Uf today I was busy all day. All day at work. Once more tomorrow and then 2 days off. It will be like small holiday, because I work 6 days per week. Ok back to poker. Yesterday I play 30 tournaments and manage to do $3 profit. Douring the session I have bad time, but at the end everything solved out. I also post link in "weekly goal post" (Sunday post) 2 hands for evaluation, so you can evaluate and help mi get better :f_biggrin:, and 1 hand wich I evaluate (or more specific - comment).

Here are stats and graph:

How many tables do you play atm? The good thing with 9man hypers is possible volume imo. because you can add more tables eventually vs. 6max hypers imo. Am I right?

At the moment I play 6. I used to play 12 or more when I play 6-max hypers, but I don`t know if this is good idea for me at the moment. It was like that:
First day I multitable 12 tables (stacked) for around 40 min and then 10 min break and again 40 min of 12 tabling. I made around $34 profit in that day.
Second day I multitabling also 12 tables with same play/break sistem and also manage to get around $30.
But then came big downswing and I lost around $60 in one day with same play/brake sistem as other two days. And lost day after that and lost, lost, lost.
So maybe multitabling is not rigfht for me at the moment. I used to play $7 turbo 6-max and now I am at the begining. I watch one of Colin`s coachings, where he mention that you shoud try multitabling on those microstakes. So I try and fail. Maybe I was adding tables to fast, maybe variance hit and I don`t adjust quick enough. I don`t know. But now I will go step by step. Yes I wanna multitable, but when I will get familiar with nash and situations more, then will be much easier to do so.
So at the moment 6 tabling is enough for me. Next Colin coaching video woud be how to multitable, so I can`t wait to be available.

Absolutely reasonable, you might be on the right track when you said that you maybe added tables too fast. Especially, if you are stacking, adding one table per time would be the best ideao imo. (you are stacking either way- who cares if there is 7 or rounded 8 tables in the sack :) ) So, yeah maybe go one by one with some reasonable time periods. Also, Moshman is a high class mass tabler, so yeah, watching his tips will definitely help a lot :)

Hello,

I agree with you there is no point of adding more tables if you have spots where you are unsure of.

Cause the more tables you play the more these spots will come out - so if you make mistakes there they will be multiplied due to the volume.

When you get comfortable with your game you can start adding more tables i started with 2 now i play 12 - maybe in future i will play 24.

It is all about practice.

Nice blog keep it up and GL on the tables.

Hi. I promise to do a "menu" for 2 days so here we go:
SATURDAY:
- Breakfast: Omlet with peanut butter when wake up, after running, shake
- Snack: protein bar (which I made)
- Lunch: Chicken sallad
- Snack: Joghurt
- Dinner: Oatmeal pancake
SUNDAY:
- Breakfest: Fruit smoothie when wake up, after running , shake
- Snack: protein bar
- Lunch: Chicken in a curry sauce
- Snack: protein bar
- Dinner: fish in can with spelled bread
If you guys/girls have some suggestions pleas tell me. Especially for dinners. I will be also glad if you have some good recipes for healthy food.

Ok what about poker? Yesterday was again one nice upswing. Play just 15 SNGs, because I was really on short with the time and most of my free time is spent on evaluating my own play and learning correct play from HRC. I need to do that and if then is still at least 1 hour left for play I play it, otherwise I play just 15 tournaments to complete my weekly goal.

Unfortunately you have reached the monthly limit of hands you can post in the professional hand evaluation service board. Please try again next month. Alternatively you can: 1. Buy a higher status in our points shop 2. Obtain a higher status by playing in our partner rooms 3. Post hands and discuss in the free hand discussion boards Use the "Back" button of your browser or click here!

:f_o: :f_o: :f_o:

What? Is this true? Only 5 valuations per month? With silver? How many I get with gold? 10?
This realy disapoint me. Even PokerStrategy is not anymore what it used to be. :f_mad: :f_mad:

Ok. Then I will post hands here. When I spent 5 post in the professional hand evaluation service board.

Preflop: Hero is BTN with Q 3
6 folds, Hero raises to 40, SB folds, BB calls 20

Flop: (108) 8 Q 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 88, BB calls 88

Turn: (284) 8 (2 players)
BB bets 140, Hero fold

Now when I am looking at that spot, I think I made a mistake. I shoud bet around 1/2 pot on flop and then call donk bet on turn of around 1/2 pot. He can have a lot of draws there. So I think call or check back turn and if on river came Q push, otherwise check back or fold. What do you think? :f_confused:

Hey!

Love the way that you take action on everything :). You're even making your own protein bars! (would be awesome if you shared your recipe here). I see you're even using some of the recipes from my nutrition guide. I have a cool video series on nutrition coming soon (in a few weeks), that might give you some additional ideas.

