice value bets, some succesful 4bet bluffs PF BvB and CO v BTN.

Total hands: 10 461. Struggling to play more, but maybe it's better to start with 3,5-4k hands/day and then increase volume each day/week than try to grind 5k hands 20 days in a row.
