I had like 5-6 Royal Flushes in 50-75k hands so far, what do you have with it? I never get paid of, and you wouldn't also. The only hand that will pay you off is full house (very rarely 4OAK, and almost never lower str8 flush). I dont like Royal flush at all, I would rather flop set than royal flush

Man i played at least 100k hands and no royal flush so far for me when i was involved 
I saw i would get it once when i folded KTs in tourney. Is just nice to get the strongest hand even if is not payed out. I want royal flush! Like my friend want four of kind aces since he played like 200k hands and still didn't get that ♦ Is like with everything in life. When you get to much of them(in this case royal flushes) you just don't care anymore right ♦
I got four a kind aces in a tourney once. I was all but out with 60 chips and blinds was 300. Got dealt AA and BB automatically put me all in... flop came AA3... got five other callers and after the hand I hand 300 chips! One whole Big Blind!
the "sickest" thing is to flop quads ♦ everytime it happens, I'm like OMG OMG, and I'm checking cards if I see correctly and than how to play it, I don't want opponents to fold ♦
EDIT: I actually run once to full house (with diamont one Royal) and once to full house with lower str8 flush, but I got a serious bad beat long long ago.. I had 8888 against 9999

DaPhunks New Outlook His Personal SSS Mission - Another long post.
New outlook you say? Well, its not so much of a new outlook as "pretend" new outlook as a way of venting frustration with the worst programming i have ever encountered and how "unlucky" i seem to be. Please don't take this 100% seriously, but the "mission" i state is what i sort of aim for with my poker carreer. I've scrapped one of my internal "Goals" thinking it is impossible.
I will start with a quick rant about todays session and what i would be able to deduce from It if it applies to the long run. (this applies to the tables i always join first with the highest pots in the table listings);
Analysis of Todays session.
- Partypoker WILL lag will get worse and worse. You will never play a session without some bug or the other annoying the hell out of you and making it harder to play. (Today half my poker tables turned completely white)
- If you go all in with an overpair you will never win.
- Never bet with a draw. you will never hit.
- Never steal against a 100% fold to steal villain with hands you cannot push against a raise with. They will always have a good hand, or resteal you knowing you cannot call.
- NEVER cbet. The opponent has always hit a better hand than you, even if you yourself have hit TPTK.
- If you hit a straight, a flush or a full house the villain will somehow STILL always beat you. You only win with the absolute best hand possible.
- When you do manage to double up, preflop when you get AQs+ QQ, who are we kidding, KK and AA as well, DO NOT RAISE! You will always lose half you stack, or more likely your whole stack.
- I'm not saying you never win, just you mostly don't win. Sometimes you will win preflop when everyone folds to your AA. Then sometimes you'll be able to leave the table with 25BB
- and finally, if in doubt, that fishy opponent where you know you're way ahead of his preflop range. Well, you are! This won't help you though, the worst preflop hand will always win.
Now, to the what I've gathered from playing SSS so far.
- SSS is great for being break even. Why? Read on.
- Lets say you have a great session and win $50. You're up right?
- Yes! You are! However next session, or the one after you will lose this $50.
- This works the other way round some of the time also. Lose $50, you will get it back by getting "lucky" and winning with TPTK.
- However, sometimes you lose $50 you can say hello to your new Average BR. You will have great difficulty leaving it behind.
- The default State for SSS is breakeven or downswing.
- However, It is possible to sometimes make money when you hit an unusually sick heater. This means winning in all those situations where you are actually favourite.

Finally, i will give you the 3+1 non learning-related goals that i have had up to this day;
1 - Make money so that i can climb up the limits using SSS.
2 - Minimise losses by folding where i do not think i have the odds to call.
3 - Hit 250 Partypoints or more a day so i can get enough points and hit that lovely PartyPoker/ Pokerstrategy bonus.
4 - Play at least break even poker so i can some money back through Partypoints/other promotions.
My updated mission, which i now think is the best i can do;
Play enough breakeven Poker so that i can get $750 from the pokerstrategy/Partypoker promo, cash out money from all my reward points and GET THE HELL OFF PartyPoker!

