Dabbling in a couple of MTTs and god is it tilting. I am about breakeven on them, no thanks to variance. But they are so tilting when you see fish sucking out and becoming chip leader! Then I can't come back sit on his left and take all them chips, thats the frustrating part haha.

But, we move on. Session Results:
- Hands Played: 352
- Profit: +$3.69

A below EV session but that is not what I am focusing on this week, plugging my leaks is and it is going much better.

Just finished 12th out of 1057 in a $1.10 - $750 guarenteed MTT. Great run in the tourney, picked up on chip leader raising UTG almost 100% to 2.5-3x. I have 12bb on btn with :Ax::Tx: and shove, snap call by 13bb in SB with A♦:K♥:, and UTG chip leader shows 7♦:5♦: ha. Hey well, gutted I couldn't finish higher.

Cash for $9.40 lol.

Played a combination of Spin n Go's and a very brief session before work of 5PLO and 10PLO.

Summary

- Hands Played: 60
- Profit: +$8.25
- Tournaments Played: 43
- Profit: +$11

Spins were stressful but I just ignored the run bad, it always evens out in the end so nothing to worry about. I only played 43 of them but I guess you just have to stay true to your game plan.

Had a killer session, ran well, played well or just ran in to some fish.

Session Results:
- Hands Played: 201
- Profit: +$50.00

I also played some MTT's but had no luck, lost 60/40's in 3/5 and got it in bad in 2 of them. Hey ho, they're stressful and I don't like them but I thought I would take a punt haha.

Bankroll Update: $317.34
So one hell of a good start to August! :f_cool:

I will do a more detailed post for this but in terms of poker I want to be playing 4-tables of 10PLO and not mixing between 5/10PLO consistently. This will mean getting my bankroll to somewhere around $400.

Increasing 3-bet % IP vs tight players who tend not to 4-bet and FFCB a high percentage of the time. I am a tight player myself but this is an aspect that I can definitely open up in my game.

Widen my game up, I am going to talk to a couple of players I trust and whom trust me to see if they will share their databases so I can compare our openings by position to get a grip on what opening my hand selection up looks like.

Had a real good session, peaked at $24 but took a bad beat near the end of my session in a 400bb pot which I have posted in the hand discussion thread. Here is the link. It was an interesting hand and it came out of me not deciding to 4-bet a weak AA5T purely for the stupid reason of avoiding big swings haha. In heinsight I should've just 4-bet the hand, something I will definitely do in the future as original 3-bettor in this hand is now classed as "moron".

I had a zoom session last night just getting in some VPP's which didn't go so well hence my bankroll going down slights. I can't remember how much I was down but it was around 2BI at 5PLO.

Been swinging like bad recently and Augusts good start has slowed, I am now down this month $10. I swung approximately 10BI below EV. Stepped down to 5PLO to cope with the swings but play was very difficult. House over house in spots where I didn't think a fold was possible. Top set turning house but turning in to quads you know. Standard coolers that just decided to occur a lot over the last 3k hands.

One issue I have with the results is not necesarilly my play for the session but how I went against my own rules; multitabling more than 4 tables - up to 9 at times through the session, I played for more than 1 hour stints. This was all because I was in the hole. I was not tilted but looking forward for the rest of the month I am not going to deviate from my plans purely because I am losing.

Back to work and grind it up.

If you want to see any of my beats here you go:

[*] 4-bet pot, villain x/raises all in with bottom pair and binks two pair to win vs my AAxx - Link

[*] Vs villain who 3-bets 25% I decided to turn AJJ8 in to a 4-bet bluff and villain flops the world, the play is standard but it was just how I was running. I pot flop to protect my hand against whatever he could've been calling with and he has me crushed.

Rather frustrating but I am moving on.

General Ramblings
In regards to poker goals for this month I have the video series core concepts of PLO to watch as well as more of Apo5tol's video series on crushing zoom. When the tables are dead (usually late on) I tend to play zoom, I have come to realise that my fold equity post flop is not as high in zoom on wet boards (particularly high boards) simply because everyone plays fairly tight so i am honing that in and not wasting c-bets. I am also 4-betting a higher percentage rather than flatting.

Just seeing how my game is comparing over the last few days to last month and the month befores play. My volume is certainly increased but I am noticing my game loosening up but in a more passive way. I think my 'run bad' is definitely there but I am also playing a lot of hands as if they were in a vacuum. Taking hand strength and ignoring position or potential action to take place when I flop bottom two pair on a wet board, I am likely never winning hands like that so I think this is costing me bb's. I will fix it however.
