Busted 54 + 55. Pretty disappointed in the way I played. Couldn't open without being floated and squeezed continually and it was making me feel very uncomfortable. I was too slow to adjust and should have 3 Bet and 4 Bet more often.
By the time I caught on, it was too late. 3 Bet shoved ATs in reponse to a MP open and he called with A3s. Knew I was gone even before the 3 flopped. FFS. It's so standard at Stars to be dominated by a weak kicker.
Hoping for some rungood today in #63, 64, and 66.

Just a short update on what's going on.
Ended up playing 13 (+2 non holdem) MM events. Cashed in a couple of the early events but I had recognised I had a problem in that I wasn't accumulating enough chips in the early and middle stages of mid-game.
So I tinkered with my game and blanked out the rest of the series. However I am not that unhappy. I am now more amenable to 3 betting in position, I fire more often at dry flops, cbet more when I miss (including following up on the turn because I feel I get floated a lot), and bluff a bit more.
So I feel that I now have more weapons in my armoury. I just need to learn the right time to use the right weapons.

So moving on my BR has taken a bit of a battering from MM and currently sits on around $11. I am stuck with that until around the end of next week as I have already sent money to PayPal to pay for my PT4 licences. Hopefully the money will arrive before the weekend because I did miss the HUD during MM.
My current plan is to wait until Golden SnGs start on Monday and start grinding the $1 45 manners. Just hope that I get a good start and maybe snare a Golden SnG. 
I'm also now going to concentrate on Turbo MTTs on weekends (low BIs ofc) to improve my turbo play. At some stage I will want to switch to turbo 45 manners so I need to work on that part of my game.
In other news, I have recently become a moderator. It was hard to keep quiet as I was so excited about becoming part of the PokerStrategy.com team. Nice reads from Ramble and Acespeci. Those sort of reads will serve you well in poker.

Woohoo. Money finally got to PayPal and I now have my PT4 Holdem and Omaha Small Stakes licences.
I never expected that I would actually miss the HUD but I did and now glad to have it back.
In other news, I had the opportunity to play all 3 Aus/NZ MM Appreciation Freerolls and cashed for the minimum in the largest one which was $20. (Very Handy).
So now I wait for Monday when the Golden SnGs start to go on the grind.

if it's any encouragement I find the older players do actually have a slight advantage over younger players. Not in terms of how many tables or how fast they learn but the fact time has slow down to them. While a younger person might quit after 3-5 months because it has becoming boring and lost interest. An older person always seem to pick up a hobby for longer period of time. Anyways, Maybe that's generalizing a lot or completely un-true. Just something to think about.
I don't think us oldies are quite as tilty as the young brigade but obviously I'm generalising. It does seem to be something I find hard to get them to understand, which can be quite tilting!
I think I learn just as well as an ankle biter but just a bit slower is all. Let's face it I was 45 when I graduated in 2000! (Long boring story) ♦
My biggest asset I am sure is patience - or maybe it's just pigheaded stickability - at my age I've seen a lot but I must admit I didn't have any as a youngster.

Thanks for posting.
Until about 3 months ago I was a very tilty person and had been all my life. Always getting into trouble picking fights and arguing. I had a very short temper.
After I had been playing poker for a while, I learned about tilt. That only helped me justify my anger. After all, apparently everyone tilted when they got a bad beat so I carried on.
After about 4 years the residue had built up to the point where one day in August, I literally cracked.
I could not physically bring myself to double click the PokerStars icon on my desktop. One day I did manage it, but couldn't press the login button. As far as trying to be a serious poker player was concerned, it was over.
However I still loved poker and anything poker related, so I kept coming to PokerStrategy and I continued to read about poker.
About a week later I was browsing through the forums one day when I came across came across a post that referenced Jared Tendler. I remembered that I had a copy of "The Mental Game of Poker" that I had never even looked at. Surely this would be my last chance to resurrect my poker 'career'.
Well, what an eye-opener that was. I read about the 1st 15-20 pages. All of a sudden I stopped reading. I felt fabulous. I went straight to the computer, mouse to the PokerStars icon, double click, login, fill password in.
I was back. Jared had got through to me in 15 minutes where I hadn't listened in 51 years.
3 hands into my comeback, I was tested. O/R KK got 3bet so I 4 bet shoved to be called by QT. Flopped top set, but runner runner gave villain broadway which left me crippled. I sat stoically. The next hand dealt out. I sat stoically. The software beeped at me to act. I still sat stoically. What was I waiting for? Then it dawned on me. I was waiting for the inevitable explosion. But it wasn't coming. I was sitting there as if the last hand hadn't even happened.
I had no desire to look to the heavens and yell obscenities. I didn't want to rip doors of their hinges. Unbelievably I started laughing and laughing and I couldn't stop. One of my housemates asked "What's so funny". I replied"I just went allin and flopped top set and got sucked out by runner runner" and kept on laughing. He gave me a strange look and said "That's not funny", but to me it was hilarious.
Over the next two weeks I noticed something else as well. I wasn't tilting in real life stuff. Everything was great. My mind was clear. All the poison residue that had built up in my mind over the years was gone.
While I am happy about the way things have been over the last 3 months, I am also wary that relapses or occasional brain fades are still possible. I must stay vigilant.
If anyone reading this has ever been through these sort of feelings before, then do yourself a huge favour and get a copy of Jared Tendler's 'The Mental Game of Poker'. I have still only read the first 15-20 pages of the book but I will finish it. At the moment I am just enjoying my stronger, calmer mindset.
Apologies to everyone. This was only intended to be a short post, but once I started I couldn't stop.

I won't actually start my grind until Monday when Golden SnGs start. I will be 4 tabling $1 45 man non turbos.
Also in January I will be setting myself a volume based challenge, although I haven't finalised details of that yet.
Also as of today I have my PT4 licences so I have a HUD back plus it's so much easier to locate and post hands
My playing plan is to play 2 x 4 hour sessions 4-5 days a week and play some turbos (MTTs or $1.50 45 man) on Sundays. I do think I'll need to switch to the turbo 45 man at some stage, so I might as well get some practice in.
I am going to have to be careful because I'm likely to be coming up against my good friends Acespeci ($1 45man non turbo) and 177272 ( $1.50 45man turbo) so the conversation in here could get quite lively.
Please don't give up on me yet, Marco

Well I sat down last night to start my 45 man grind. As the 1st table opened I said to myself "It Starts NOW".
Got to 4 tables and everything was cool. Didn't bust early. Chipped up on 2 tables. Then after about an hour I busted 2 tables. Then I realised I had a problem. I didn't want to load another 2 games.
Obviously my motivation to play long sessions (4 hours) is still not there. However I am not giving up. I will go into sessions now looking to play as long as I'm happy to and hopefully the sessions will get longer.