Note - I decided to write this in a way that i could get all of my tilty feelings out of the way. I play the same basic poker when i am slightly tilted but generally i assume that i am going to get fucked by the opponent, Which definately happened tonight. This is why i decided to relieve my frustration by making this pesimistic blog update.
Up till recently recently i have thought that i played +ev poker. I worked my way up to $890 which was great. Then i managed to lose almost all of it and went right back down to $300. I thought heh, bad downswing, won a bit and got up to $500 and have now been +/- 10 buy ins from $500 for something like 25k hands. Then yesterday i finally broke free and got up to $640. Today i seem to get really unlucky and come right back down to $560. I don't think I'm ever going to make any amount of money through playing good poker now and i don't even want to think whats going to happen in the next session i play. Suffice to say I'm not playing another one tonight....
At the end of all this i have to ask myself the question;
Am i actually any good at this, Or am i just the average Long-run breakeven or -ev tilty average player of the game who is only alive now due to nice bonuses.
A couple of arguments for and against;
1 argument that i am breakeven; Almost 40,000 hands and I've gone from $890 to $560. Doesn't sound like a winning player does it?
2 arguments that maybe i'm not?; I thought my stats looked like good stats but are they? (Ignore profit - elephant screwed up) Assuming i get 13.5% rakeback as Ace3 on partypoker i would have generated $2000 rakeback on FTP.
(I can get $1000 through partypoints if i want to)

If you managed to read all of that i hope you enjoyed an insight to what i think of as "dangerously tilty thoughts". Something for you to think about though; I enjoy a challenge. DaPhunks "Tilt" post worked! Ultimate stress/tilt reliever!
w000t! It worked! My "Tilt post" relieved my stress and somehow my luck ;). I just played my first session this morning and I'm back up to $640.
It's a weird coincidence, but whenever i complain about being unlucky, being up against an "impossible" boss in a computer game, even that i couldn't do a piece of coursework when i was back at school, I go and prove myself wrong pretty much instantly afterwards.
An example;
The cause for complaining;
I was playing through Quake3 on Hardcore for the first time. I managed to beat most of the levels with just a couple of goes until i got up to the boss - anarchy! He was so damn annoying and kept owning me with rockets. Well, i lost so many times in a row, that i became convinced it was impossible to beat him. As soon as i got any kills he would just own me 10 times in a row.
The Aftermath of complaining
I got frustrated and when i had a couple of friends over and i decided to show them how impossible this boss was. Well, somehow through skill or luck or something i managed to wipe the floor with him right there and then with my friends watching. I only died twice and just kept owning him with some well placed rockets. I've never had trouble with beating him since either.
The Dubious Conclusion
All goes to show - I may not like it, but complaining and venting my frustration in some way really seems to help me achieve something. Its weird when things i consider luck based seem to go in my favour just after I've complained though... It's odd and i know that i only perceive the change in luck like this because of the human flaw of giving everything a reason when there is quite obviously no link. Its completely irrational and nothing i do actually has any bearing on luck at all, but despite knowing this i still "feel" I'm more likely to get lucky if i complain that i am unlucky. Comprende?

