I wish I could watch the whole footage though, there was a lot of play and talk, it actually had a playable structure. As regards my episode I am quite curious how will they cut it into such a short time frame, I wonder what will they leave out...

So far I haven't really played this month. I only played Sunday Storm where I fished ~800 out of ~40k for a mincash and Women's Sunday where I did not even get ITM

Other than that I played some Spin 'n Go on my phone while waiting for my daughter to get into deeper phase of sleep so that I could leave the bedroom (tried leaving sooner but she noticed --> tilt ). I run into AA the very first hand --> even more tilt

So when she finally fell asleep I decided to relax and watch the 2nd episode of Shark Cage (who would grind on Mondays anyways )

I really liked it, think it was more fun than the first one, had to laugh when poor Theo was in the cage!

Back to the tables after several days. Started over-ambitiously, did not end up well. Sharks do bite, I learnt my lesson, thank you.

Thinking I can just sit down at nl500 and above in the evening, after taking care of my daughter since ~7am +doing housework... without even preparing for the ssn... right...

I decided to forget the sharks for now and go one step at a time. Also, I am going to try to make a transition from normal tables to Zoom for obv reasons.

So I challenged myself to play the next 20k hands exclusively on nl100 zoom, 2 tabling. My target is 10bb/100. Depending on that I will consider moving to nl200 zoom afterwards.

Today I played 2k hands on zoom. Was quite satisfied with the way I played. Especially what striked me the most was a moment when I was dealt AA. I remember I was shocked to see them, it was almost the feeling when you ask youself "whats this"? I honestly did not realise that I was not being delt AA, it was only my 2nd in 1,9k hands at that point. I almost forgot AA existed.

Thinking about it I really feel good about my mental game today, was obv in the zone, otherwise I would be complaining about running bad long time ago

There was an instance of a horrible mutual blindness in the 6th game, I dont understand a word but the reaction of the commentators is priceless:

Also, if you have not yet seen the 4th episode of Shark Cage :heart:, its a must watch!!! It is the best one so far, very entertaining and funny, I loved watching it! Bill Perkins was pwning the table... and Shannon Elizabeth is sooo funny when tilting

For me the endgame of chess is the part where I say "checkmate", pick up a piece and "accidentally" crash the table. Then I say "oh you lucker, I had you. We'll call it a tie, ok?"

aaaaah, the good old bluffing at chess

I've witnessed so much, nothing will surprise me anymore... people capturing their own piece to avoid being mated (fine, it makes sense afterall), but the top was an international tournament in China, guy moves twice, the opponent objects but the Chinese arbiter lets the game continue like that :f_eek: :f_biggrin:

Vishy must play some live poker and get proficient at reading tells. Magnus had it all on his face as he was writing his mistaken move down.

Sadly, it's the end of Vishy's fame. Everything could have gone different, now it's almost too late.

I was not watching but my df said the same thing about Magnus. I cant blame him for the lack of poker face, mine is far from ideal too:f_biggrin:

I have been playing zoom, it went well at the beginnig, played 2 tbls and run good but then I felt a bit doomswitched and had my probably worst downswing on nl100. It was a mixture of things.First of all, I was not used to play zoom, its a different game although still 6 max nl100. Not used to playing on Stars either, different playerpool & general tendencies etc.
I felt I was running bad as well. So what did I do?

add 2 more tables
play longer than usual
play looser and more agg.
got involved in more marginal spots
made it a "click faster / get more hhs" game

I could have saved several BIs but I was tilting and overplaying hands that I finally got... anyway, here is my graph:

Hopefully I learnt something and will continue on the right path. If not, I would go back to regular tables but for volume reasons I wish to make a transition to zoom... will invest some more time into it.

oh and I know this is pretty old but I only bothered to watch it yesterday, cant remember last time when a video made me ROFL w tears in my eyes! My df finds it stupid but I can relate because thats actually how I feel when I see a normal spider:f_biggrin:

Though playing the same number of hands an hour at reg tables does require forming new habits, I think that, in the end, the amount of VPPs and earned money is bigger there than at Zoom because you play more flops per click (or per hotkey press). It's hard to follow the sequence of actions when tables are stacked, so I prefer to play tiled or in a stack-and-tile fashion.

Very very sick you got on the shark cage. I actually just watched the one with ike, esfendiari, elky etc. It seems like there is actually quite a bit of strat implications with that involved.

You may be right about the reg vs. zoom tables, but my problem is that I hardly have 2 hrs / day for poker. Besides, my common problem is that when I start ssn (only when my 1 yo sleeps) and she wakes up, I have to quit instantly...:| on regular tables that means sitting out "next hand" and many times being kicked out of the tbls which sucks big time. Had a bad ssn several times when I returned and was tilting obv :facepalm:. And there is no guarantee that after you start the ssn again she wont get up again

When you play zoom, you dont have to worry about starting / finding tbls + when you sit out "next hand" as opposed to "next bb" it will remember it for 30 mins I believe and you wont loose your prepaid hands..

I follow the match mostly on Twitter and have a glimpse at what they played when I have time...

Sure, the cage in play affects you, there were antes from the 1st level so the threat of spending a whole orbit in the cage was uncomfortable... I made a stupid call because of that actually but I guess it gives you better implied odds to call OTR so you avoid the cage. The other thing is that when you finally make it and play on the same table as the stars, you just want to sit there and play the longest time possible and not be somewhere far away, lonely, behind bars

Some of these line ups are like way easier than others. I tend to not give very much credit to the so called sharks that are just live pros. I'm not sure how to think about this from the perspective of the aggressor, winner take all but like you said the person calling gets a better price on a call. I guess you could take it even further saying that vs certain people bluff catching is even more +EV (ike comes to mind) since if he is gone you now have an opportunity to get involved with weaker guys and pick off some chips. Probably some sick leveling going on there, also I think the push/fold ranges become wider here when short than a regular mtt.

Lol, when you think about it, they should not try to bluff the fish because either it does not work out and they miss an orbit or it works out but now thr fish you want to play against sits in the cage ♦

I'm on a streak here, just finished 3rd haha. A lot of these guys are just clicking buttons so hard but I guess that's why they are mtt "pros".
