Hi guys just moved from cash to tournaments.

Should I just shove the flop( to protect my hand) or take the passive route like i did?

Villain just sat down 3 hands ago

hi,

the call on the flop is perfectly fine imo.
often he did not connect with the board or has an underpair.
why do you want to shove the flop ? you want worse hands to stay in the hand and keep betting and you will not get better hands to fold the hand.

on the turn he can have a draw, so a good cbet by him.
and he gives it up on the river, as he still has showdown value with Ace High/King high or an underpair.

now on that board top pair with Ace kicker is really solid and should be the best hand most of the time on the river.

for those cases where villian has an underpair you should get some value on the river.
so I would prefer a bet here.

so in total my line would be check/call flop , check/call turn, donk bet river.

I would donk around 3/4 pot as it's hard for him to put you on a hand.
a low of busted draws out there.

Without info I re-shove pre-flop for 18bb deep effective. I don’t like to play post-flop out of position against a small stack. Flop and turn I’d like your line to check/call there. Than is his range as wide possible.
On river UTG player has only 24.637 (less than half pot) chips left. I don’t think you can set him profitable for value all-inn on river, because is unlikely he bets under pairs like 77-88 on turn and missed draws will bluff maybe the river and folds on river bet.

Hey guys!

Worst reshove pre #ever

its a standard flat... we have almost 30 bbs. I flat there with pretty much any stacksize > 12bb. Why should we reshove when we don't know his utg range... he is not calling us with many worse combinations... so why should we reshove...

As played its fine... as all draws bust i probably bet river myself... ch/decide is fine too!

Greets,
