I can't copy HH's from Microgaming even when i try raw hand history (tried with PT4 HM2 and HM1). Is there a workaround?
Do the hands work when you import from the original HH files?
Might just be a parser issue specific to the games you play, please send me a few hands to helmuth@holdemresources.net.
Is it possible to easily adjust the top of a range in the range selection window?
Some poker software has one slider to define the top of a range and another to define the bottom of a range. Is there some other way to do this in HRC that I haven't found yet?
In the current version you can either do:
SHIFT+ALT+Deselect a Hand:
Removes all hands with >=EV of the deselected hand. This is closest to what you want, it removes all hands "better" than the selected one.
CTRL+ALT+Deselect a Hand:
Removes all higher hands of the same type. e.g. deselecting A7s will remove AKs-A7s.
(More info regarding the hotkeys is available in the help.)
I agree a top slider would be nice to have, not sure if a widget like that is available though.
Hello, I have previously had a licence for the calculator and i am now looking to purchase it again. I am going to purchase it today and use it on my desktop and laptop, however within a week or two I will be getting a new desktop pc because this one's slowing down big time. Will i be able to use hrc on my new pc and laptop still? Thanks
Sure, you are able to switch machines later. The license system will typically figure out your active installations automatically and you don't need to take any further actions when switching machines.
If you do experience any troubles, please send a short mail with your key to support@holdemresources.net and i'll reset your machine registrations manually.
Hello,
6-handed satellite game (2 first places take 50% of prizepool) with 500 stacks, 50/25/10.
I used advanced calculation with "3-bet" and "additional allow shove", so each player can fold or minraise/call/fold or directly openshove. Calculation went for all players and I increased no. of iterations to maximum ->3000.
Please explain me the results of this calculation:
I got EQPost% 16.33 for SB and 15.77 for BB. After that I set SB minraise range to 0% and locked this range (only fold or openpush is possible) and run calculation with 3000 iterations again. I got better strategy for SB -> 16.34 EQPost and worse for BB 15.76, cannot understand that.
Sure. Remember that the only thing a Nash Equilibrium guarantees is that no single player can deviate from his NE strategy to increase his EV if all other players stick with the NE strategies.
What you have observed does *not* violate the NE condition. If SB switches his minraise range to 0% and then adds all +EV hands to his pushing range, he is slightly losing equity. (Although just barely at 16.32% vs 16.33%.)
Only once you have the other players re-adjust the SB end up with higher EV, but this scenario is no longer covered by the NE condition. It is somewhat counter intuitive that taking away an option will result in higher EV, but it's actually not that rare when you have high bubble factors.
Simple example of the same concept:
Getting rid of the "Swerve" option in a game of chicken is beneficial for a player if his opponent is allowed to re-adjust his strategy to this restricted game.
After last update HRC gives different (a bit wider ranges) results for push/fold calculations (ante is 10% of BB, WTA, 9-handed, 10bb stacks). Now, I am confused whether new engine is correct?
The last Beta Update? Can you give a hand example where you get different results please?
I believe pushing ranges from late positions are wider. http://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=1koc7akd8bcyd
Hm, i get completely identical ranges for the latest stable & beta.
Stable: http://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=cmnbbe74ly6f
Beta: http://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=13mtzohyt0rqu
What version did you compare to?
HoldemResources Calculator 1.2.0.201403141621
You uploaded hand from 10-handed calcaulation. I did for 9-handed and uploaded right after "basic hand calculation with unrestricted initialization".
Now your results should match with mine in beta, but I believe in stable version results were different.
Sorry, i uploaded for 10-handed first and then realized you used 9-handed and then re-upped & edited.
You can simply download the stable from the site and install in a different directory btw, so you can use both versions at the same time. (This only counts as one install for the purpose of licensing, of course.)
You probably you just remembered the ranges wrong in this case, the late position ranges even match the online calculator very closely, and that has not been updated for ages.
Thanks for reporting though. I'm always concerned about engine changes as well, i did test quite extensively before putting this one up though
I will check this.
By the way, do you know why CFRM fails to compute for http://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=j9ulvg4c1g12 after I lock SB mr range to 0%?
Ah, thanks again.
I can reproduce the CFRM bug, should be easy to fix. (Currently CFRM is not handling locked nodes correctly if there is more than one betsize.)
Hi i installed and bought a license. When I open the HRC on the "home" menu I have only : "basic hand " and "advance hand" on the deatailed hand analysis. I have been using HRC eariler on trial and then i had on the home menu "push/fold hand " and "raise/fold hand" Why i don't have it now? And what i need to do to have this? I know this is beginner
question but i can't really use program without these tabs.
Hi,
The features simply got renamed a while ago when raise/fold was no longer an accurate description for the advanced setups (e.g. calls & limps where added).
Push/Fold -> Basic Hand
Raise/Fold -> Advanced Hand
