I feel that this is key month to me and my poker carrier, i need to continue with new and better time management + to put more effort and give my best and i think my best will be enough to make it.

Currently i have problem with downswings, running below EV and the main thing i tilt about the most is not the money but injustice tilt, it gets to me when i loose like 5 times in a row with better hand, which is normal thing, but when i last for few days it affect my mind set and i start to make it easier bad things to happen, to run even worse etc.

Last weekend i was lets call it on vacation and past few days i lost some time on some things less important then poker, so i will need to face the fact that if i dont isolate my self from all and put like 100000% i wont make it and will have to quit this eventually, im not just writing this now and when i close this browser i will just forget about it, i mean it and i know i will be facing very difficult decisions if i dont do what i need to.

I fixed my time management with i was unsatisfied, i feel good about new one and how i organize things, now i need to make them all and more, will need to simply crawl into a hole (study, grind and work) and stay there until i make it. It shouldnt be too hard for me to isolate, i dont have any plans or obligations for this month and i dont really have any good friends here or family to spend time with, only gf and she is giving me full support for what im doing and what i plan to do, so if i dont make it, its just because i didnt work hard enough.

Today i will do:

12-13h - Review HH (bubble from yesterday)
13-15h - Grind 1st session
15-16h - lunch, rest
16-18h - Grind 2nd session
18-19h - listen to MGOP2
19-19:30h - break
19:30-21:30 - Grind 3rd session
21:30-22h - Work on HU

Going to do updates always on the day after.

Big goals for July I like the way you are putting effort to this and soon results will follow up. 2100 tournaments are alot. Are you still grinding 4-6 tables? Anyway nice progress. Would you provide some graphs for June. And GL at the tables:f_drink:

Great blog Darko and nice to see you ploughing through all that shitting variance. I made the switch from 9man stt in Jan to 6 man stt and must say I've been enjoying the format. Went through a horrible patch of bad beats in November so had to drop back down to 1.50s. I'm a very recreational player so only manage about 30 tourneys a week but I'm almost back up to my target to hit the 3.50s so maybe see you at the tables in july

Yea, now is the time for big goals, no more slacking :f_biggrin:
Now, i am playing 6 and some times 7 tables, in order to complete 2100 tournaments, that would be around 6 hours of grinding per day.
Plus i need to make minimum 2-3 hours of studying.

Here is graph for June, 3,50$ and 1,50$ both:

3,50$

1,50$

Nice to see you here odin444 :f_thumbsup:
Yea, i like SNG too, only thing i could live without is variance in large amounts in this format. Thats why i will do switch to some other when i get to the level to crush mid stakes in some time in future :f_drink:

If you dont, in order to increase your ROI i advise you to do HH reviews, watch training videos, use forums to push your knowledge to another level.
I am 7 months in program with my coach and there is still so much things to learn :f_ugly:

Updating for these last few days i missed.

Didnt do poker related things, had some family problems that i needed to take care of, wasnt just some medium stress, i work with that kind every day but this threw me off the balance.

Was out of shape and out of focus to do any demanding stuff as grinding or quality studying.

I talked to my coach and he gave me permission to step off poker for as much as i need and solve the problems. So today im back and need to make up for lots of missed work.

First and really good thing is that now i will stick to 4-5 tables max, no more 7 or even 8. I expect only that to change my running bad around in my favor + i will organize my studying so i can make the most out of it.

Now with those problems solved partially at least for some time i expect this month to be really good for me in poker!

Todays schedule:
9:30-9:50h Study ICM ranges
9:50-10:30h Need to do some thing for my health insurance to continue
11-13:30h Grind 1st session
13:30-14:30h Study MGOP2
14:30-15:30h Review HH and post hands on forum
15:30-16:30h Rest, lunch
16:30-18:30 Grind 2nd session
18:30-19h Rest
19-21h Grind 3rd session

Yesterday i did little experiment on my grinding capabilities, to see how long i can maintain good focus, came to conclusion that i did really good for 1,5h next half hour it was little worse and when 2nd hour passed it drops rapidly.

So my longest sessions will be 2h tops.

