18th Week challenge (Thursday&Friday) - DAY 125/126

- 7/14 studying hours completed
- 60/224 tournaments completed
- 1 session with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 1/7 hands analyzed

So, im not so proud to say im falling behind this week, falling behind pretty good.

Mostly because my transfer from PT to HM and my brother came on Friday i only grinded that day.
He is staying until Sunday around 5pm when he is leaving and i am getting back to work.
On the other hand i was spending very little time with my gf these days so she will demand to spent some time with her on Sunday too, i feel like i will have to duplicate myself and be on two places at the same time.

I will need to work my ass off next week since i dont want to fail hard on my weekly challenge.

- 8/14 studying hours completed
- 87/224 tournaments completed
- 1 session with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 1/7 hands analyzed

Today i was with my brother until i went with him on a bus. I was really fun weekend and i miss my friends and family. I didnt see any of them for over a year now since i moved to Croatia.
I dont have too much friends here and even less a good ones so i wish we can meet more often but thats not possible because we both work and not in the same city. I hope that will change when i turn ft to poker and maybe some days i can go to him and hang out.

Today i played usual grind session, studied for about one hour only.

Tomorrow is a new week and i need to work really hard in next period.

Only 20 more days until i finish with my ft job and i cant wait for it.

You forgot your daily updates again. I am following yours and your coach blog. So would be glad to see you're back to your daily updates. When you quit your full-time job you'd have more free time, so I hope you'll be updating more often.
Cheers.

Sorry all for missed updates, back to work :f_grin:

Last few days i was really exhausted.

Its like motivation went down too, i can see now how it can change in different stages of carrier.

Maybe it is related to knowing that soon im going to quit my job and try with ft poker that i look forward so much!

Its not just that im going to do whole day what i love but i will quit job that i currently hate, even if i didnt had plan to give it a go with poker i would still be very happy that im quitting my job and finding some other.

Lately i was working on reviewing hands in HM to find out how much variance is effecting my game and win rate, and its not that much.
I advise all who thinks that he have some bad run to just go trough filter like preflop all in, lost hand. I found some coolers, bad beats etc. but i also found lots of spots where i did -EV plays.

Here are the numbers for this week:

18th Week challenge (T/W/T/F/S) - DAY 130/131/132/133/134

- 9/14 studying hours completed
- 129/224 tournaments completed
- 1 sessions with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 2/7 hands analyzed

And report for this month so far:

18th Week challenge (Sunday) - DAY 136

- 11/14 studying hours completed
- 159/224 tournaments completed
- 1 sessions with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 2/7 hands analyzed

Didnt complete all for this weeks challenge but im starting to grind more steadily in terms of quality of my game, i can maintain longer my A or B game and im getting used to high variance influence short terms.

Still lacking studying hours over working days.

19th Week challenge (Monday) - DAY 137

- 2/14 studying hours completed
- 26/224 tournaments completed
- 0 sessions with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 0/7 hands analyzed

Today i studied in the morning like i said i will try and grind after work.
I did like that, in the morning i finished reviewing VPIP hands from different positions and folded hands too.
Im happy that i didnt find much leaks in that area but still need to improve a lot on pre flop all ins, calling all inst etc.

Grinding was fun today, my focus was a little off but i managed to keep my B game and ended up running above EV, that didnt happen in a while :f_biggrin:

In wednesday im getting new chair that will be far more comfortable than the one i have now for sitting several hours.

Have fun this week! :f_drink:

19th Week challenge (Tuesday) - DAY 138

- 1/14 studying hours completed
- 40/224 tournaments completed
- 0 sessions with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 1/7 hands analyzed

Yesterday i took notes from webinar video where we did detailed analysis on one hand. Also continued to use filters to spot leaks and see on which part of my game i need to work on the most.

Played less tournaments then expected, i was tilting a little since first 4 tables i played i busted all 4 on bubble, and when that happens first im mad on variance when i loose to a worst hand and when i cool down im mad at myself because im not playing on level i want to and should by now.

Now going to work on HU home work that i got from coach.

Have fun!

19th Week challenge (Wednesday) - DAY 139

- 3/14 studying hours completed
- 62/224 tournaments completed
- 0 sessions with my dai-sensei _biggrin: completed
- 1/7 hands analyzed

Yesterday i did my some work on HU game, still need to work A LOT on that area to increase my ROI and after 1st of June that will my number one goal regarding studying.

And i grinded 22 tournaments, it was one of those days when i couldnt pass bubble
There was my bad plays and some suck outs ofc. - like opponent raise calling for 10bb with 25o vs my AQo and ofc. that flop is 25x :f_thumbsup:

Anyways, there is only 8 more days until i quit my ft job so i expect from myself really hard work in poker, i have no side incomes or parents, uncle and so on to back me up financially except of the money i saved. So i see no better motivation to step on the gas and make 100% difference in learning and grinding.

Great progress so far, I am very happy with how far you have already went from 0.
Future period from June when you will have all day just for poker will show how well you can handle swings and prioritize studying and improvement always over anything else. My hope is that you will not fall into trap like many people I worked in the past who just use their time to grind and don't dedicate nowhere enough for studying. Getting to know you in this period so far, I can say that you see very motivated and seek to improve and work hard. Again, look forward to our future period, a lot of important things will come on top and I hope you will manage to fight all the variance and temptations in your poker career.

19&20th Week challenge - DAY 140-150

Hello all!

