Hey bud, I'm not sure if I missed it in earlier post or not... It looks like a beautiful hotel - but do they have cheap monthly rates? A month in a hotel like that here would basically wipe out any poker winnings... Are you sharing room with someone? Is this a grinding pad with others???

The whole beauty about this deal is that I get everything included and in return I have to play 6 out of 7 days per week 5 hours live CG.
Sometimes it will be hard because Monday through Thursday there is less traffic live so I might end up playing 3-4-5 handed. I don't mind doing that but it just brings different live adjusting when doing it.
As I said my main expenses are included and my main concerns fall in 2 areas:
- If I will be able to maintain high level of motivation there (there are some girls that want to hook up with me and will try to get me off my path!)
- If internet/upload is solid enough (if I can't coach from there this is not good deal long term and will look to return to Nis ASAP for my students)

I will not list family best friend and girls as reasons because this goes without saying, I am just stating obvious problems that may arise while I am there.

I am not expecting to make millions nor hit the bank cause in 1 month or 3k or so hands I can pretty much be card dead and not make a single dime in live CG!
I am however expecting that isolating myself there will put me in fanatic mindset and discipline and that I can see where I am at with my online CG grind and studying.

Appreciate you for following my friend and asking follow up questions. I check on your blog daily and am really looking forward to that feature you are keeping hidden for now in some future update ! ;)

Haha yes yes and yes!
New girl last night was doing her best to distract me. I was giving in occasionally but decided to play it cool.
At one point I told her " What's the rush, I am here 30 days minimum, plenty of time to get to know each other". That drove her even more crazy cause she is used to guys hitting on her instead of cooling it off - standard line! :f_cool:

Gevgelija 30 Day Challenge

Day 2 (17th of January)

Worked on the game
Coached 1 session
Worked out
Ate 3 healthy meals + drank over 3l of water
Went with family and best friend to famous restaurant in Gevgelija for some lovely lamb meal for lunch
Grinded CG online 5 hours (2x2.5)
Grinded live CG 5.5 hours

Results wise online pre RB I lost 2 buy ins and live I made profit of 221 euros playing 1/3 limit.
Online was card dead for most of the 5 hours grinded and also had 2 huge bad beats + 2 or 3 bad calls. I am working heavily daily on fixing that leak. Once I fix it I can expect much higher win rate on CG and way less swinging.
Live CG profit was good but I could have made over 300 euro on top of that. One hand in particular where I had A10o on As10s3c where I bet (20 euros), opponent went all in (67 euros) and another guy just called all in where I ended up isolating with my all in , 3rd opponent folded, guy who went all in had AcQc and got runner runner clubs for nuts flush. About 240+ euro hand including all the pre flop action that went on.
Look forward to future days of both online and CG grind as I am super motivated to improve and go for CG switch long term. It would be pity if I went back to 20 tabling SNGs as that gives me no motivation whatsoever now to improve and play same opponents over and over. I want to improve, move up stakes, become better player, increase my hourly, long term make 100k+ a year and to do that CG is the best way to go about it. I follow some CG crushers who already make that and I see no reason why I can't join the 100k+ a year club, all it takes is fanatical focus and approach to improve my game. I am willing to do that in 2015 and hope to reach that sort of hourly (66$+/hr post RB with 1500 hours of yearly grind).

Things accomplished so far in the challenge:

Working out 2/30
Studied 2/30 hours
Coaching 2/30 sessions
Online CG grind 10/150 hours
Live CG grind 10/130 hours
Ate 3 healthy meals + 2l minimum of water 2/30 days
Robin Sharma's book "The Leader Who Had No Tittle" 0/90 pages
Drop 5kgs

2015 Challenge
Things completed so far in the challenge:
7/300 Study hours
15/300 Coaching sessions
50.5/1500 Grinding hours
13/150 Work outs
27.5 hours Live Poker

Here is the plan for today:
- Already ate healthy, said farewell to my family and best friend and worked on my game 1 hour
- No coaching today as students didn't confirm 10-11 slot for the day (will make it up during the day off from live obviously)
- Will hit the gym and pool now for workout and re-energizing
- Rest of the day as stated in regular time management , grind 5 hours online + 5 hours live CG
- In the evening if I finish it all by 2am or 2:30am, I shall update the blog with everything that went on today, if not tomorrow morning!

