4% 3bet. Should I raise? I am afraid I would iso vs AA so deep, because he is tight? also even though I am very agro vs him (folds 60% flop) still I am not sure what he thinks about my raises.

Hmm, what do you think about donking the flop, if you don't want to check/raise? He won't really have too many air bluffs here we can get value from.

If we think his range is so strong that he doesnt have much air, then bluff donk wouldnt generate enough FE, so it would be -ev on flop, and it is question if it could become +ev on later street. So i could only exploitative donk, which i dont like because from reg it is perceived as even stronger line than cr and that makes call range weaker.

Do you think you need to balance vs this villain? ?( This spot rarely happens anyway. You would get 2-3 streets of value from Ax, 2 streets from draws.

If you want to be balanced, I guess you shouldn't have donkbet or check/raising range here, as his betting range should be strong, but this way you lose value I think.

Getting more value is more important, than to be balanced in a spot that probably won't ever happen again vs the same villain (who probably doesn't even notice anything, he is a 18/14 nit).

No need to balance vs him, but as i said donk looks so strong at this positions. Still likely ok, hard to say which line makes more money.

Hey GingerKid,

Preflop defend is standard while deep.

Flop + turn calls are fine here, I'm not seeing much necessity to raise. Hard for villain to continue when we are leveraging the deeper stacks.

River x/c or potentially river donk/fold . Depends on the frequency with which opponent will check back. Even though he can have AA he still has primarily worse hands in his range and some of these are buffcatchers that may call but will check back vs river check.

i think without strong reads, like him spewing away or folding too much, this is a mandatory raise on the flop.
4% is tight but not tight enough to only be worried about AA, which is 3 combos.... like ~7% of his 3b range and probably something like ~10% of his cbet range.

I think it really depends on how villain palys in deep spots
-> unclear if he always 3bets AK pre and how he values it agianst cr post
many guys a rather bluffheavy in deep pots since they often feel uncomfortable w weaker valuehands but still continue w their standard bluffrange

-> I think c/c can very well be better than fastplaying if we assume him to be bluffheavy and not really going for thinenr value
which aould be a solid default assumeption imo

Imo we dont need only strong reads. Population read is also helpfull when both EVs look similar. And i know that average villian will rarely call down one pair hand deep for this positions.

that would be my guess as well
-> therefore i would slowplay
