I haven't seen him on the tables yet (I think) I don't look at SN's a lot…
I have most PS.com members marked already that play Zoom is special color. So I quickly see who is on my table, and therefore I can adjust accordingly.
I would also recommend doing so, sometimes PS.com members want to try some leveling wars, so you better mark them so you already know what to do.
Don't try to outplay me, it always ends bad... really bad...
Good luck at the tables!
Fast fold games
TT and JB give an introduction into fast fold games. It's nothing too special, just a nice introduction. It's nice to see TT's graph though ![]()
After that they go into the mind game + variance in fast fold games. Specially the variance bit I liked (looks like I have a thing for variance).
Recreational players and FFG
Manu explains how recreational players play differently on fast fold games. Again nothing groundbreaking but if you've never played fast fold games or have read about it it's a must read.
Strategy adjustments
Usually we have a set strategy i.e. some kind of SHC. In a fast fold game however we can change that strategy and exploit people more. Why?
Spoiler
read the book and find out!
Deep stacked play in FFG
I can't say to much about this because deep stacked play isn't discussed in here really, it's more of an introduction. They will however talk about deep stacked play later in the book.
This chapter also has a part where Manu tells you how you can really exploit the regs in fast fold games. Really interesting bit, but I think it should've been in the "strategy adjustments" part… Bit odd here imo.

Pretty ambitious call vs me.
I always run good vs PS.com members. When I raise, you are beat 100%.

I blocked most of your hands anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if you turned up w/ AA there.
Time for bed though. Gn and GL

I would never call minraise from the BU with AA.

(played session alone after and made it back to BE : 4BI :p)
It's just a small review update. I wanted to do this yesterday evening as well but I had to go...
Moving up to nl25
This chapter contains a bunch of hands that TT evaluates. This happened before in the book as well. But now they are more interesting, less basic. It showed me that I'm valuetowning myself on the river by not betting
And there is a nice bluff catching line in as well.
Earlier I complained about the way the HH is written and I have to admit that JB is right. Once you get used to it it's OK.
Spoiler
Would still be nicer to have a normal HH ♠_evil:

Nah Sorry man I can't help it though
Oh yeah btw I was kinda meh yesterday so I didn't want to play anymore after the -3BI. So I opened 4 tables nl2 zoom ![]()
Played 21/19 or something with a 3b of 15% great fun! Sometimes I can understand the donkeys. When the money doesn't matter as much it's a lot of fun to donk around. I ended with +4BI in non SD winnings and -2,5BI SD winnings so I made 1,5BI. Not bad considering I was shoving vs any raise post flop with any pair ![]()
I kinda wonder why it took me so long to get out of the micro's though. From what I've seen in those 1k hands it's lol easy!

You almost never have a value hand in that spot. JJ is a 3b pre most of the time and with 75 Ras blocks your value combos. It looks sooooo much like a draw or poorly played Jx imo. I'd happily stack off there too

Hey guys
Poker
Yesterday I played some poker and I started off really, really well! I was up 3BI in a matter of seconds. Then I decided to close 1 table and replace it w/ an nl50 table
And again going really well there. Then in the matter of 3 hands I lost $74 and I stopped the session
I was up $142 at one stage and ended with $68. Really it's my own fault. I tried to bluff in one hand and got called down. Thinking about it it's my own fault… Then apparently I went on tilt and spewed some more
Thank God I stopped the session. Really happy I did that.
Going to review the session now. Here is a nice hand on nl50. His cb size + check ott made me think he wasn't strong so he'd fold to a bet most of the time. Thats why I checked so he could catch up a bit. I wasn't sure about river sizing, but I think it was perfect here. Really happy with this hand tbh. Still going to post it for the judges though.

Music for today This one is a bit funny. Don't worry if you can't understand it cause neither can I… It's a Belgian dude but he's singing in his dialect and basically only guys from his area can understand it. This is one of the few dialects I can't understand. People from Belgium will know what I'm talking about.

Starting nl50
Again a bunch of hands evaluated by TT. There isn't much that I can say about this though. It's well done, well written and there is an interesting summary at the end. Things we should remember for sure!
I finished the first part now. To be honest I really enjoy reading this book, I've read some interesting strategy articles, some were very basic and a lot of hand evaluations. Right now I really hope to read some more advanced stuff. I am a little bit further in the book and I know JB is going to talk about 5CD. I'm really looking forward to that tbh! It's never bad to learn another form of poker.
Spoiler
Even though I don't even know how to play NLHE
