Hey,

opponent is a 87/3 fish.

Boss, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 5 Players
Poker Tools by CardRunners - Hand Details

BB: $40.51 (81 bb)
MP1: $59.60 (119.2 bb)
Hero (MP2): $63.74 (127.5 bb)
BTN: $123.37 (246.7 bb)
CO: $54.50 (109 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9 K A J
MP1 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, BTN calls $1.75, 2 folds

Flop: ($4.25) Q 5 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.18, BTN calls $3.18

Turn: ($10.61) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $7.95, BTN calls $7.95

River: ($26.51) A (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

What's the best line OTT/OTR against such a weak player? Is it even worth betting the turn?

I think betting the turn is not gonna accomplish anything other than push the money in the middle with a hand that has less than 50%. If you had some fold equity I could bet. If my hand would get at least gutter, then I could think of betting as well, but in this situation I think x/reevaluate is better. Same for river.

Hi,

i agree with the resonse pretty much. The problem is that the 3 is one of the worst cards for you to barrel. It's just a complete blank for him. If he liked his hand to call otf, he still likes it ott here. And of course the 3 greatly reduces our equity vs a calling range, so we'd need the FE we lack here. I would definetly check and evaluate here when the blank hits the turn.

Regards,

Skod
