I'd fold turn or call turn, fold any river to 3rd barel (unless its some redicolous bet size). But i think i'd just fold the turn.

I think folding the turn is fine. When we call we are pot commited. We invest more than 1/3 of the pot. So we should shove the turn or fold it. We dont have much information so that we cant shove for thin value. So folding is fine.

Graph of the month

Total Profit: 7295,25 $ + 819,48 $ = 8114,73 $

Summary
That was the best month I ever had. Im very proud of it. Because of my new computer I had some problems with Merge. I could not import all hands so that I add a single graph. I learned a lot and my rise to NL200 was successfull. I think I will play NL400 in some days. My new computer is very fast so that I dont have any problems with any software (for example I can use PKR now).

Day 104 + 105

Learning target: (1) take up time + (2) board analysis
Yesterday I played much better than the days before. I took up my time and analysed the board. The days before I was too fast without deep thinking.

Other matters
In my coaching I was forced to play NL400 Regs. A lot of villain was too scared to play me and sit out instantly. Some played 10 hands and left the table. I played very aggressiv and never left a table. Here is a screenshot

hand of the day
Villain was very aggressiv preflop and weak-tight postflop. We played like a maniac (3B: 80 %, AF: 10). Would you have barrelt the river (best betsize)?

Just one question sir,

when you are not forced, how do you choose opponents, or u just sit and wait until they come?

thx

My first goal is to earn money. So I prefer fish than regs. When I have no villain I play regs until I get some fish. Than I stopp playing and battle with the bad player.

Goals of the week
I will add another goal to my goals (1) take up time and (2) analyse boad structure. It will be (3) pay attention to betsizes. I used to have this goal but neglected it in the last month. I will also try to make more breaks of 5 minutes after 1 hour.

On the 09.11.2013 the chess worldchampionchip between Carlsen vs. Anand. I can recommend all chess lovers to watch it on

Day 110 + 111

Learning target: paying attention to betsizes
I did a great job yesterday. I took up enaugh time for thinking, analysed the board structure and payed enaug attention to betsizes. When everyday is so great its much better feeling than winning 1000 $ on one day.

Other matters
The 3rd game between Anand and Carlsen was very thrilling. The positon was very interesting. In the end the game ended with a draw. Its 1.5-1.5. Who is your favourite?

What would be your turn + river plan (why?)?

Truly inspiring blog and proof (at least in my opinion) that Gordon can really make super solid winners on high stakes.
How much daily time do you invest now in studying and how much did you invest when you started out with Gordon?

Subscribed and will follow obviously :)

I'm not a cash player nor a HU player but I followed your blog for a bit and have seen some of Gordon's vids as well, so let me give it a shot. Unknowns flopdonk range: draws, any pair on the board. So with that assumption I would flatc the turnbet and reevaluate river. Let him bluff all his crap and you have a redraw for the 2nd nutflush.

What would be your turn + river plan (why?)?

considering you Min raise preflop, he probably has high 3bet percentage, so we can exclude many AJ, KJ and even QJ type hands. Top two and better, he would reraise on the flop.
Therefore, after his flop call, his range consists of:Flush draws, Str8 draws, middle pairs, TPs, some weak two pairs.

After he donks Turn, we can probably exclude his weaker hands, though pairs + turned 1 card flashdraw would make sense. Against range of: flushes, two pairs, 1card flush draws, oesd - we still ahead. We should call, as he almost doesn't have worse hands he will call with + we have redraw

River pot will be 300 with 250 left in the stacks. Worst river cards would be non-c Q and 8, and then 7, T. I would call on any flushed river, if he is not complete nit. Depending on his overall loosiness and WTSD, would call up to 1/2 pot on
other non scary cards.

EDIT: considering he is potting flop and turn, he most probably will choose to push river in case of bet. It that case its very much up to his stats. vs unknown I would probably lean to fold in the beginning of the match.

Calling the turn ist the best play. We can slowplay with our overpair. When we call and villain would shoved the river we should call because villain could bet worse. When he checked the river we should shove for value.

Learning target: paying attention to betsizes
Im very satisfied with this goal. I pay a lot of attention to villain and hero betsizes and make one or the other additional bb/100 hands. I also took up enaugh time for doing this and controlled the boards and how other cards on later streets change anything.

Other matters
The chess WM is very interesting. There hasn´t been a winner so far and the games becomes more and more thrilling.

Graph of the week

Summary
I learned some new things this week. Im getting better and better in achieving my goals (1) take up time, (2) analysis of the board and (3) paying attention to betsizes. Unfortunately my new computer crush 3 times on friday. I dont like it. So I updated all my software and hope that was the reason. The chess wm is very thrilling. After 6 games Carlsen is in the lead with 4-2.

Day 116 + 117

Goals of the week
I want to add another goal (4) plan the hand for 1 street + take up 2 seconds after making this plan. Planning a hand is a necessity. And the moment where you should do it is the flop (Flop-River). I will add the other streets when I have mastered this goal. My other goals (1) take up time (2) board analysis and (3) paying attention to betsizes should become a normal part of my game and I will also focus on this goals.

Must call on the turn (given you get such good odds). And i'd call any river too unles he overbets.
But his play is strange/ doesnt make much sense to 2x raise turn with pretty much any raising hand (sets/strong draws). Well it might make sense if he wants to get some value with set from worse made hands, but at the same time he doesnt protect against draws wiht such weak raise. But then again board is rather dry considering all those low cards.
So: Hands that beat you: 66,44,33,75 and maybe 96 (i assume he doesnt call pre any two so no 52, and he 3b 99, so i dont put him on topset, too).
Hands you beat: 43, 54 , 65, 76, 87, 55, 77, 88, and combinations of mentioned connectors and FDs - he could raise all this half as a bluff and half for protection/free SD. And i didnt include overpairs since i didnt include 99.

So in the end looking at that range it would make sense to 3b, but small raise looks suspicously small for semi bluffs/semi protection (as u dont achieve any of it bcs of small size), so the size looks a bit trappy, and wouldnt want to vluetown myself with 3b.
So like i wrote in the beginning: calldown makes most sense for me unles he overbets river. That way we dont overplay and see SD (maybe allso win :f_biggrin: ) and then we know how he plays certain hands.

Yeah, we should call the turn and the river, when villains bet about 50 % and less. Unless we have to fold.

I already read the 3rd book of "A Game of Thrones" and can recommend it to everyone. The book doesnt have chapters 1,2,3... instead each chapter is written about one character. Its like when you in a film and you are a part of it. Try it.

If bottom 2p on that wet board is bluffcatcher, than top 2 is a 3b ship 100bb deep . Being a bit deeper i think i'd call flop, x/showe safe turns (2-4,8,9, Q-A), call ugly turns unless he makes it too big and fold river UI. Because i think usually people dont turn 2p or overpairs (hands u beat) into bluffs on 4straight/flushy boards but will rather shut down and see SD for low price.
