Hi guys,

Most players from the Indian community know me but I don't think anyone from the English community knows me so thought I'd introduce myself and start blogging here regularly. :)

I started off my poker career with the Pokerstrategy.com free money about 2-3 years back on Pokerstars. I unfortunately lost it after about 2 months and was quite depressed about it. I ended up spending a week on studying the silver status material and start with borrowing $5 from a friend of mine. Since then I've been running good enough to make it all the way to NL50 where I'm playing right now. I did reach supernova in 2012 which I wasted in 2013 thanks to being really lazy and playing on multiple sites.

However I decided to get really serious about playing last month again and decided to get to supernova again playing NL50 Zoom again.

I've been reading up a LOT and watching atleast 1 video everyday and trying to learn and apply as much as I can. Hopefully it will improve my results and can help me move up faster.

I'm pretty much on track to reaching supernova by around may or so and will be aiming to reach 200k vpps by the end of the year. Hopefully will be able to move up soon too. :)

My goals
1) Play atleast 100k hands every month from this month (March)
2) Move up to NL100 by October
3) Update blog regularly

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. :) Will have a look at your blogs too tonight. :)

I've been running quite terrible so far this year. Think this hand against a maniac kinda summarizes how I've been running.

Guess I need to work on my attitude a little too. Been thinking very negative whenever the money goes in.

funny hand, you just have to try and be positive, you get 170bb's in against a guy with 3 outs to a chop OTT, if you can keep doing that long term you'll be crushing :f_p:

Do you live in India and play professionally? I guess you don't 'need' that much money to earn more than average salary. Or even to just have a very nice second income!

Yes I do play poker professionally. I'm just 24 and an income of $1k a month is more than what most 24 year olds get so its decent I guess.

I invest most of my winnings since I don't really have any expenses at the moment besides money for food and drinking when I'm out. ;)

But obviously will need to starting being able to withdraw at least $2k a month once I get a family. So need to move up asap. Also I think reaching supernova will help a lot.