As far as recipes go, you can search for them on pinterest. For dinners, I'd focus on having some protein (fish/meat/eggs/yoghurt/cheese/casein protein shake), together with fruits/veggies/nuts/olive oil/peanut butter.

Key is to make it exciting to eat. I think playing around with some salad recipes and being creative can be great for evening meals. (think adding walnuts, cashew nuts, apples, pears, different cheeses, eggs, chicken, tuna, salmon, beef steak, etc. to different salads - a TON of options!).

If you get stuck on something, you can always reach out to me personally at primoz.bozic@gmail.com - I love helping people who take action to improve their lives and skyrocket their poker careers.

Wow. Thank you a lot Primoz. I can`t wait for your videos. They are realy amazing.

would be awesome if you shared your recipe here

I find it on youtube. I also maid protein muffins (also from youtube).
Protein bars:
- 1/2 of tea cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Put those ingredients in a bowl and warm them up on small fire (only to the extent that the ingredients are dissolved)
In another bowl you put:
- 6 scoops (you get it with proteins) of whey protein (I use chocolate taste)
- 1/2 of tea cup almonds
- 1/2 of tea cup cranberrys
- 3 tablespoons of sesame seeds
- 3 tablespoons of linseeds
Then stir in the liquid ingredients. Stir them well to form a solid mixture. Then put that mixture in plastic container that completely fits and put it in fridge for about 2h.
then take them out, cut on pices that you wanna and eat.

:f_wink:

Yes Primoz I use your recipes, because they are realy good ones. omelet with penut butter is amazing :f_love: And fish also. And thanks a lot for being available for my questions.

Hello,

About that hand i do not play hypers but i tend to agree with you. You should be the flop smaller. A bet of 50/60 chips would do the same as a bet of 100 here - you are giving your self a cheaper prize on you Cbets + controlling the pot size.

His sizing on the turn looks like a strong hand to me. I believe he is betting 1/3 of his remaining stack (and he is not folding if raised). Most of the time your Q is not good here. Even if you are good on the turn he will have equity vs your hand FD + Over card to the board like a King or Ace.

Or he could have something nasty like QhTh where are drawing to 2 outs.

I would call a small turn bet and evaluate river IP but when he leads Big like that i am folding.

Awesome, thanks for sharing! Are you using the Naturally More PB? I suppose that's the most popular one in Slovenia at the moment .

Hi everyone. Today I have day off (and tomorow) so I will play little bit more. So I will be playing around 4h.

Thanks A55 for your evaluation! Yes it was mistake. At that moment I was thinking to bet large, araund pot, on flop, just to give him big prize if he have FD. On turn I woud probably bet again, around 1/2 of pot or little less if he woudn`t donk. But then I woud be commited and coud not fold on his 3b shove. It is wet board and I have only TP with no kicker. I think even check back on flop woudn`t be bad. :f_confused:

Are you using the Naturally More PB?

I must say that I am new to this stuf. I never used any of these products in past. I hear in one of your videos that whey proteins are good for contrentration during session. So I search for them and watch what other say. It was mentioned that this proteins can use everyone witch trains at least 3 times per week. So I thought that it can`t hurt if I try them. But as I say I don`t have any experience, so I even don`t know what to expect from them and when results will came. I start eating them on Tuesday. What are those PB that you mentioned? I really don`t wanna build muscles with them. Or be like bodybilders. I just wanna be better in poker. So if they can help me being more focused and don`t hurt my life, then I try. I wanna do everything what is the best for having more energy and stay focused on tables without being in risk of hart attack. :f_wink:

Ok. Poker. Yesterday I play around 40min and manage to finish 15 SNGs. It was again positive outcome, so I hope it will remain for a while to get my BR big enough for $3,5 tournaments. Also I relaised VIP stellar rewards bonus and get $10. And at the moment I am on 72nd place on SNG Leader Board for Mercury competition on high orbit (100 SNGs)

I never been so high on Saturday. It woud be nice to get $5 :f_love:

PB = Peanut Butter . There's this really awesome, healthy peanut butter that you can get in maxximum stores (and I think some other shops in Slovenia).

I think you're talking about proteins. Don't worry, even if you ate a ton of them, you wouldn't build muscles / become like body builders automatically... That takes a TON of focused work you know, muscles don't just grow on their own ;). But everyone has their own preferences, and it's awesome that you're taking action and adjusting the diet in a way that fits YOU well!

Great initiative and effort so far - total respect!

Question: Why did you switch from 6 max turbos onto 9 max hypers?
There is more variance in hypers :)

Now I know what do you mean Primoz. Yesterday i bought one from local shop so it is probably not so good one. So after I empty that one I woud go for Naturally More for sure. I already look for maxxime shop near me. :f_wink:
Also I wanna ask you what do you think about Dr. Sears Zone diet? I used it before and it have pritty good results. But you need to weight everything in grams. I was thinking to get back to it.

