Preflop: I see the stats for Mp2 but what stats do we have on Mp3? Just curious who we 3-bet

I've noticed that alot of tight players fold to 3-bets very often so i iso3-bet (i don't know what the right lingoword is) because i wanted to have the fish for myself.

This is a concept i'm unfamiliar with again. I understand the idea of it but I can't seem to get the numbers you wrote to make sense to me...Yet.

Try to do the math yourself. That's usually the best way to work the numbers.

See how much money you have left to invest at the point of the raise and how big the pot will be. Then divide the first by the second and get your equity required.

Yea that's what i did before i said it, but still i didn't get the numbers to fit with your statement. So here's what i don't get.

How do i find out the rake? How do you calculate the rake in the middle of a hand? Is rake that important?

1. Villain's stack is smaller than ours, so we only have to put in his remaining stack plus the difference between his 2bet and our bet:

$1.46 (villain's remaining stack) + $1.68 (his raise) - $0.84 (our original bet)

= $2.3

2. So we have $2.3 left to invest (1) and the pot will be $7.56 when we are both all-in (2):

$2.3/$7.56

= 0.3042 = 30.42%

Therefore we need at least 30.42% equity.

It's so typical of me that i'm taking long time to understand a single concept. Probably easy but yea, i see where i went wrong. Anyway, i still don't get the idea of why i have to subtract 0,84. Even tho it may aren't that important to understand, it's nice to know why anyway.

I need to have at least 30.42% equity to go all in in the hand. Do you mean that i should add 2-4% to that number so it would be 34.42% equity?=P

0.84 is the money you already invested before you got raised. That money is gone and not part of the money you STILL need to invest.

And 2 to 4 % means that you add a % between 2 and 4 to your total equity needed. So if the rake is really high you add 4% to the 30%.,
