what do u plan doing after ur challenge?
I often thought about going allin on Poker after my master degree in computer science ( 6month to go ) but from everywhere i hear the markets is getting worse and worse. I dont even know if its worth to put in the time since i wud ve to start from scratch. I was playing up to nl200 6max and nl400hu ( 3 years ago ) but i wouldnt call myself a good player atm.
i would really like to make six figures like u in half a year but what will the situation be like in 3 years from now?
@Naems: I definetely wouldn't go all in in poker unless I knew I could beat NL400-NL600 pretty soon. Especially with a masters degree. Imo pursue your carreer and have poker as a profitable hobby on the side and see how that goes for a while.

I have also asked Chappolini, Lion and goosecore about their opinion and basically everyone told me to stay with my masters degree. Sometimes u have to be rational and kill ur darlings.
I will concentrate now on other aspects in life than poker.
I would still like to know what ur path of choice is after finishing ur challenge.

@Naems: Well thats definetely not what I said hehe...I said play poker as a hobby. It's like having your cake and eating it. You can earn some additional income from poker - which is awesome and if it goes really really well for you, you can always transition to being a pro. If it doesn't than you still enjoy your hobby and have a real job to feed the family.
After my challenge I will work on my HU game so that I can take shots at NL1k regs. Probably, not sure. In any case nothing much is gonna change, still gonna be playing poker

Yeah thy m8, but i don't really enjoy Poker as a Hobby. Would be either for money or not play at all
which i guess isn't the right starting motivation anyway 
the all grind 2k to 10k nl but Lion who's even on the 40k plo games
i enjoy watching those records as well. I was pro player on AoT but community was so small ( like 2k people online at the same time max ). Chappolini casted some games
i was the FireFox guy. Back then i did wish AoT would become as popular known as wc III TFT but never happened.
Do u also watch sc II replays or LoL games?
I have a question: do you use GTO? Do you think it's all that important to have a predefined GTO plan if you understand the concept of GTO, but you don't really like it because it's basically a break-even game plan versus balanced regs?

It's never b/e unless both players play perfectly (which is impossible). GTO is the way to go, and once you made a game plan that tends towards GTO for a couple situations, you also know how to deviate from it versus regs that have holes in their games. It takes time and effort, but you won't get anywhere in poker without those qualities anyways.

Yeh I think I would definetely play poker as a profitable hobby if I didn't decide to play for a living. I did work and play for a year btw.
@alphavillain: I think you would be beating highstakes at 10-15bb/100 if you played perfect GTO. Most people assume playing GTO is playing 'standard'. Reality is if you start learning GTO, you will feel like you are exploiting everyone because your strategy will be so different from 'standard'. Basically what WillyD said - even if you don't play GTO, you basically can't play exploititively without it.
My guess is that in 2018 your question would sound something like "Do i need to know how to use a computer in order to get an office job?" That said I am just now starting to understand what GTO means, and I reached NL400 without even hearing about GTO.
Thanks for the support AlphaVillain. Unfortunately I lost that game. My opponent played quite well and I am also very satisfied with how i played! However, with the way the cards were dealt, I don't think I had any chance of winning to be honest. Good luck to Lacko in the next rounds!
Days 121 - 124
The same day I played Lacko HU and lost, I actually had the craziest day of my poker career!
I was winning $4k at the NL1k tables and then I join a NL5k game and after only 10 hands stack the fish for 100bbs. The game breaks and I go back to playing NL1k. So at this point I'm up $9k and am very pleased with myself as you can imagine. I may have actually gone over the $100k mark, if not then I was very close for sure.
Unfortunately, during the next 45 minutes, I drop 7 buyings one by one on the NL1k tables. 
That was so sick, I was just losing all the all ins, while putting my money in +EV. I actually called it a day at this points even though I was still up around $2k for the day. The whole variance just made me wanna throw up, I don't know how the hell you can stay composed in the face of such sick swings.
Bigger bankroll and just getting used to it I guess.
