QT trips on flop vs reg

Hello,

This is a reg, fairly tight. I think a defend is fine here; when I flop trips I am not sure whether to donk myself since that reg has 50% cbet after 220 hands. I dont really know whats the best line here - is it ch/r turn? I understand if I ch/c turn I am supposed to ch river as well... any thoughts?

Fold or 3b/f pre, flat this on the BB. As played lead turn bet river, no reason to expect somoeone to bet turn after flop got checked through

Hi,

I would also fold pre-flop. If player is loose then 3-bet is fine.
If you check turn I would prefer going to c/r.
As played: c/c or c/r river would likely work out better than leading.

Hi all,

Vs a tight reg this is a really bad defend from the SB. I think it's OK against some looser regs who play mediocre postflop. The main reason defending super tight in the SB is usually bad is because BB is going to squeeze light or overcall light and mess with us postflop making us OOP in a multiway pot. However this isn't really that big an issue when BB is really short, so we can defend wider. But vs a tight opponent we should still be tighter with our defense.

Postflop: check flop good.

Lead the turn yourself! I think check/raising reps the Q too well, and it is rare we get a c/r and a river bet through against worse.

Check/call is OK but you should definitely check/raise the river to let him barrel again.