Days 2&3 (18th and 19th of January)

Worked out 2 times
Worked on my game 2 hours
Coached 1 session
Had a coaching session for CG
Grinded online CG 10 hours
Grinded live CG 9.5 hours
Ate healthy both days and drank tons of water
Weighted on the scale today, down 2.5kgs already!!!
Some really important things to say that are on my mind.

Since January started my mindset has been all over the place. It has to do primarily with not having financial stability that I want/need/feel that I deserve. This results into a lot of swings in my mindset at the tables. I am working on the game, putting the volume but it doesn't really matter as I make mistakes that I would never make with regular mindset. The cause of the problem is as I said financial situation in my family. I am under huge pressure on daily basis and this has been going on for 6+ months. I think I have finally reached a point of burn out with all the stress that has been hanging over my head. It is 100% affecting my decision making, making me play either money scared in some spots or to call down light opponents expecting/leveling myself that they are on a higher thinking level then they actually are.

Overall I am not happy (but rather mad) at all with my level of play for the past week. I am seriously considering taking a day off and not only a day but more than that. Of course in reality money has to be made cause the situation dictates that and no banks or companies that provide bills care if you make money or not, they will charge you extra if you are late anyways...

Some possible solutions for current problem I am trying to deal with:
- Take 1 day per week off every single week until mindset is more settled
- Bring down expectations for CG
- Bring down expectations for my brother to make a living from SNGs in ultra near future
- Consider and re-evaluate returning to SNGs to mass multi table print money for 2-3-4 months until money situation will be hopefully resolved (brother making a living by then)
- Consider moving far far far away to some distant beach (Asia), resetting the mindset and getting away from the whole stress
- Consider coaching way less and studying more to improve at faster pace, become more self centered and selfish and give huge value to myself 1st and only then provide it to other students

What I would really like my life situation to look like now or in super near future:
- Brother finally making a living with SNGs (number 1 priority in my life for long time now)
- Students studying and grinding 5x more, doing the work outside of sessions on their own, accepting the variance in poker and becoming their own bosses therefore not needing me in the future
- Having way more time for working on my game, improving so that I can reach the hourly that would secure my life's future in 3-4 years
- Have way more relaxing/regenerating time then having it currently

Will not talk about results a lot but will just say that past week was really bad for me. I don't remember last time I had such a string of days where I played bad and made bad decisions.
Good news is, I know what my leak(s) are and I am working on them daily to correct them.
Bad news is, my mindset is not safe right now and whenever financial situation comes to my mind I am immediately getting that uncomfortable feeling, getting upset inside, angry, loosing it, starting to be more critical of both myself and my brother.

Solution would be to stop thinking about it. Sounds simple but its not cause every month I have to find the money for us and nothing changes for 6+ months. I think that my patience and faith has run out and perhaps at this point I feel that situation will never change or that it will stay like this for a very long time.
The internal conflict that I have with myself is how long can I keep going like this? The answer is, for not too long. It has already affected my mindset greatly on the tables for past week and it is like a huge dark cloud in my mind that is taking me over.

I will write a blog update once I figure out action plan and decision I made on dealing with this ASAP. Otherwise I will keep spewing online and playing some sort of C- game which doesn't lead anywhere.

Regardless of the solution, I have to keep playing and making steady money no matter what or else we will end up on the street.
I feel the final solution to fixing the problem will be my brother making a living from sngs eventually. Until then I have tons more mind pressure, tilts, getting unnecessary stress when our financial situation goes through my head.

It sounds like I am not happy now. I am unhappy at myself for letting all this affect my mindset at the tables and stopping me from making most +EV spots and crushing + improving. This is what I am unhappy most about.

Enough about my mental game problem. I wrote all this down (took me over 40 minutes) to let you all know that I am not perfect human being. I have feelings like everybody else and certain things that tilt me in my life. I try not to let it affect me but it has reached the point that it is become a problem for me.
If you think about it, it is really funny at some level. I don't get tilted by other opponents but rather by my brother. Jared Tendler should probably write MGP3 on that unique tilting experience!