I don't know why but structuring a nice neat post is actually quite good for stress relief. Its nice to see a finished article that's well structured, with what i perceive to be some interesting content but written in a concise enough way to make it easy to read. I don't think my last two blog updates where short enough to be easy to read though
DaPhunk Is NL100 again!
Yes. I have decided to play NL100 again instead of waiting till $1k to start playing. I just played my first session and am up 2 BI. yay! Bankroll - $740
Now, i will give you a bit of info about how i play my sessions;
Step 1)
I will play 6 to 8 tables of NL100, adding tables with average pot +> 12BB. Table stats will be instrumental in whether i remain on a table or not. If i deem the vpip to be too low i will get the shizzle out of there.
Step 2)When i am down to 2 or 3 NL100 tables i shall add 8 tables of NL50, and when i am totally finished with NL100 i shall add up to 14 NL50 tables.
Step 1)
If i happen to run low on NL50 Tables before i finish on my last NL100 tables i shall add NL25 tables so that i am playing 3 limits at the same time. I will have up to 9/10 tables playing whilst i still have NL100 running.
Step 4)
When i have 4 to 6 NL50 and no NL100 tables left i will queue up enough NL25 tables to have 16 tables running + on waitlist.
Step 5)
When those NL50 tables are finished i shall increase my "effective" tables to 18. However depending on how i am feeling i may decide to not join the last two or even three.
Step 6)
If party is especially laggy and i feel i may miss some hands i will not play quite so many tables but have a "waitlist buffer" so that a new table is closer to coming up when i leave an exhisting one. This means less time spent playing with <Max n0 of tables.
Note-
I will always adapt this, to the conditions. My sessions will vary in length as i will stop whenever i choose. If i do want to play a long session i can as i will be playing lower limits when i am slightly fatigued and it does not matter quite so much if i don't play such an advanced SSS game. (Fatigue happens whether you notice it or not)

sweet pics! and good luck getting over tilt.. but normally that should go by itself as you gain in experience and (especially) confidence.. so if you remind yourself that you play well and that you're a winning player despite all the beats, downswings etc, you should be able to get rid of tilt altogether... i did thanks to (yep, thanks to) my biggest downswing, so you see they're not all bad if you know how to behave during and after one
DaPhunk spent yesterday very hungover!
Yes! I spent tuesday feeling very ill after going absolutely wild on a.... monday. I took the trip into london to see some ski films, (premier/highlights) made by some of the british skiing community. Met up with loads of people i knew and afterwards managed to get far too drunk on about eight quid. (about $16) Bottles of beer were £2, Vodka red bulls were £3.50 and i had a load bought for me/ given to me by people who were too drunk already! Great prices (Half normal leicester square prices), Great fun and a FIRST for me; the nightbus i caught got me to the station 5 to 10 minutes Before a train home arrived instead of 5 to 10 minutes After! I didn't have to wait an hour for a train home - Yay
This meant i got home at the record early hour of 5am! Score! More sleep for me
There is a sad point though-
I didn't play any poker for 2 days in a row, what with the partying on monday and the hangover on tuesday. I have things to do on thursday, friday, saturday AND sunday on top so i'm going to have to play every single waking hour this evening to keep my point average high enough.

DaPhunk, want to ask you - did u notice any difference between nl25, nl50 and nl100 in skill of opponents? Is it harder to play on nl50 and nl100 then on nl25 by your thoughts? Good luck on nl100.

Especially in retrospect I've noticed a lot of difference in the standard of opponents on different limits. Mainly between NL100 and NL50 though, NL100 feeling quite tight in general. Nl50 has many many fish and NL25 even more! I only realised how good NL25 was for SSSing when i went back to it recently and had almost all of my monsters called down by ridiculous opposing hands. I've had about 8000 hands of lovely calls from opponents on that limit now.
I play on partypoker though, i hear on pokerstars there are many more NL100 tables and fish.
I think of NL50 as a good place to start developing various more advanced strategies which will greatly help anyone in the long run before moving up to NL100. These would include;
- Adjusting the reraise ranges
- Developing your isolation raises
- Developing your stealing and restealing to the approach that suits you the most.
- Developing your cbet skills - when not to cbet
- Playing versus other shortstackers
- Playing versus aggressive opponents. - Calling dodgy flop reraises from 15pfr and 3+ AF type opponents.
- Learning to use slightly different lines. Eg. checking turn against an overly aggressive opponent to induce a bluff when you have the nuts, or reraising slightly smaller to induce a bluff from your opponent.
You'll do fine on NL50 go for it! Thanks for the support!
