Fave quote - Like i said to worm, you cant lose what you dont put in the middle. Then again - you cant win much either.

by far the best movie about poker. i ve watched it probably 50+ times, after the 10th i lost count. So many memorable quotes, nice jazz music sound track, matt damon + edwart norton + john malkovic...not cheesy, but deep. Great, great movie. One of my all time favorites.

Does anybody think that Mike folded the better hand in the Golf Club against that guy who seemed to spend the money for his daughter's ..riding course or something like that?

No i dont think he had it. He said to worm he didnt have it but worm was implying he should have taken the pot by rebluffing methinks.

rly? why?
I've watched about any movie that has the word poker or gambling in his plot.
And apart that one, or maybe "Big hand for the little lady", I never liked any of them!

Never saw Deal, but i'll check it out. I agree rounders is awesome, but my favorite poker movie is "Highroller: the Stu Unger story". The Kid played poker like nobody else, shame he partied himself into an early grave, he might have been the first player to win the main event four times if he'd lived. You really should see it if you haven't.

I was referring to the possibility that he thought it wasnt moral to take this money...so he refused to make the rebluff to maintain some integrity.

I don't think it was about morality, I just think he wanted a certain spot to take the donks money, and he didn't think he had it there.

It's because they don't play FL in it :)

great film. just such a sad life. he had it all.

Isn't it amazing though, i have learnt a lot from his life.
Even though at the table he always made the right move, away from the table he was a fish at life... such bad desicions.

Rounders was a good film, Worms quote on woman and the rake was the best... i won't repeat it here though :)
