Why don't you cbet this nice flop, where he DOES have a LOT to call with ? And then plan to x/r some boards, and x/c some ?

To answer your Q, main reason to check the flop is because the flop is so dry + we block most of his Kx hands + his range should be very wide for calling my 3b preflop. Thus if I bet I expect a ton of folds whilst if I check I get one bet from his air hands.

Well I'd think that people @NL100 would really FLOAT much more in these spots, rather than folding a lot, but ok, of course it makes sense what you said, thanks !

Funny day today

I woke up at 5pm with a terrible headache. Played zoom at 9pm for like 2hrs and played the worst poker I played the whole year partly due to the headache that was killing me. Took a few painkillers and decided to play mtts just to chill

Got a few deep runs. I was doing really well in the $11r and made the final table with a good stack, got unlucky in two big pots and busted out at 5th. I was very confident in winning the whole thing and had a big edge over most of the players at the FT but the poker gods decided otherwise. Great day regardless though!
