BTN: $2.54 - VPIP: 5, PFR: 5, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 21
SB: $1.75 - VPIP: 14, PFR: 2, 3B: 4, AF: 0.7, Hands: 140
BB: $2.63 - VPIP: 37, PFR: 16, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 19
UTG: $1.32 - VPIP: 13, PFR: 13, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 23
Hero (MP): $2.12
CO: $1.60 - VPIP: 10, PFR: 5, 3B: 0, AF: 0.0, Hands: 21

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is MP with A :club: Q :club:
UTG raises to $0.06, Hero calls $0.06, 2 folds, SB calls $0.05, BB calls $0.04

Flop: ($0.24) A :diamond: K :spade: J :diamond: (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $0.23, Hero???

Which is the best play vs UTG cbet pot with 3 players left to act?

I'm raising to like 60c and folding to a shove, only slowing down if the Q or T hits or the flush completes.

EDIT - If SB and BB fold I put UTG all in on the turn regardless of the card. And calling if UTG ships after they fold on the flop.

Hi Lukas619

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: this is an ugly spot indeed. Bets 4-way like this are almost always strong and you have no indication that villain is a monkey or a fish so actually a hero fold does not seem bad at all.

The second option would be raising but what do we do vs a shove when we'd have so little behind?

Given the texture, whether it's SB vs. BB given they only elected to call preflop you can assume J,K Q,K Q,J T,Q + any flush draw. Sometimes a random gutter or raggy ace.

So I fold.

However, as you say leading into a 4-way is perceived as a strong play - so what's our aggressive play say about our hand? They shove with better/FD fold with worse virtually every time imo. Leaving us with the Shorty who as I mentioned previous I am happy to get in with and assume I am ahead :)

Of course we do have a nut gutshot straight as well....

This would be the way I PERSONALLY would play the hand unless you have some words of caution or ridicule - Either is good ;)

He pots the hand 4-way here so he likes his hand. Either that or he bluffed so I will not make any assumption of potentially getting him to fold his better hand.

When people tell me they are strong and I have no reason to not believe them I just step away from the hand/scenario.

Best case scenario for us is that we get it in vs KQdd and even that has a ton of equity vs us. And if we are behind we are pretty much far behind.
