Planning a new video series

I would like to see a very detailed Series/video about Equity-realisation.
We often have the situation that we know we have the direct Equity to defend a hand preflop (IP or OOP). But we know we wont realise the needed Equity all the time. So how do we know if its still profitable to defend, and which hands wont be profitable. How can we identify the breakeven point for that, based on math.

Working with odds oracle and equilab on this case would be great.

I could even help on this topic, concerning the tools.

It's interesting for example if you are on BB, and CO opens, BTN calls, SB calls. You have a hand like K :heart:T :heart:7 :diamond:5 :spade:. You are getting insanely good odds to call. Your hand definetly has enough equity preflop to make this call 100 times of 100. However, postflop you will be loosing a lot of money by playing this hand because of other factors.

It's tough to do a mathematical analysis on this subject tough. Cause it's about how your opponents play, what are their tendencies etc... To some extent you could do it; like on what boards will our flush draw be the best; how often will we flop 2 pair that's getting payed off etc... But in practice it would be really tough to explain that in a vid.

Thats waht I was looking for. In which situations can we realize our equity to which extend. It would even be enough to point out the typical szenarios that will arise to identify how much EQ we really realize in those spots and overall.

Do you know what the EV is, if you hit the NF on Ah7h8h vs 1 opponent who is a standard nit reg?
Its the easiest situations of all to calculate it, but I bet no one really has done this. Why not try to identify those situations, group them, estimate the EV with caluclations and get a feeling for the real EV that this hand has in this specific szenario.
Its not about exact numbers, but I always just hear: "sure, enough equity, but hard to realize it." And I am like "ok, might be true, oop sucks, but I dont know exactly. He might be right".

There are so many factors that affect our EV. Like when we have nf, it really depends on opponent, his range and our dynamics.

Equity-realisation often goes with visibility. Like when we have KKxx, we have bad visibility cos on most flops we don't really know where we stand. Like when the flop is 335, we might have the best hand but it's hard to get our equity share. We might be valuetowning ourselves, or opponent might outplay us.

unfortunately i have very little HU experience. The only time i play HU is when i'm starting the tables, so i don't think i'd be able to produce a decent enough vid
