It's not the best card in the deck for sure because he has A
in his range absolutely, I would go with check back, we still have some thin SD value I guess?
Man this is one sick project+dedication right here.
Will defo follow your blog.
All the best wishes, keep grinding!

@FFRRAANNKKIIEE : but don't you think that if he had AKdd/AdQ he should fold to a river shove ? I think if I am him and I had AdQ/AKd I will fold to a river shove given there is flush and KJ is here and ofc some sets..
by the way I just checked the river ..and he showed KK

turn : what do you do here ..my thoughts are not clear ..
I just hate to bet here 1/2 pot and fold to a x/r shove :/ ,but is that the most +EV line ? why ?
I was thinking to just jam VS his draws that could x/r ..
what about x behind ? and fold to any river bet or x again for some SD value ?
check behind is better because he wont fold most of the time.
if i bet on the turn, i'll make it about pot size to fold pp
hey guys
So far this month low volume ,cause I am trying to improve my game a lot specially the red line ..by reading books and a ton of vids
and it looks it is going in the right direction ..I was loosing at the red line 23bb/100 hands and now I am loosing only 10 bb/100 hands ♦ not the best but great improvement I think . I start to 3bet much more from the blinds and and do some good bigg bluffs in good spot..and plan my hand by not calling turn and folding river too much..and the most important thing I am trying to improve my mental game always ,I discover that solving the problem with getting too happy or high when you win will help a lot to Eliminate the losing sadness and anger ,I have just to believe that the money won in the short run isn't my money ,and losing money is an investment to win in the long run by playing my best... I think thinking thinking in this tip helped me a lot ♦
So here is the graph at nl20/30 :
CHEERS !
Hey ,this is the Goals of the month to see how I did at the end of the month :
play 140 hours around 60 k hands
:spade:study strategy 50 hours
:spade:study mental 12 hours : 3 hours a week
:spade:study English 25 hours
:spade:go to the gym 4-5 times a week given my body building schedule
what to study ?
finish the course for 6max (I have a good one)..it takes around 20 hours
:heart:daily analyze for my play by discuss hands and study them (~1.5 hour a day) .
Mental game : the mental game of poker : 1-tilt section (~9 hours)/2-fear section (~3 hours)
GL!
Hey guys
I really need your help
?(
I am a solid winner at nl20/nl30 for over 150k hands 6 bb/100 ,but I am losing a ton in my red line and this is what is stopping me from moving up faster to nl50 /100
I was losing in my red line 20 bb/100h and I took a shot at nl50 and I was crushed
I moved down and improve a lot
:spade:blind defence : now I am 3betting vs steal ~11.87 % and fold to steal 71 %
( it was 3bet 6 % and fold to steal 82 %)
:spade:I start to plan the hand a little better by not calling too much a street street and folding a lot the next one
:spade:I now fold to cbet flp ~50 % fold to turn cbet 44 % and to river cbet 63 %
(and fold to river bet 64 %
:spade:cbetting flop 57 % and barrelling turn 55 % and river 50 %
AF 3 3.4/2.8/2.5
:spade:WTSD 24 % WSD 55 % WWSF 42.18 %
winrate SB -2 bb/100 hand
BB -40bb/100 hand
I play 28/22 style
and now I loose 14 bb/ 100 hand in my red line and it is still not enough to play at nl50 !
I want to make it less than 10bb/100 hand
cause this what I think a profitable style to play at nl50+ (that what I see winning regs has)
but I feel lost and I really don't know what to do ?!!
Should I start barreling on blanks and be a maniac !!? what do you do guys ?? ♠_confused: ♠_confused: ♠_confused:
what did you do guys to improve your red line ,any book ..video ,home work ,advice ??
THANKS
The best advice I can give you is this - the sooner you stop caring about your red line, the better.
Does it really matter weather you make your money by making super thin value bets and taking lines that force your opponent to fold the hands that you beat anyway via showdown? For all that matters if you start playing 100% of your range overbet / overbet / overbet you will have a redline heading towards the sky, but does that make it the best strategy?
The only line worthy of your consideration is the green on. With 6bb/100 winrate over 150k hands on nl20/30, moving to nl50 shouldn't be a big step, it probably seems bigger in your head than it actually is in reality.
P.S. 28/22? Is there a particular reason for calling so much? In my general experience with the micros rake is the real enemy, so basing your strategy around passive lines often leads to sub optimal results.

