December wrap up post and goals for 2014.

So December didn't go all that well as planned. First week was okey, made some nice profits, but that was the only week really i played my A-Game this month. Last 2 weeks i did make alot of volume on zoom, but volume and B-game or less isn't good either.

Gear Upgrade

I used to play on desktop at home and a laptop at my parents place. Both were dieing, so i ordered a new laptop this evening which should arrive tomorrow. $$ well spent, instead of buying fireworks lol. Having one KillerLaptop will also take away the problem of having multiple databases etc, so i can play atleast 10hr a week more i think, cuz i never really played on my laptop when i was at my parents place. Guess i'll earn it back rather quickly

Plans for 2014

Due to having a new laptop, ALOT more volume.
Rebuilding my Roll for nl200, (Crippled thx to cashouts etc)
Try'n beat zoom more
Work on ma gamezz.
Alot of adaptions on work attitude etc, procastinating as always, dem lazy pokerplayers.
Maybe workout more, need some gear first tho.
Maybe some supernova if i plan to focus on stars more.
Update this blog More lol

Looking forward seeing my new laptop tomorrow, it's freaking huge compared to this one, 17,3" and 1,5 times heavier. So i'll be playing poker and doing a workout when it's not on a table.

I could've bought it in ugly gold for 100eu cheaper, but it was sold out.
It's one of the few decent laptops i could find with a good SSD for windows/HEM and HDD. All the others cost a few 100 more.
And it's good enough for some gameezzzz.

So here we are in 2014, with a new laptop. Busy installing all the std softwares etc. First impression is very good! And it will print monnieees.

While everyone was grinding voor SN or Elite in the last few days, i decided to grind for Platinum lolz. Don't know why, cuz i'm not even sure if i'm gonna play on stars alot in the future. But i grinded the 7k!! hands without a hud on my old laptop 2 days ago. Better safe than sorry.

As i'm typing this i'm importing a bunch of old hands into HEM.. <3 the speed of my SSD.

And for some weird reason( i think alcohol and drunkness ), i can't move my right index finger 100%, hope it's just temporary, cuz i click dem buttons with it!

All in all the session went great and my new laptop doesn't dissapoint me.
Was 850bb deep at one table, wanted to get 1k bb's but had to quit.

Now i'm going to my crib to pick up one of my screens so i have 2 screens at my parents place aswell.

So were 5 days deep in 2014, pokerwise its going good. Had another 12BI session on stars. Doubling my stars roll 5times (From 350ish to 2kish). I know, awesome BRM.

Havent played yesterday nor today, bit hungover and shit to do for college which starts tomorrow again.

It's fun to see how terrible regs are when it's only slightly deeper, all money scared. I used to play the same as they did, but after a few months of nl200, nl50zoom feels like peanuts so it all goes easier. Gonna grind a bit more on nl50 to get back on to nl100zoom. Haven't played that alot yet :(,

Also played a bit on 888 nl200, immediately swung 5BI down, which was a bit costly after just buying new laptop etc, but won it back quickly and now 1BI up there.

Had a funny goal in my head, going for yearly statusses on both sites. No idea if i'm capable of doing that, stars shouldn't be a problem when i play nl100+ there, but 888 might be troublesome with the lack of volume possibilities.

Tonight no poker, but shoot some noobs on ma Xbox!

Just had this backpack delivered for my portable grinding work station

it fits my laptop quite nicely, but it has so many extra pockets for pens, papers ,little children, water bottles and all sorts of stuff! A BIG improvement from my regular college backpack.

Hmm have to pick 1 blog to update frequently i think. Currently i'm updating this blog and a dutch one both 50% or less. As everyone is able to speak english, i'll update this one more frequently.

15BI drop or so. Due to lack of concentration mainly i think. Hence the slightly dropping redline compared to the first ~11k hands. Last 1k hands i only 2 tabled, Redline is even going up this way :). Will get back to 4 tables of zoom, but have to stop autoclicking next hand when it's an utter shit hand.

Still after this 15BI drop, my winrate is 10bb/100 on this sample, so i just have to keep them grindz on. Haven't played for a few days, i was dead yesterday, couldn't sleep saturday on sunday at my Gf's place and had a football match yesterday = me dead.

Interesting thinline spot imo.. He made it rather small on the turn, making me think his range was more draw heavy. The King shouldn't help im either. So i raised smallish for value, giving him semi-odds and it's still rather big to overshove. thoughts?

interesting hands. First hand depends on his calling range preflop. In a SRP, I would check/call the flop but I think betting and barreling is a viable option in a 3bet pot.

About the second hand. I see your thought process but I still prefer to just call here as a default. Also, I do think he can have quite some K X, not a ton but it's definitely in his range.

I guess I would do the same as villain with that hand. When you call preflop, is mostly broadways, and you almost never hit there. All hands that beat this board always 5bet. Even TT 5bets and tries to get it in. I dont get your barrels tho. I think he has showdown value here more than not.

This is one of my 'pure' bluffs here, i still have alot of TT+ in my range, this seems like a viable bluff hand, cuz he reps some weak overpair that can't valuebet with his ch/c lines. I block AA/QQ, so i decide to rep QQ+

Sorry, I didn't notice stacks as I was looking through my phone.

Well then yes, it is kinda true that you have TT+ perceived range here, but also many different boardways, suited and off-suit. Even so, I don't think you can surely value bet those hands on the flop after he checks, his line is pretty polarized, either weak or value. Even if you block AA/QQ, he can still play those hands passive OOP on dry board just to let you spaz. If he is somewhat decent he is gonna play his value range pretty similar as he would with his bluff catchers, e.g. 89o as in this case.

If you have TT here or JJ for example, do you value bet flop vs check? What you do when get raised? When he calls, what range you put him on? I think that he thinks you are not gonna bet hands like TT+ after he checks, because even if he checks his range might be pretty strong on this board, IMO the only hand that would be the flop vs misscb this deep is AA, but you would 5bet it most likely preflop.
