Poker Stars, $0.91 Buy-in (50/100 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players

Hero (SB): 2,103 (21 bb)
BB: 1,605 (16.1 bb)
UTG+1: 1,455 (14.6 bb)
UTG+2: 1,936 (19.4 bb) VPIP=70 PFR=0 Hands=20
MP1: 2,828 (28.3 bb)
MP2: 835 (8.4 bb)
MP3: 955 (9.6 bb)
CO: 2,618 (26.2 bb)
BTN: 1,300 (13 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9 9
UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls 100, 5 folds, Hero raises to 2,103 and is all-in, BB folds, UTG+2 calls 1,836 and is all-in

Results: 3,972 pot
Final Board: 2 J A 4 T
Hero showed 9 9 and lost (-1,936 net)
UTG+2 showed T A and won 3,972 (2,036 net)

Maybe the shove is profitable but I want to question:
Most of the time the call will be flip and because it is early in the tournament its not worth it?
I did not want to raise with this stack and play out of position a big pot...
I am thinking finally about just calling and play three way pot.

Any opinions ? :)

Hey Tzoun!

Most of the time the call will be flip and because it is early in the tournament its not worth it?

early or late... doesn't make a big difference. You want to find the decision that brings you the most chips. In this case its either r/c or shove! both options are possible!

He calls normally the worse part of his range against a raise but its trickier to play it postflop. Against a shove he isn't calling a lot of worse hands BUT he is going to fold a lot too where you are going to take down 250 chips!

Out of Position play is not that tough... I mean you can still ch/f on this board after you raised him pre!
