turn AA in bluff otr?

im not sure tbh, interesting spot. Often i don't see us getting a ton of respect when backdoor flush hits so makes me more likely to check we might win v occasionally as well.. this hand is right on the borderline of hands we want to be turning into bluff.

If you had AAKsx then likely I would bluffshove river.
Since you only have 4x blocker he can sometimes take c/c line with lower flushes. But since he would likely fold 96 and sometimes J9 I think river shove is good.
You´re likely not ahead enough times to just check back river, but without no Ks or Qs blockers I would likely still not shove river.

yeah the only problem here really is that it's a bdflush where we are bound to get less respect on. I again have to agree with dylboi011 here. We are getting looked up too often here probably from my experience, and we do have some sd value vs a tiny part of his range.

It's all about implied odds. Against straight you have ~22% equity so if you call pot bet on the turn, you need to get around half a pot on river. If you think you're gonna get it, then go ahead and call.

If i have a this strong read on villain, i wouldn't fold even if he pots the turn. ♠_evil:

Well it depends if you think a) villain has only a str8 here, or b) if you can get a valuebet otr like PerusJamppa said, or c) if you think he folds when a scare card hits.

You don't have direct odds vs a straight though, that's for sure. But the board is so drawy he could be doing this with a combodraw, lower set + fd, something like AKQJds or some stuff like that beside the str8.

Strictly speaking, if you wanted to play just purely ABC turn is a fold.
