Hello!

IPoker, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $11.20 (112 bb)
BB: $7.01 (70.1 bb)
CO: $3.10 (31 bb)
Hero (BTN): $10.51 (105.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 9 A
CO folds, Hero raises to $0.23, SB folds, BB calls $0.13

Flop: ($0.51) 9 3 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.35, BB raises to $1, Hero calls $0.65

Turn: ($2.51) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $2, Hero folds

BB: 83/50/6 (VPIP/PFR/H)

Preflop: Standard.

Flop: Betting TP for value. Against a check/raise, I believe I can call with the TP and backdoors.

Turn: Not sure, but think it's a fold to that sizeing (maybe even to lower ones).

Why do you raise preflop by so small size? You have good hand and in fact it's steal for value. I think you should raise 3bb size.
At flop against unknown player you have to play standartly. Standart is bet\fold. There is a very dry flop, respectively here is no ways to half-bluff, that's because in his range will be a lot of value.

Sorry for my English, I am foreighner.

I always open raise with that size. I don't want to raise big for value and small as a bluff, that would be pretty much a tell. Some guys raise even 2bb from the BTN standardly nowadays, but I believe that's not neccesary at NL10. Since the opponent is an unknown, I believe he could have some bluffs on the flop, like overcards, and I have TPTK + backdoor nut flushdraw.

I would be agree with that size if it was regular tables, but it is a speed poker and i sure that at nl10 too little opponents pay attention at disbalance of your sizing.
Concerning the flop there is a proverb: "to unknown opponents we should to believe".
That means, if an opponent makes a strong move, we should to believe that he has a strong hand, until proven otherwise.

It's my opinion and i don't set a goal to bring over you.

Yeah, migh be that they don't pay attention, I agree with that. But I rather stick to the standard size + I don't think A9s is that clear value hand. Yep, we probably should believe to unknowns, but I'd bet I heard the opposite from my mother when was a kid. :f_biggrin:

Not a problem, thank you very much for commenting!

Hey guys,

I think hand is played fine.

Villain obviously represents very narrow with his line here, but calling down usually ends up being a mistake. Villain often just misplaying his value-range (or slowplaying something preflop). So fine to call once with the backdoors and then fold on the turn unimproved.

Hello, w34z3l.
I am from russion comunity of pokerstrategy. I saw the translations of your VODs and I liked it.

We have such practice at hand evaluation that if a topicstarter wants his hand was evaluate by specific proffesional judge, he writes it in the name of topic.
Strictly speaking I started this practice. Theare was two professional judges in our comunity and an evaluations of one of them I liked and another I disliked. So I maid a choice. Now the judge whose evaluations I liked retired.
So I have a question: do you have such practice in English comunity? If no, whether it is possible?
Or I should ask such questions in Feedback and Suggestions?
Thank you and sorry for my English.