Thanks @IvicaIliev77 for your feedback! I also wish you best of luck in your challenge! Also I see that you are sick, so I hope you get better soon and continue to crush those HU hypers!! :f_wink:

Why did you switch from 6 max turbos onto 9 max hypers? There is more variance in hypers smile

I must say that because of VPPs and because there are more push/fold situations. When I was struggling with big downswing in 6-max turbos I hire a coach, just to be sure, that is not because I play realy bad. It hurts me a lot, so I must be sure. He tells me that I have some leaks, but it is more of variance and that I am pritty good at nash situations. Also I have really little time because of my job, so I decide to go to hypers. At the beginning I play 6-max hypers. Variance there is really brutal (probably in HU hypers even more :f_rolleyes: ), so I muved to 9man hypers.

And if we already speaking about variance in hypers. Yesterday it hit me. I cash out some money from PS client to pay for Sharkscoope for 1 month (bronze). But somehow I forget to put a point on 1 month so I buy for 3. And as always, downswing came. I don`t know whay, but it is the fact, that this happens to me everytime when I cash out.

Never mind. I must tell you this so I won`t bring it to the table :f_tongue:

Thanks for your kind wishes and for responding so fast!

I do feel much better today and tomorrow I will get back to tables hopefully :)

Regarding turbo vs hypers or format comparison, I have done quite a lot of work and analysis and can brake it down for you very easily.

HU hypers compared to 6 or 9 max hypers have the least variance. Why? Simply because you play vs 1 person and your edge directly comes into play. Your chance of running way bellow EV is far less HU then in 9 max.
The more players in the tournament the bigger the variance - simply because you have to survive and outlast them all !

In that sense 6 max has less variance then 9 max :)
However, another important thing you have to consider is a) Your current skill level b) Skill level of your opponents

If in the stake you are playing, you feel you have tons of edge vs your opponents, and your opponents on average are recreational players who you learned how to beat, then your variance will decrease and your skill edge will come to life more.

Finally the most important thing , why I asked turbo vs hypers.
In Turbo tournaments you have tons of more edge simply because you start deeper with effective stacks, there is different strategy ranges and way to exploit opponents in early mid and late game. So all these edges there can provide you with bigger ROI pre rb which would decrease chances of your variance.
In Hypers you start with shallow stacks, there is very blind levels and therefore edges and ROI is smaller = more variance

Hope that helped and made sense :)

Will be following this thread ;)

Thanks a lot! Everything is truth. So you recommend me to play 6-max turbos? But at the moment I am not prepared to go back to turbos right away. I really don`t know whay I am so obsessed with VPPs. It woud be more beneficial if I find game where I can make more money not to look for games where I get more VPPs. :f_confused:
You relly find me thinking with that question and your explanation of variance. Now I am confused. :f_confused:

Hehe :)
Didn't mean to puzzle you or put you in a hard spot.

Think about where you have most edge and it will help you most long run.

If you are better with ICM shoving, calling, r/calling, 3 bet shoving, 3 bet NAI etc then hypers are way better choice long term because they can lead you to SNE in future.

If you got all the ICM solid + pre flop and post flop edge as well as crushing in HU, you can definitely make more money playing turbos and have less variance.

Also 9 vs 6 max. 9 max you can play way more tables because game is super solved in pre flop, people generally play very tight ranges, 3 bet tight, post flop play very little or super predictable and wait for late game to stack off. 6 max you play vs more aggressive opponents in general who will 3 bet you wider, play post flop more and put you in tougher spots.

In the end it comes down to what game/format you like the most and what you are trying to accomplish.

You said you didn't take your downswing well so that's why I don't suggest you do hypers cause variance will be even more brutal there (as you move up the stakes and even at micros).

Tons of things to consider when making decision but to get you going think about things I said + following things:

a) how many tables can you multi table turbos and how many hypers?
b) what is your expected ROI playing turbos and hypers long term?
c) what is the traffic and opponents like on higher levels (15-30s+)?
d) do you have some set amount of money you are looking to learn, what is your long term goal(s) with poker ?

From my experience I played both 9 and 6 max, both turbos and hypers and now in April doing HU hypers to improve my overall game plan.
To me 6 max turbo is better choice vs 9 max because it feels much more alive, much more action and it makes me use my brain more, feels like real poker more then 9 max (even tough I am 17 tabling 6 max )
HU hypers are really special but they require super solid game plan and post flop knowledge as well as putting opponent on ranges well which for beginners will take much longer to grasp and make money in that format.

All the best :)
