This is strange. Is it possible that you've changed filename of to.exe to something else?
If updating is not working you can always download latest version manually from the website. Unzip it and copy options.ini and license.dat from older version folder.
IMPORTANT UPDATE
PokerStars recently changed their prohibited software policy. It's now prohibited to use "Any software that offers dynamic, real-time commentary on the current game state that goes beyond reporting data and statistics.". Due to that it's no longer allowed to use preset bets filtered by raise size, and position relative to the raiser. These filters were removed from Table Optimizer as well as option to use raise size in bet formula. Please, update TO to the latest version.
After update AVG send me an alert message because of the to.exe.
What should I do with it?

It can show your stack in BB, but it can't convert all stacks and bets at the table to BB.
I am trying to use to arrange my tables in 2 monitors in tile way. I set up the arrangment in the same way for 2 monitors. It works well, until I use one monitor, but I have some problems with 2nd.
1. If I close a table on first monitor and I have a table on second, is it possible to automatically move table from second monitor to first to fill the hole?
2. I have my second monitor on the left side of my main monitor, so it looks strange, when the second monitor starts to fill on the left upper corner. Is there a way to reverse or define the filling order?
Minor issue: when I try to pin to tray (in Win 8.1), it looses its icon, do you have workaround?
1. You can't do it with tiling but you can do it with slots. If your create a layout with tiled slots and enable "Move new table to slots" option it will work like auto tiling of new tables. The "Sort slots" option will automatically move all tables one slot down when you close a table.
2. It will be possible in next version. Now you can do that only with slots.
I don't have a workaround. Are you trying to pin shortcut or to.exe file?
I started the exe from the folder, where I copied it, and I tried to pin. But doesn't matter, I have a shortcut now, that has icon, that's enough for me.

got a trial version. I am playing 12-15 stt's on stars and after games gets shorthanded I pull those tables away manually. So decided to see if the optimezer can do this. Assigned slot with shortcuts (F1 to F3) so they move tables from the stack to different screen corners. Result: no movement of tables, seems like shortcuts are not working. Stars shortcuts are on. Thanks.

It looks like tables in your main stack have incorrect height. Have you ever used remove titlebar option?
How often does it happen?
Have you tried if resizing table manually fixes it?
I almost always remove the titlebar and borders. I play in stack mode. It happened only at Tuesday and Wednesday, since then works fine.
I tried to resize, but did not solve the problem.

It would be damn helpful if you could stack tablesin Slots by number of bigblinds..
slot1 all tables > 50bb
slot2 all tables >30bb < 50bb
slot3 all tables > 15bb <30bb
slot4 all tables >8bb <15bb
slot5 all tables <8bb
slot 6-8 hero postflop
That would make it so much easier to not lose overview... You now on which stack you probablyare able to set mine or on which Slot you only push or fold without always checking
