My internet provider messed me up today, but fortunately I've managed to snag a couple of hands. Session started kinda bad, but lady luck still at my side It seems. Or maybe it's just time to say goodbye to NL2 pretty soon?

Today
Hands: 1,420
Profit: +$7.10

Overall
Hands: 11,539
Profit: +$27.81

Not much to report from Saturday, playing just a few couple hundred hands in a very low volume because I was feeling a little bit under the weather. So took another day off.

So I got super ill, but now back on track. After the long time off, stepped to read a bit and set my comfort zone, as I wasn't feeling 100% yesterday yet. Still, profits are coming up.

Yesterday:
Hands: 500
Profit: +$2.82

June Goals
- Keep running 5k everyday
- Getting back to gym for just one month of weight training
- Play at least 4 hours every day (If studying 1 hour, could be diminished to 3).

Will lose a little bit of volume in the next couple of days as I'll be grinding a Silver status here at PokerStrategy.

Hardly had time to update guys, some good live games appeared in this weekend here so I'm sorry for that.

Happy to announce though that I've made a big win during those, actually netting myself a couple thousand BRL (R$), making it close to $1,2k in USD. :f_rolleyes:

Overall
Hands: 23,321
Profit: +$31.19

Taking some shots at NL5 by the way. Hopefully lady variance will give me some good signs, so far running 8 BI below $EV.

Still cool, let's see if one of these NL5 shots do me good.

After a big stretch breaking even, time to go a little bit up again. Now I'm taking shots at NL5 on one of the 8 sets I put up during the day, if things go good it's bye bye NL2.

Just a little image to show how big the strech was:

Overall
Hands: 26,745
Profit: +$40.45

So this Friday it was Valentine's day, and guess what? The girl I'm hopelessly in love actually ask me what I was doing that day. So yeah... The hell with poker this weekend and added a little bit of Life +EV in the equation.

Had a hard time updating things here, but haven't stopped playing daily though, just in a minor volume than I wanted it. Today things are back to normal, and here is the update:

Update
Hands: 29,745
Profit: +$55.14

Still mixing a bit of NL5, but even though I'm in the black at that limit, most of the profits still coming from NL2, since the biggest part of volume is coming from there. It's important to recall that yeah I did start with only 2,5 BI at NL2, but once moving up, I'll be a little bit more conservative. Even though I'm taking shots at NL5 (mostly because I'm comfortable with my game), I know how swings can go at poker.

Yeah, now sitting with 30BI at NL2 I'd say the danger of getting busto is long gone. Now the next fear is staying stuck at micro hell, though I'm always trying to stay active at hand evaluation forums, even if just for reading opinions on hands from other players. Also trying to keep watching videos, and reviewing my own game daily to find leaks, even if minor ones.

Hopefully I'll reach the $1,5k in no time. I actually dreamed this the other day, because turing $5 into $1,5k has to be a good story to motivate the poker community, especially those who believe it is impossible to leave the micros. And more than the cash involved, since this is mainly motivated by a prop bet with some friends, it hopefully will show that yes, it is indeed possible to have fun at NL50.

Right now 90% of my volume is coming from Zoom tables, four at a time. Although when I'm feeling the pool is just too nitty I'd switch to 6-12 tabling regular cash games. In terms of bb/100 although sample is pretty low imho this is how it goes:

Zoom: ~26k hands at 8.31 bb/100
Regular: ~3k hands at 12.49 bb/100

Regular tables of course have the advantage of table selecting, but I feel like my game deteriorates a bit when I have to stop and take notes, and I rather have more time to make notes on whom I'm playing against than actually making big volume.

Will try to keep daily updates during this week, and who knows, maybe next week we'll be talking about the tales of having fun at NL5. Pretty long blog post, so I'm thankful if you took time of reading everything. :f_tongue:

Just a quick update to let you guys know that I'm now feeling officially at NL5. Haven't got so far too bad of swings, and I'll be only playing NL2 if I fall below $50, a little risky yeah, but YOLO right?

Will be posting the Overall report only at the weekends, so I don't keep checking stats, bankroll and what not.

Sadly haven't had much time to stop and post hands here. But safe to say things are running good for me the past couple of days, feeling good playing at NL5 and getting actually close to having 25BI at this limit as well, don't want to jynx it, but so far the shot has been going good.

Overall
Hands: 38,543
Profit: +$93.91

Almost 20 times my original 5. Goal is still the 300x :f_p:
