13th Week challenge (Tuesday) - DAY 88

- 2,5/14 studying hours completed
- 60/224 tournaments completed
- 0 session with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 2/20 hands analyzed

Didnt complete 2h of studying today, talked with coach on skype for one hour, studied only in the morning.
Today played 27 tournaments, had some bad moves since i played one 3,5h session and my focus faded a bit in last hour.
I will test to see is it better for me to play one 4h session or 2 x 2h, i have all the time in the world to find that out :f_biggrin:
Anyway, last 2 days were a reversal for what is coming up for next one-one and half year. Need to keep this volume and even increase it if i want to make it as pro.

Going to write tomorrow about new goals for April.

To study on Wednesday:
- ICM trainer sessions
- Memorize ranges
- Analyze at least three hands
- Session with Jernej

New goals are set for next month and longer period but lets take step by step.

I started with much serious approach to poker, now grinding is must do 4h each day and 2h of studying.

Things that i will complete in next month are:

April
- 1000 SNG`s
- 4 coaching sessions
- 60 hours of studying
- Listen and take notes on audiobook The Mental Game of Poker 2

Those are raw goals that i am going to complete.

Going to update later today with overview on March and some more details on April goals.

Btw. my gf find poker interested so she is going to start to play too on micros like me, she learned a lot and fast when watching me playing since she is the one who i am explaining my thinking process out loud when grinding one session of 2h. She is really big support to me and it would be great that at the end we have the same job and compete at the tables :f_biggrin:

Updating for yesterday!

13th Week challenge (Wednesday) - DAY 89

- 2,5/14 studying hours completed
- 88/224 tournaments completed
- 0 session with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 3/20 hands analyzed

Yesterday i had 10h work shift, came home took shower, ate dinner and straight to grind.
Didnt had session with Jernej, played 28 tournaments and i i was little tilting due to some bad variance, running on top of the range all the time which resulted ofc. with some bad moves.
I dont do so much mistakes now when i tilt since more things are being learned to unconscious competence so it does not matter am i on tilt or not when i automatically play in some situation. There is not much things learned to that level but it getting better :)

I studied HU and bubble charts, did some ICM trainer sessions, didnt do those for a while now, grinding is ok but im short on studying time.

Great start in the new deal Darko. Keep up the good work, very soon it will pay off financially with moving to higher limit - as soon as you fix your HU game plan!

13th Week challenge (Sunday) - DAY 93

- 10/14 studying hours completed
- 236/224 tournaments completed
- 0 session with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 8/20 hands analyzed

So, after long time my games played results are ok and did more then i have set for 7 days.
But i lack on studying this week, but its not due to my laziness but because i have 8,5h over time at my ft job so i will use those to get of work sooner next week and spend more time studying HU game plan and game plan in general.
Didnt do session with coach but we will arrange one tomorrow if he have time.

Today was another fun day in poker, played 55 games, finished on studying on HU videos that i had, now i need to implement that things in my game and when i do that my ROI should go up for at least 5% by the end of the next week since now is around 4% but that is nothing for this micro limits and fishes that play there. I think it should be around 15% here on 1,5$ BI.

Tomorrow i dont work so will have whole day to play more tournaments and study.

To study on Monday:
- ICM trainer sessions
- Memorize ranges
- Analyze one hand

Finally completing volume goals - congrats !
Don't set ROI goals yet, set studying and volume goals instead. You can't count on huge ROI increases on low sample of games + variance is poker is just every day thing.
It would be more important that you know by memory everything about your HU game plan within 1 month from now for example and start using it greatly with auto pilot vs getting good run of results or increasing ROI. 1st thing will make sure you know what you are doing whenever you are in HU and 2nd thing is heavily variance dependent.

Keep up the great work and see you tomorrow 6:30pm!

Today was really bad grinding wise, i got all kinds of setups and suckouts, after which i tilted some and made bad moves so my EV line was negative too at the end of the day.

Was studying video that coach made for us regarding studying hands and tendencies of opponents, starting to use it daily.

Didnt have session with coach, we rearranged it for tomorrow.

Hope i will be able to get off earlier tomorrow from job so i can put more hours in poker.

- 3/14 studying hours completed
- 66/224 tournaments completed
- 1 session with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed

So, today i had session with coach. Every time i learn so much just from one session, its really cool working with Peđa as we always know that he got our back and work in our best interest in any given moment.
I am now working on my HU game as there is so much money that i am loosing every day its insane.

Grinding was ok, i though im going to run above EV but that aint gonna happen :f_biggrin:

To study on Wednesday:
- ICM trainer sessions
- Memorize ranges
- Analyze one hand
- Work on HU game

14th Week challenge (Wednesday) - DAY 96

- 4/14 studying hours completed
- 100/224 tournaments completed
- 1 session with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 8/20 hands reviewed

Updating for yesterday, i felt really bad so i did the job with grinding and went to bed.
Im really unhappy with my ft job and it would be really really great if i find some other any time soon on what i am working on.
But wont let that distract me in reaching my poker goals!
Didnt use any over on from ft job this week as i wanted so study and hand analyzing is again falling behind but i have an idea how to deal with it.
I will adjust my time management in a way to play in the morning before job 07-8:30h and then after ft job, study and do one more grind session.
I think it will work best for me at this moment.
Btw. i must say that i really like new deal with coach as i am now putting more effort and trying even more.

Great start and I definitely agree that new deal has motivated you even more to focus on important things.
Grind has been going steady, your hand posting and evaluation is improving a lot also and on top of that your HU is improving as well.
So I think April will probably be the best month yet for you if we consider that you will finally have a grind steady month + continue with your hand evaluations and improve your game plan.

Keep up the great work!

Hello all!
Sorry for my absence, i have worked almost whole day Friday and for the weekend i went with my gf at her home town at parents house so i didnt have really much free time, lets consider this a 3 days off, even i should not take that much but thats the way it went.

Today i had 10h shift at work, tomorrow i will work only 4 or 5h so i will have full focus on poker for the rest of the day and after continuing with no distractions by the end of the April.
Didnt grind today but i did work on my HU game plan and will continue on session with coach tomorrow.

Played 347 tournaments in 13 days that have passed in April, should play around 400 by now but i will easily complete 900 but will try to hit 1000, i dint want to rush but i think i can make 1k.

So, plan for tomorrow is:

Wake up at 07h, grind 07-8:30
Work 09-13/14h
Get home, take a shower, eat
Session with coach 15-16h
Grind 16-19h
Rest 1h
Study 20-22h
Update blog

You did great Darko in past 14 weeks, it is perfectly fine to take some days off recharge and regenerate. It will hopefully help you come back to poker with even more energy and enthusiasm to study grind and crush!
I was happy to hear you say that you missed studying for those 3 days. This is what happens when you build strong habits from beginning and you are the living prof of it. I am absolutely sure that you will become SNG professional player and make a great living from poker. Keep up with the most important habits and reflect on your goals daily - those things are the key to keep you focused on what matters and to keep delivering 100%+ of your efforts.

Look forward to our session tomorrow, 4pm if that works for you (lunch with friends scheduled at 2pm, will be back by 3:30ish or so).

GL Darko, I am always drawn to people who work hard. You have a full time job too I don't know how you do it. For me after work I just want to crash.
