Hey everyone ,

I'm planning to go play live NL200 at a casino with some of my friends this week. Just wondering about the level of play. I have heard that most people are quite bad, but this often comes from other recreational players . So I'm not sure what to believe lol. Currently playing Nl50 zoom.

Cheers

I think the general consensus is that nl200 live is similar to nl2/5 online but I could be wrong. i'd say if you were a decent nl50 zoom player you'd have a massive edge

Where I've played its worse than nl2 online. Most players are just there to gamble.

Its more like a social thing, people just want to have a good time

+1, I actually really like this aspect about live over online. Its important to be authentically friendly to the rec players imo and understand the game is about fun not winrate (even though inevitably even half decent poker will win long run in these games).

If you're a winning nl50 player you'll crush nl200 live.
Just keep it simple, no one likes to fold pre, & don't bluff without equity imo.

No one pays attention to bet sizings, so just cbet 1/2 pot with bluffs, pot or overbet for value E Z game!

I find it fun, but have no idea how people could play live cash for a living!
30 hands an hour, no RB, travelling etc.

I've played a good amount of Live NL100 (NL200 only twice but it felt pretty much identical) and each even though I've never got past NL25 online I'm much more confident that I can beat them games than NL25 Online.

I'd love to have the bankroll to give it a real shot sometime that's for sure.

Each table at my local Casino seems to have 3/4 Decent Regs 2/3 Bad Regs and the rest being drunks or guys looks for casual fun with their £50 or so.

Its a strange game to start with, people opening 4+BB's from any position and getting 5 callers

Maybe stand and watch for 10 minutes or so first and then take em all out :P

Some places give out "Rake Free Tickets" to the first couple of players that sit down too, so be sure to ask or even phone up and get there early if you can get one.

I’m quite afraid to play live. I’ve heard a lot of negative feedback about live casino, mostly about cheating. I love to play online because you don’t get pressured of playing because there are less people around you thus you can concentrate on playing the game.

I've played live only once but loved it :f_love:

And like metza said it was like nl2. There were 2 regs on my table and the rest were fish (10max table) Everyone was limping and in the end even the regs gave up the raising. Having TPTK is the nuts and an easy stack off.

I wasn't very confident because it was the first time, but in may I'm going back and going to crush the place!

Have fun Ganimator!

Hey guys, thx for the replies. I actually posted this quite a long time ago :P .
I've been to the casino a few times now and can say it's basically NL2 fish, with some NL10 regs. I had a guy shove 100BB pre with 65s and Qjs preflop :f_eek: . It's definitely a good time win or lose.
