Yes you are definitely crushing the $15s, hopefully it will be like that for you for the $30s as well (just not when playing me)

Gl gl!

Excellent results Klompa, your game has definitely improved!

I know you are table selecting, just wondering how many tables do you play maximum?

9 most of the time. Take up to 12 if tables are really nice.

$15s graph a thing of beauty. :)

If anyone "deserves" success in poker, it's you. Really hoping mother variance gives you a big sloppy kiss in April.

Had a weird session just now.38 games and other than last couple of tables when one reg showed up, I had 5 fish per table. Everything was green. Didn't stand a chance, ofc. They butchered me so hard.. :f_confused:

Month has been even worse than the last one so far. Setups all around, feeling completely helpless. Really hoping it'll turn around in the near future.

Thanks :)

Still waiting for that kiss tho. I'd settle for a dry one on the cheek atm. :f_biggrin:

Pretty tough month behind me. Definitely an improvement compared to the last month, made some money if nothing else. :) But still, pretty shitty results. Think card distribution, post flop and all that stuff hasn't been treating me that nicely but ok.
Started 12 tabling lately which is nice, I think I'm handling it well and it gives me some extra time to spend on reviewing my game. Did a lot of that this month, have a pretty nice routine and hope I don't break it.
Gonna make myself a challenge to play 3k games in May. Gonna post more often throughout the month, maybe it helps me not to give up on the challenge.

Thanks for attending tonight and very happy to hear you will go for 100 a day + multitable.
Look forward to your results in May !

Got over 1k mark for the month. Still lots of ups and downs but ok. Completely comfortable with 12 tabling. Been playing 6-7 hours a day except for the last 2-3 days when I just felt a bit more tired than usual so didn't want to force it. Will do my best to get back to 100+ games a day and get as close as possible to those 3k games that I set as a goal for this month.

Didn't manage to hit 3k games but I'm still pretty happy with my volume this month. Think that upping number of tables to 12 didn't influence my game in a negative way, hope I'm not wrong. :)
Can't even remember anymore what does a proper run good feel like. Waiting to hit a heater or something, anything for months now but it's just not happening. But OK, I'm too numb to worry about it and if I'm capable of making ~2k during this kind of run I should be happy with myself. Fuck everything else. :)

Next month I'm going on a vacation, will be away for ~10 days. Really looking forward to it as I haven't had more than 2-3 days off in a row in last 2 years or so. That leaves me with ~20 working days next month so have to plan grinding so I play at least 2.5k games.

June:

Spoiler

Haven't had a losing month post RB in quite some time but this month was just brutal. Took 11 days off so volume wasn't that big. Not much else to say about it, pure hell day after day, getting worse and worse all the time.

Half way through 2014 so time for a ytd graph and my reflection on the past year or so since I started with my poker venture:

Spoiler

And last 4 months:

Spoiler

So... basically, haven't made any money pre RB in 4 months, running ~270BIs below EV in that period and ~230BIs for the whole year. Funny thing is it's not like I've been running like the sun prior to that. I only have this year's sample on my new PC but since I started my journey on 3.50 6max turbos I'm around 500BIs below EV. And the difference between the lines doesn't tell half of the story. Every now and then a decent month sneaks in but most of the time it's just torture, pain and suffering. :)

I remember watching tons of videos, reading blogs of successful poker players back when I was just starting to take poker seriously. Back then I learned that poker is a game of skill, that eventually it all evens out, all one has to do is work on his game and grind it out. Sure thing.
I don't think I ever heard anyone telling how big of an impact luck has on making of a professional poker player. It's huge, it's way bigger than any successful poker player would be ready to admit. It just doesn't go well with the image of a lean mean fish killing machine that works 44 hours a day, eats broccoli, meditates and does push ups while he stacks his chips. It wouldn't be that good for the game if that guy came and said: "Meh, at the end of the day, I was just lucky". No, the reason why he succeeded is because he ate right, exercised and wasn't result oriented. That's my favorite poker advice - Don't Be Result Oriented. LOL. Maybe when someone, next to Visa and Maestro adds EV line as an option of payment that starts making some sense.

Pretty much all of my plans for this year are going down the drain. I know to most $ amounts shown on the graphs above look like pocket change but while you're trying to get things going, get some results for all the hard work, it makes all the difference. And the hard work is really fucking hard. There's no way of preparing yourself for all the torture that poker brings. The other day a friend told me that there's no way he would ever recommend playing poker for a living to anyone. And sadly, I had to agree. I say sadly because despite everything I still love poker, love every time I sit down and start a session. Don't know what that says about me, maybe I just love being stomped to the ground over and over and over again. Maybe I'm just insane. But I know I surprised myself with my ability to endure rain of shit pouring on my head and not stepping away from it. I was never the guy that doesn't care about obstacles on his way and marches on no matter what. I guess that's one more indicator of how much I love poker.

I've had a period, like the one I'm having lately, last year, just couple of months after making my first $$ from poker. I was depressed, unable to do anything besides think about poker, bad run, curse my luck... I couldn't eat, sleep or talk to anyone. Today it's different even though the level of stress is way higher, I dare to say it would be too high to handle for most people. That brings me to another thing. My biggest "hot run" started when I contacted Tim64 and started working with him. He is the only one to blame for me still being here and trying to make it in poker. There's no way of describing how much he has helped along the way. Not only with his awesome poker and teaching skills but with all the support and pep talks. He's the proof that genuine good people are still out there. Even if I don't make it in the end, I'll always be grateful and there's no way I could ever repay him for all the help. Funny how some guy out there you've never even met can do more for you than most people you've known whole your life.

So, I've already wrote a bunch of stuff. Wasn't planning it but w/e. Maybe it won't make any sense when I read it later, who cares..
As for the other things, I still work on my game on a daily basis even though it's hard to find any motivation for it. But I will continue doing it, gonna fight till the end so to speak. :)
For July, I made a huge challenge for myself - reach Supernova. For that, I need 23524 VPPs or ~3960 15$ games. 12 tabling with table selection. Starting the challenge in 10 minutes. At the end of the day, all I can do is grind. Good luck to everyone.