Things accomplished so far in the challenge:

Working out 4/30
Studied 4/30 hours
Coaching 3/30 sessions
Online CG grind 20/150 hours
Live CG grind 19.5/130 hours
Ate 3 healthy meals + 2l minimum of water 4/30 days
Robin Sharma's book "The Leader Who Had No Tittle" 0/90 pages
Drop 5kgs (2.5kg down already after 4 days here in Gevgelija)

2015 Challenge
Things completed so far in the challenge:
9/300 Study hours
16/300 Coaching sessions
60.5/1500 Grinding hours
15/150 Work outs
37 hours Live Poker

Here is the plan for tomorrow (today already)
Wake up 9am,have healthy breakfast
Coach 10-11
Work on the game (marked hands) 11-12
Work out and relax 12-1
Grind 1st session 1-3pm
Lunch brake 3-3:30pm
Grind 2nd session 3:45-5:45pm
Grind 3rd session 6-7pm
*Transfer all the marked hands to the cell phone to keep studying while grinding live (when out of hand)*
Grind live 7-12 or so

This time management might change tomorrow as I am hitting the bed now and will not force myself to grind anything tomorrow if my energy will be super down but will rather take day off from grinding and invest it in working out regenerating and studying/reviewing my game

Hey bud,

Sounds like you are having a rough time right now based on a lot of things that you have been dealing with for awhile.

The worst kind of pressure is the kind we put on ourselves through our own expectations, and even worse, our expectations of others.

Just my 2 cents, but in your current state, it may be wise to take tomorrow off and seriously consider these things:

You've got a lot of friends and supporters here, people that like and respect you - BUT nobody expects you to be perfect. No one is. Those upset, angry, critical feelings are an opportunity to recognize change is needed in some way. Take some time to appreciate them and then figure out which direction or mindset change is required.

Good luck my friend.

Hey coach, i know you are trying to do all you can to take care of us, by "us" i mean students.

Only a few people are that kind of people that worry and want to give pieces of themselves to help others in many ways like you do, but know that we are all responsible for our own future and what i am trying to say is that you dont have to carry the burden for all of us.

I know that this does not solve your problem but i hope it can help you, what ever you decide to do, dont feel like you are failing on anyone because you dont, you already gave much more that most of them would.

Take a few steps back, stani na loptu i odigraj kontra napad ;)

I agree. You really do everything for us. You are doing amazing job in all areas of your life and also push others to succeed. But you are not machine. And even machines are not unbreakable. They need service time to time. So maybe your time for do something for yourself came. And please don't feel like you are letting someone down if you are putting time in yourself.
Take your rope a dope.

Guys really appreciate your support!
I am super short on time so I can't respond to each one of you individually but know that I appreciate your support a lot.

Yesterday I was considering to take a day off. I went to bed at 4:30am and woke up at 8:30am (standard). 4 hours of sleep. I taught that my energy would be super low and that I would not be able to do anything. Turns out that my energy was good, I felt tired around 1:30-2am.

As far as solution goes, I have spoken to my family and it is good to remind myself that I always have a back up plan if things go wrong with huge variance.

One thing I can tell you all right now is that I plan on extending my CG adventure for at least 30 more days. I am also planing to stay here 30 more days in Gevgelija. I fell that this isolation helps me a lot in my focused study, there is literally very little to no down time compared to Nis where I would go for coffee with my best friend and stay there 2-3 hours while studying 1 hour!
A lot of other things are great here like food and opportunity to work out (swim + gym) and I feel that will help me drop down from 87.7kgs down to 82kg where I was before new years and all the partying.

Finally I fell very committed to both myself and people I work with. When I work I don't have a auto pilot mode in terms of just doing it for the sake of doing it. Every grind session I focus on learning something new, paying attention to new details, applying new concept to improve. Same goes with coaching sessions, I want my students to always feel and know that I have their back. After all this is what is one of the main qualities of true leader and I always aim to lead not to follow.

Thank you one again for all your support, I will be updating about tilt problem frequently in future when it occurs again.
