Hey guys,

Alongside the Red Line Rampage series there will be 5 live Gold coaching sessions which will be used to respond to homeworks and solidify some of the concepts discussed in the series.

Status: Gold

3rd Feb - 7.30pm CET - Red Line Rampage - Question Time w34z3l answers your questions regarding the red-line rampage series, so come prepared with awkward and difficult questions! Time will also be spent reviewing the submitted homework and asking for feedback from listeners. How can hero improve? Are their assumptions about themselves accurate?

10th Feb - 7.30pm CET Database Analysis Live - With your help w34z3l will be finding leaks within a database submitted by a pokerstrategy.com user. We will also consider some additional filters that are not covered in the series. Have an interesting HM2 filter we can use for analysis? Come with it to the session and we'll try it out!

17th Feb - 7.30pm CET w34z3l's Quiz Night- Come and test your theoretical knowledge and understanding of the concepts discussed in the Red Line Rampage series in this interactive quiz. Answers will be discussed during the quiz, and any additional questions you have will be answered.

24th Feb - 7.30pm CET HH Rampage - Post hands for analysis in the thread. Ideally these should be situations related to the concepts discussed in the series. Feedback from listeners will be encouraged

3rd March - 7.30pm CET Advanced PT4 - w34z3l outlines how to configure PT4 for use alongside the Red Line Rampage series. Some more advanced filters will also be considered. Suggestions from experienced PT4 users are highly welcome!

Thanks guys, looking forward to it,
w34z3l

Hey guys,

Thanks all for attending the first of the live coachings!

As mentioned the homework for the first coaching is to post your favourite HM2 filter, or favourite method of analysis for finding leaks. There will be a prize for my favourite!

4bet pot vs good reg
24/19/5.9 with a 4bet of 2/3 an AGG of 2.0, this player is a solid reg

So this is a hand that i would not call a 4bet with vs a unknown or a fish (i usually don't call 4bets that often) but against this guy i know that he will 4bet bluff me agressively in this spot (my 3bet BTN vs CO is 13.9), planning on floating the flop very wide and bet the turn if he x to me, what do you think of this line? Also what do you think of my betsizing on the turn? I thought about overbeting but i didn't felt i needed to go that strong to take me him out of a GS or something like that, and i also didn't want to risk that much money just in case he was trying to x/r me.

Cheers

Preflop is standard.
Now on the flop do you think this is a cbet? If i can remember well i didn't cbet this hand because i as playing a big hand on other table and i timed out, but i would like to know your opinion anyway.
On the turn it was the same thing i should have cbet but i timed out again, i definitly think that i would take down the pot here with a bet.
Now on the river the guy bets almost pot here, but given the action i don't actually think he is betting for value if he had a K or a club draw he would have probably bet before the river, so i think that in this case he might have something like a J or maybe AQ, and i might be able to blow him off those hands with a raise on the river taking advantage of the fact that microstakes player don't usually raise the river without the nuts, right? I acctually don't think that i can represent the K or the club given the action but i've seen very few players capable of hand reading well at 16NL and that's why i decided to raise him anyway. Is this good or i just got lucky?

Cheers

The 2nd part is about a similar topic, when to defend, when to let go the hand.

~~~~~~~ Hand 1
PokerStars - $0.02 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4
BTN: 125 BB (VPIP: 25.93, PFR: 18.52, 3Bet Preflop: 6.67, Hands: 30)
CO: 120 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 1)
Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♣ K♦
fold, fold, CO raises to 3 BB, BTN calls 3 BB, Hero raises to 13 BB, fold, CO calls 10 BB, BTN calls 10 BB
Flop: (40 BB, 3 players) K♠ 9♥ 4♠
Hero checks, CO checks, BTN checks
Turn: (40 BB, 3 players) 6♣
Hero bets 14 BB, CO calls 14 BB, fold
River: (68 BB, 2 players) K♣
Hero bets 22 BB, CO raises to 44 BB, Hero calls 22 BB
Spoiler
CO shows A♥ A♦ (Two Pair, Aces and Kings) (Pre 87%, Flop 80%, Turn 89%)
Hero shows J♣ K♦ (Three of a Kind, Kings) (Pre 13%, Flop 20%, Turn 11%)
Hero wins 150.5 BB
Preflop: I squeeze as a bluff, CO is unknown, BTN seems like a normal reg. He had 1/1 fold to 3bet.
Flop: I flop TP, but I see at the very most one street of value. So I decide to check, to maybe get hero called by QQ/JJ on a later street,
Turn: I bet really small, to get called by QQ/JJ and protect versus AQ/AJ.
River: FD missed, K paired, so I bet very small, people might hero call QQ/JJ again, since me having a K is less likely now. I get minraised, but given the price I don't fold.
Hero ???
So preflop i usually SQZ the most of my offsuit broadways from the blinds.
Assuming that villain calls the SQZ with a range like this, QQ-TT,AdAh,AhAs,AsAc,KdKh,KhKs,KsKc,AQs-AJs,KQs,AdKd,AhKh,AQo,AdKh,AdKs,AdKc,AsKd,AcKd, we have only 27% equity so we should x/f on the flop?
Do you think it is possible to blow him off hands like AK? If played as i did should i go for 3barrels or save myself the rest of the money?
Questions are about bet sizes on each street and i would like to hear things about his calling range during each street.