Hey battle hunter ,maybe this is the best advice
yesterday I stop caring about this red line ...and I found that my confidence get back to me ♦ and the grind was much easier... I dont know maybe these words helped me a lot ..I was back to take the most +EV lines that I think and stopped caring about anything..thanks man
For 28/22 I am calling too much cause at 888poker there is a little more multi way pots than normal (and limped pot ) I feel that I have the right odds to call PF with wide range and cause I have a decent edge in these pots...

if my experience this is rarely the case, because calls are often marginally better than folds preflop, and rake eats away all your potential profits (and often makes u lose from those)
I don't know how it works in PT, but in HEM2 you can filter hands by action. In HEM2 the filters would be:
Preflop actions:
1 limper, 2+ limpers, single raiser
AND
Did Cold Call = True
I would recommend filtering your hands this way and checking the overall winnings under these conditions in order to better refine your strategy ![]()
P.S. Always keep in mind that having the odds/equity does not automatically make your call profitable as you have to play postflop and find a way to win the hand, and for the most part you are gonna be playing fit-or-fold vs. the fishes, so you rely on hitting with marginal hands
actually I am exactly break-even after 700 action
in 1 raiser and I cold call
and 1 raiser and callers
..mmm is the rake counted in the result ?
and when there is 1 limper and limp back I am slight winner
with two limper I am slight looser break even...
but I realize something in PF actions when I just put voluntarily put money in the pot = true
I am winning in every spot but I am losing a ton in :
Facing PF action : 1 raiser and caller(s) 692 action ,loosing 139 bb/ 100 hand
but after I put cold call = true I am break even ...
is that normal ?
Thanks
VPIP includes your PFR, and the times when you are the PFR are supposed to be the times when you make the most of your winnings.
As I mentioned before - try to reduce your cold calling, in general I am not a big fan of talking it stats, but for the sake if it - try to have your stats look closer to 25/22

Good note.
I have noticed that when you call tight your results get more steady and climb gradually. But when you cold call too much then the game get so wild because of lack of initiative and untill you have taken the control or realized where you stand there is a ton of bad calls and lost money.
BattleHunter can you suggest what hands you would call in position vs lets say 15-20% opening range (MP/CO range) and what hands vs late position open from blainds?
Hope this helps you Jack too. GL
Hey guys !
I just wanted to share this with you that I quitted Poker, It was a tough decision and that made me realize that poker is addictive even if you are not a gambler and you are working hard on you game...
I quit because :
1-poker is so lonely job to me. (It killed my social life)
2-it doesn't fulfill my life at all, it's just for the money.
and the reality money isn't happiness !
3-you are not giving anything good to humanity, Even, we are giving them something bad, we induce them to gamble more to take their money, and we all know that gambling is very bad in life.
4-spending all that time to master a skill that :
-not sure it will last in the future to provide me.
-not giving me back social value (like a doctor or a teacher ect...
-there is so much other things in life that you can spend that time to master and are so much more fulfilling and better and help others and the humanity.
5-the guys that make it to the top are very rare and we don't even know how they live their lives and what they do and even if they really exist !
6- all these points ARE FACTS and you cant lie to yourself that they aren't = so that lead to a very stressful job
PS : some of you will say that I am a quitter, because poker is so tough, but in reality there is a fine line between give up your dreams because (maybe laziness ) and realizing they are not what do you really want in life and stop the addiction !
*I worked hard on poker for over a year and I played around 700k hands starting with 10 $ turning it to 5k $ from nl2 to beat nl25 for over 4bb/100 and taking shots at nl50 (not huge fast success cause of ton of cash out and bad not studying the right things) ..I was so motivated and I was trying to work as hard as possible ...
but in the end the shot that I give it to poker ended up !
I cant say that I wasted this year, at all ! it was a lifetime experience ! and it made me discover and create my self ! all that mental study and self employed job was an amazing experience ! I gained a lot from this game, a ton of skills that will help me in my life !
Poker is really like life...all that long term result and the battle between emotions and logic ... Wow that amazing.
but you know what is missing !? it misses Love..wanting to help others ...I will spend my time to master a skill that will help others and humanity at least a bit !
Good luck to you all !
Cheers !
