The villain had really big stack and was playing pretty loose raising almost every round. Did i make a mistake?

Raise 3bb preflop...

and you can't make a mistake when going broke with KK preflop in a tourney.... AA Kk and AKs... are hands you don't fold in mtt's...

Raise is good, because you are in position. Insta shove with KK is a must.
This is a cooler, not a hand to thing about.

If he has PFR of 2< and ATS 2< and you have Fold BB to steal 100 you may thing about folding and then get real and shove

If you fold AKs in the late stages of a tournament your leaking chips... AKo is also almost never a fold in the late stages of a tournament...

Having over 30 M is not late stages, but if you have more than 100BB preflop all in with AKo is not always best vs. TAG UTG raiser ♦

I would go broke with QQ+, AK here, without some reads that my opponent is some massive nit. Also, because we are in position, I prefer a 3BB raise preflop.
