Hi

opponent in 207 hands: 21/9, AF 1.6, fold to cbet 33

When the turn pairs, would you bet it to make him fold a probable split, or you check bh to revaluate river? I think he has in his range a lot of FH on the turn, so I'm not sure about what would be the best play.

Thanks!

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 6 Players

MP: $83.29 (166.6 bb)
Hero (CO): $58.71 (117.4 bb)
BTN: $72.10 (144.2 bb)
SB: $18.38 (36.8 bb)
BB: $41.69 (83.4 bb)
UTG: $54.18 (108.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with T♣ K♣ A♣ 5♠
UTG calls $0.50, MP folds, Hero raises to $2.25, BTN folds, SB calls $2, BB folds, UTG calls $1.75

Flop: ($7.25) T♦ J♣ Q♥ (3 players)
SB folds, UTG checks, Hero bets $4.75, UTG calls $4.75

Turn: ($16.75) T♠ (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero?

Hi all

well, This opponent looks a little bit nitty, so yes, I think he could fold a str8 on the turn.

Against an aggressive opponent I would chbh turn and call river depending on his size bet (probably I would fold to a pot river bet just because on this spots more often they have a FH than not). But against this player, I'm not so sure if this play would be fine because he bets river only 25% of time, but this is a small sample to take this number into account.

Against him without reads if I check turn, I'm more inclined to give up. One thing to do this, is because more often than not, a weak tight player like this one, tend to limp trashy big pairs on early positions.

I'm not sure about the +EV play

Regards

Hi,

i would be the turn. It's quite simple really. We should be getting value sometimes from lower straights, and sometimes we make a split fold. If he has a boat that raises here we are drawing to 1 out, as QT and JT just call here, so i'd say that's the easiest way to play here. B/F 9$ imo.

Regards,

Skod