Sorry for my absence in last week and more, its just i had so many things to do regarding my job since i had to finish all the things and make them right so when i quit i dont leave any problems for my colleague that i had to take trought rush course because he is taking my place, i feel sorry for him :f_biggrin:

Anyway, here is it finaly. The moment i waited for long time, time to give my best in order to prove that i can make a living out of this thing :f_cool:

Today i had some job to do, to end my working deal, make some final things at work and its done. I came home far too late today then i expected so i didnt manage to start with my new time management that looks like this:

- 7:30am Wake up
- 07:30-9am breakfast, work out
- 09-11am grind
- 11am-1pm working on game, analyzing hands
- 1-2pm rest (lunch, relaxing)
- 2-3pm grind
- 3-5pm eat, time with gf
- 5-6pm working on game
- 6-7pm grind
- 7pm and on - update blog, webinars, sessions with coach etc.

Ofc. this is the minimum of activities that i plan to do, without any exaggerating, it will be more but this is a must do each and every single day.
I think that this will be most efficient way to make me advance as a player. It is set to make 3,5-4h of grind (since i need to make a serous grind habbit to increase volume) and 3-3,5 hours of quiality studying. I can easily make changes if i need to or if i find that i can make even more if i change some timings. I think this is the best time to work on summer because of the weather, its so hot outside during the day that it makes no sense to take few hours off during the day and continue in the evening when i can go out for a walk when it cools of a bit.

So, im updating regulary again, have no excuses to show inactivity now. Expect some interesting updates! :f_wink:

See you all tomorrow!

21st Week challenge (Tuesday) - DAY 151

I decided to switch to montly goals and updating them rather then weekly.

So, minimum monthly goals are:

900 tournametns played
90 hours of studying
90 hands posted for review on our private coaching forum
4 sessions with coach

Current status:

38/900 tournametns played
5/90 hours of studying
0/4 sessions with coach
2/90 hands posted for review on our private coaching forum

Today i had first day to use and test my time management, i already made some corrections like doing 2 grind sessions of 2h and not 1x 2h and 2 x1h.
When i do 2x2h sessions i save time because of tables i need to finish when ending session, its not like cash so i can just leave room and end session.

I arranged time with friend Jernej to continue working together on our game from tomorrow, i have more flexible time now so we are going to be able to do more sessions from now on.

I analized one and just wrote thinking process on other hand and posted on our private forum for other guys to take a look at them and help me on those spots.

I am now mostly focusing on studying and memorizing shoving and calling ranges for shallow stacks.

Thinking about the way to get back in sport activities, i think ill look for some kickbox club thats not too far away and start training again to get back in physical shape.

Thats all for now, have a good night! :f_drink:

21st Week challenge (Wednesday) - DAY 152

- 62/900 tournametns played
- 9/90 hours of studying
- 0/4 sessions with coach
- 3/90 hands posted for review on our private coaching forum

Had session with Jernej and we discussed some things, how are we going to proceed with our future sessions and studying.

Worked on memorizing ranges, need to make it as soon as possible so i can go on 3,5$ and get away from these sickos on 1,5$ stakes :f_biggrin:

Grind was full of shitty things like running on top of the top of the ranges, suckouts and my mistakes too. So ill work harded tomorrow to prepare better before each session and make them better.

GL! :f_drink:

21st Week challenge (Thursday) - DAY 153

- 97/900 tournametns played
- 13/90 hours of studying
- 0/4 sessions with coach
- 5/90 hands posted for review on our private coaching forum

Good day, analized 2 hands and replyed on 2 more on our private forum and it really helps, to have all doubts cleared when you have a few ppl that will help with each spot.

Studied ranges, that one will take time not to just learn but to learn to the level of unconscious competence, but time i have and will learn them :)

Grind was little bumpy but at the end i managed to stay focused despite all the suckouts that happen all the time.

Now of to bed to learn ranges till midnight and then get sleep for tomorrow and learn again :)

21st Week challenge (Friday) - DAY 154

- 127/900 tournametns played
- 17/90 hours of studying
- 0/4 sessions with coach
- 5/90 hands posted for review on our private coaching forum

Another nice day, worked a lot on those ranges, just gonna repeat them and implement those things in game so i can increase win rate as soon as possible. I did good today and i feel that i can make a huge difference by the middle of the month regarding that area, its always fun to learn new stuff which will help me crush the game :)

Gind was good but every day i see so much retarded stuff on this micro limits that it really test my self control. At least ill be prepared when i go to higher limits and see that kind of stuff but i wont see it that oftern for sure. Ofc. there will be better opponents but i plan to get better too and beat them, so better competition traded for less variance is good with me.

And its Friday! Have a great weekend!!! :f_biggrin::f_drink:

21st Week challenge (Saturday) - DAY 155

- 158/900 tournametns played
- 20/90 hours of studying
- 0/4 sessions with coach
- 7/60 hands posted for review on our private coaching forum

Reduced hands analized goal to 60 because my priority now is memorizing ranges so 2 hands per day to analyze is enough for now.

Had nice last 2 days grinding depite all the suckouts i encounter on this limits i just need to fight against that and keep calm in sessions, it will made my mindset stronger i think when i see so many wicked things happening at the table every session.

I have learned 10 and 9bb shoving and calling ranges pretty well but i cant just yet shoot them out of sleeve like i need to.
But with daily repeating it will be easy at one point to be able to use them very fast when i found my self in such situation.

Wish you a good Sunday! :f_biggrin:
