Hi,

I would most likely put him on AK consider his huge 3-bet. He would most likely not to see flop and is fine taking pot down pre-flop. He may be also over expected seeing aces/kings or sometimes have TT/JJ, but AK seems to be most common that spot.

I would likely call and get all-in if there are no K/A high flop. If you think you have any fold equity pre, you can also just shove. With 52 hands you should have some kind of read to the player. Since it is 6-handed I would likely can´t r/f from the BU (if you were raised UTG then r/f might be best option)

best regards,

His 3bet is basically a "non all in all in" resteal shove. I wouldnt fold QQ Button vs blinds here even if we are close to the SM final table.(easy for me to say..he he) Im not sure i like flatting either for a third of my stack so i would just shove and double up vs AQ/AK, TT, JJ that looks like a likely holding when he 3bets like that.

So u flat and fold on A/K hi flop
What if flop came J/T hi or lower and he shove?

Spoiler

what if board is JTQ/9TQ and he shoves

Note: after his 3 bet we have efective ~ potsize bet left behind

Lovely spot. I think villain also has KK in his range. He's a nit and probably scared of an ugly flop, so I'd put him on JJ-KK, AK mainly. With TT I think he's too nitty to play like this, and with AA he might be more confident to raise smaller.

Either way, I'm shoving and taking this flip. If I win I'll be about chip leader on top 2 in the sunday million, so the future EV of the move is gigantic.

If you call, on A, K I fold. On Jxx I might fold, on Txx or lower I'm always calling. If I flop a set on basically any flop I'm going broke, even on QhJhAh.

Hi all,

Ship it in and win the monster pot against JJ. I see JJ more often than AK here, not that it matters. If I had AK I'm also shipping it in here.

If it would be any other tourney I would take my 56% equity and gamble to either win or go home.
Right here his hand range seems a lot AK (he may sometime has also other hands as JJ, KK or even AA), so I would first want to see safe board where I`m fine mostly getting all-in 70-90% favorite and I would likely have fold equity.

what if board is JTQ/9TQ and he shoves
- I would not fold sets postflop, since he can have there worse hands (including lower sets) or overpairs.

best regards,

what range we go broke here?

As chenny wrote AK, QQ+ seems reasonable. I'm folding TT every time. And I think I can fold JJ as well. It would be a sad fold, but given the circumstances and his stats it might be a wise move to lay it down.

Hi,

if there are left 27 players I would open three tables to see how players are playing, which would give me bigger edge likely @ FT.
You have played against him 52 hands, so you likely should have some information about:
- table dynamics
- your image
- his bb defending ranges
- his 3-bet ranges

If it is his first 3-bet and he feels like complete nit, then I would most likely r/f TT/JJ and maybe AK.
You usually can´t make it final 18 players (and have to 3 stack) if you´re complete nit, so he has to play for stacks at some hands. Hand combos say that he would most likely do it more often with AK than AA/KK/QQ, so I would usually go with my big overpairs against big raise. Just to eliminate flip I would prefer first to see flop and then either take pot down myself or get all-in 75% favorite.

With KK/AA direct shove is better, since I would rather get all-in against his value ranges being 70% favorite.

Also, if we think he is only 3-betting AK, QQ-AA then it is also reasonable just min-raise fold preflop. We´re not ahead his valuebet range:
Hand Equity Wins Ties
QQ 40.21% 114,253,440 11,080,068
AK, QQ-AA 59.79% 172,607,388 11,080,068

So shove seems bad to me, we can very likely steal/reshove enough times to get back our 260k and I don´t see reason why we should risk our one chance against nit. If player is not nit and would 3-bet wider then shove seems a lot better option.

best regards,

This and AK seems very close too.

His stats could still be decent players stats. Sizing makes "scary money" more likely than solid TAG. Sizing also makes TT-QQ, AQ-AK type hand more likely than AA or KK. Last time I went over the top here in deep run vs. tight villain he folded and revealed TT, folding equity is not 0 here. Obviously we should be opening 100% vs. player like this and we are super-exploitable here vs. bluffs even when villain chooses this sizing.

I go broke AK, JJ+ here, if villain is confirmed scary nit and has revealed AA or KK playing like this I might be a bit tighter.

BTW seems like a soft table so its not necessarily a good idea to take marginal spots.

I think JJ is too ambitious here, vs a range that looks something like TT-QQ, AK with minimum invested in the pot and massive ICM implications.

Ty! Been pretty lazy last couple days cause of it, so I've been neglecting this forum etc a bit as well as some grind.

Anyway I think we should be making the very exploitable fold with AK. That being said, in-game I'd probably sigh-shove.
