Not sure but i think the turn might be a check back and then decide on the river. What hands in his range does he have that you are valubetting against on the turn?

valuebetting against any broadways that do not include QT and any 2 pair below mine and TPLK

also folding against any raise so valuebet /folding

Hi Freddo993,

You are right, though the Kd isn't a great card to pop up on the turn, it would be bad to check behind here - we shouldn't allow villain a free card on such a draw heavy board. Personally, I would check/call the turn vs random unknown at NL2 as I think they could be check-jamming weaker A's with a diamond draw or AQ/AT. You only lose to AA, KK, JJ, AK, and QT, all of which are likely to continue betting the turn. I played some NL2 in December, and, although you will see a lot of strangely played hands that it would be hard to put villain on, I think this is too tight a fold at a limit where your opponents are typically going to be massively overplaying (paying) a lot of their hands.

Good to see better bet sizing in this hand (saw another post where you were v-betting to small.)
Turn auto top-up on!

Perhaps villains at nl2 have a wide range Calling 3b? Its Mp vs CO so I would sa that he have (should have) a range that hits this board well. the only hand i can se that you are getting called with that are worse than yours is AQ. Does he really call turn with a pair + gutshot in a 3b pot mp vs co? In that case i agree with the valuebet. But i think that checking back turn and betting river if he checks will increase your chance of getting called by a wider range.

This was incorrect in my original post as of course you have the betting lead. I now think it is closer between calling and folding to villains x/r, however, based on my experiences of NL2, I would still call.

@jonny - I get your thinking, mate, but still think that checking back the turn is almost criminal. Consider, villain is not playing full stack, villain min-opened from MP, this is NL2 ... I think that villains possible hand range is a lot wider then you are imagining.

I have no experience of nl2. I missed the minrasie which makes a big diff and i belive you that his range is probably a lot wider than i am imagining :) Agree with the bet ott

thanks :f_tongue:

I tried to adjust my bet sizes

anyway I'm still struggling with these cbet/fold situations and I agree with those strange plays you see at this limit

Hi Fredo,

Tough spot here because on one hand villain reps nutty hands but on the other hand we are in a 3-bet pot and he doens't need to fast play big hands so at least some will not be raised.

So with 2p in a 3-bet pot I don't think we can fold without info.
