5NL AJs squeeze J22

Preflop squeeze is ok. I generally just flat here though. Postflop can sometimes be awkward when called.

Flop cbet is fine. Would not fold top pair vs min-raise. Generally strategy would be to call flop and fold turn if opponent continues aggression. Hand is fine. Would consider flatting pf.

I thought AJs was a classic hand for squeezing here. Or would I be better off calling hands as good as AQo AJs and squeezing AJo T9s etc?

It's not just about how good the hands are equity wise.

It's also about their playability in a 3bet pot assuming our squeeze gets called some percentage of the time. We slightly prefer speculative hands OOP which suffer from no domination issues and are less likely to flop showdown value that puts us in awkward bluff-catch situations.

AJs is the kind of hand I much prefer to squeeze in position. There is not actually anything wrong with your squeeze here though, it's perfectly fine. It's just awkward when we flop a Jack or Ace vs an aggro opponent.
