I guess your new to poker but thats a good way to start.

when you try the 0.5$ let me know how it went.

The chess tournament I entered over the weekend was alright. I played decent and I was kinda rusty because I didnt play for a long while due to poker. I will be playing in January again to qualify for the National Championships. There will be 5 spots up for grabs to qualify.

I've been playing poker for one year and i found DoNs on Ipoker extremely soft so i stick to them.

I don't want start complaining but i played 3 tourneys and i lost with quads vs royale flush ♠_mad:

If I lost quads vs Royal flush when I am taking few shots at a new limit I would be very upset, rant about the variance for weeks and blog about how pokerstars rigged.

Dont make the variance demotivated you from playing it though. The 0.50$ 45man MTT Turbo has less variance than the 0.50$ 360man MTT.

Guess your a cool dude.

You will have to be able to take the long non-cashes knowing that if you cash it will compensate. I mix the 0.50s with $1 45man regular so when I play the 0.50s 360man tubo its like freerolling.

Proud Day in Jamaica

Everyone back home in our little island was in an ecstatic mood when Tessanne Chin, a fellow Jamaican, won the Voice (a popular NBC TV show in the US). We love these moments that make us feel proud to be a Jamaican. Also when Usain Bolt competing in the Olympics and breaking the WR or when we qualify for the Fifa Worldcup in 1998 France.

Jamaican bobsled team was the best one.

Moving Up
Today I took my 1st shot at the $3.50 45man MTT and the $2.50 Turbo 180man MTT.
I got suckout in the $3.50 with my 88<A8 ( :f_cry:) SB vs BB -as you know already Ace always come on flop or river.

The players are very tight in middle phase playing ABC poker and no-one balancing their range by playing small ball.

I was kinda scared when I was taking that shot by pushing with 10BB late position until BB got fed up and call me with A8.

The $2.50 180man Turbo not so bad I was just scared to push from Ep.

Guess I will get use to it soon.

I started to mix $1.50 90man players KO to my sessions

I have 10 days left out of December/2013 to make $150. Yesterday I had 11 days to make $400 and I thought it was impossible to achieve while taking shots but I got $250 for free from a very lucrative christmas promo.

Now I need to earn 15BI each day or win a Top Gear Torny on the Ipoker network. If I win a Top Gear Torny I can give myself the Holiday off and enjoy the christmas festivities. Last month I had 7 days to make $200 then I came 2nd in a $1500 Gtd Top Gear Torny for $215 with 2 days of November left.

I have to set a certain amount of $ to earn each month so that I will know when to go in a 'Poker Lockdown' and grind like crazy to catch up if I am falling behind. Plus I wasted half the month training for chess so I knew I have to make sacrifices.

The Tides Changing
On Monday when I cam back from my chess Tournament I thought the games were getting soft because it was close to the Christmas Holiday but now am starting to think its getting harder to grind especially at the final table. As a result I will have to change my game and adopt.

On Monday I won 20BI and for the rest of the week I breakeven.

The Variance was starting to get annoying so annoying that I wanted to play cash games ..Lol

I have added a few moves to my tornament repertoire like going all-in on the river with a strong hand to get max value and hope they call or have a hand and going all-in when you dont have a hand when you think someone floating you. For example with AK when you dont hit. It been working so far. I saw a youtube video on it.

yes they are crazy. I just finish playing it today; really wanted that Ft. I got K.O. the most crazy way. I limp KQ from Ep with 10BB and this player with 15BB raise me 2.5x in MP2 and when I push (because its obviously not AA, KK, QQ, JJ) he call me with A9o and knock me out. Ipoker wouldnt even help me out instead it put no paint on the board.

Am too much of a reg to push KQ All-in from Ep1

But it is soft in the sense that for a $1500 Gtd Torny theres only 550 players and after the rebuy period 200 players left.

Lockdown day 3!
I been grinding like a machine for the past few days to achieve this end of the month goal while tolerating the brutal weekend, suckouts and annoying variance.

Been mixing the $1 90man KO and the $1 180man.

Still trying to increase my ROI and move up comfortably next month.

Hope Monday will continue to be softest day to grind.

The Holidays been wonderful so far; eating lot of food, drinking Sorrel mix with wine and spending time with love ones (that I didnt see much due to Poker).

This is my 1st Christmas with Pokerstars, I enjoy their promotions and I cant wait for the next Micro Million in the New Years.

Lockdown Over

Finally my Poker Lockdown is over and I get to enjoy the rest of Holidays.

I got a few cashes in the Top Gear Torny on Ipoker, increase my MTT ROI and almost got 2nd place in the $0.50 360man Turbo after not making a huge cash for sometime.

I was 3-1 underdog HU and my AQs lost to K9 when chipleader push All-in pre and I call.

2 more posts and I will release that poker video of me winning the $0.50 360man Turbo because posting a single Torny hand is not that interesting.

1st $2.50 180man Turbo cash

I was a on a downswing playing the $1 45man MTT. It was tougher during the NY eve so I got fed up and decided to play the $250 180man turbo. With the Turbo skills that I got from grinding the $0.50, a few suckouts and getting strong hands in good spots, I was able to make final table. I almost got 1st place 3way but lost some chips to villain and make him chipleader and had to wait til the 3rd person bust for the payout jump.

I didnt play aggressive and steal a lot 3way because I was taking shots at the limit but the player that won was stealing like crazy.

Am so happy to get my first ITM, first final table and first 2nd place after just taking 4 shots!