Played 50 tournaments, did work on ICM and going to stick to it, there is so much things to learn and i have trainer that really tries to learn me everything and i am trying to learn everything so sometimes i get overloaded because i didnt make good study plan myself.

So coach helped me yesterday and now im focusing one spot and only when i fix big leaks there i will move to the next.

Becoming successful poker player is nowhere near easy even with all the hard work. It takes lots of experience and testing skills to see where are those biggest weak spots on player so he can fix them.

Todays plan:
9:30-11:30h 1st grind session
11:30-12:30h Hand posting on forum
12:30-13h Rest
13-14 HRC work
14-14:30h ICM ranges study
14:30-16h Spend some time with gf
16-17h Work out
17-18h Rest
18-20h 2nd grind session
20-20:30h Rest
20:30-22:30 3rd grind session

Will try to stick to this plan 100% since yesterday i didnt manage to do so.

Yesterday i did work on ICM and now tackling problems and leaks that i have in that area.

Played 55 tournaments, still getting used to higher volume, i do 6 hours of grinding each day and that is a lot compared to how much i did before :)

Today i played one session and reviewed HH from yesterday, and this is plan for the rest of the day:

17-19h Play 2nd session
19-20h Work on ICM spots
20-22h Play 3rd session

Hey all, sorry for slacking here on blog, was busy last few days with increased volume and with studying.

I did some nice work over those few days on ICM field and on increasing focus while grinding.

Have some nice steady results now for last 250 tournaments, after really bad run which is coming along with tilting more i had bad period and lost quite a few BI.
Now slowly coming back in track :)

Here is the graph:

Of course there could be a lot more profit in those 250 games, i still suck in post flop HU play and there are still leaks to be fixed.

Key is to keep working, keep my old good habits and make some good new ones.

And i want to continue updating regularly here to keep you guys posted and maybe help some one too :) And i want to update like i used to, with goals updating and current day.

Goals for this months are to play 1500 tournaments, which i dont thing i will manage to complete due to some variation i had in time management.
To do 90 hours of studying.
To do 4 sessions with coach.

28th Week challenge (Friday) - DAY 196

- 687/1500 tournaments played
- 55/90 hours of studying
- 1/4 sessions with coach

28th Week challenge (Sunday) - DAY 198
- 758/1500 tournaments played
- 58/90 hours of studying
- 1/4 sessions with coach

Played only 25 tournaments, today i plan to switch to full volume and study.

I had pretty steady grind and study volume but its not so easy to keep it up long enough to make it a habit. And thats what im going to do, make it a habit for me to play 6h/day and study 3h/day, its not going to be easy but certainly will pay off.

Will keep you posted! :f_drink:

Plan for today:

Played 15 tournaments, spent 30 min on memorizing ICM ranges that i didnt do in last few days, need to start doing that too again regularly.

12-1pm - Will talk to my cousin via skype, didnt talk to him in over a year :)
1-3hpm- Grind 2nd session
3-5pm - Launch, rest
5-7pm - Study
7-7:30pm - Rest
7:30-8:30pm - Study
8:30-10:30pm Grind 3rd session

28/29th Week challenge (Monday/Tuesday) - DAY 199/200
- 937/1500 tournaments played
- 61/90 hours of studying
- 1/4 sessions with coach

Now i have solid grind habit playing 60 tournaments with 5 and 6 tabling, but last few days i wasnt too active in studying.
At least good thing is that i noticed it, maybe its because of this little upswing that i have or something, i know that people tend after some upswing to study much less then they used to. Anyway, i need to get back to studying minimum 3 hours per day, quality studying that includes HH review, currently work on ICM in HRC and memorizing ranges and posting hands on private forum and discussing them.

Have session with coach later today and looking forward to it! :f_drink:

29th Week challenge (Wednesday/Thursday) - DAY 201/202
- 976/1500 tournaments played
- 64/90 hours of studying
- 1/4 sessions with coach

Just did session with coach, we rearranged it yesterday.

Since now im starting to get a steady grind habit i need to synchronize it with my study time and other things so i can be as much productive as possible.

Going to report to coach in details what i did and how it went and make more consideration to respecting my time management and follow it trough.
