Non-PS members can even look in my blog so I rather want to have my nick hidden for some reasons like Ingol says in his coaching

''Welcome Gerv in our pleasant village called PokerStars! We welcome you with a 100 First Coming Bonus, the longer you stay, the earlier you get the bonus. Moreover we would like to warn you to get a machete and get to know the Jungle first before you come in and play with the Animals'' Good Luck and Enjoy your Stay

Ofcourse I played on NL25 Pokerstars on Thursday during the Coaching but my real day started on Friday with an incomplete database, I still got loads and loads to import! but as Elephant analyse my hands with 5 hands per second... it would take 1 000 000 / 5 = 200k seconds = ANS/60/60/25 = 2 days, 7 hours and 20 minutes non stop to import them all... >.<
I noticed that I played more hands in the same amount of time but I think I play 9 tabled right now but I can handle them ![]()
So I started at 20:20 and surprisingly, there were no 6+ Waitin lists?!??! holy crap! ♦ Stars is better than Party I hoped because More Tables, More Players, More Fishes. Telescope had to scan 137 tables and my known players was a dissapointing 63% but no worries, Everytime I got time I will import x thousand hands every single time.
I quickly lost 4bb + a Cbet with both AKo against rather loose players, apart from 1 mistake I made, I didnt know what to do on this donkbet, for reference see the Sample Board.
The first big hand was in my opinion, pretty standard although I question the shove but betting more than half of your stack and fold to a RRaise doesnot really make sense...
Known players:
[tg]Position_Stack:hands/vp$ip/RaisePreflop/AF/WTS/ORL/BBvsSteal/W$SD;CO$13,00:82/41 /7 /0,7/40 /20 /-/75 ;Hero$11,75:///////;[/tg]
0,25/0,5 No-Limit Hold'em (8 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.65 by www.pokerstrategy.com.
Preflop: Hero is BU with Q♣, Q♠
4 folds, CO raises to $1,50, Hero raises to $4,00, 2 folds, CO calls $2,50.
Flop: ($8,75) 2♣, A♦, J♣ (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $7,75 (All-In), CO calls $7,75.
Turn: ($24,25) K♣
River: ($24,25) J♦ (2 players)
Final Pot: $24,25
Results :
CO shows two pairs, aces and jacks (T:s A:h)
It went pretty downhill in x amount of hands in the first session, it didnt mattered to me since I had to get used to the software and BBV happen! I mean the % chance he has Aces against my QQ with a playing style of 41/25 is significant small
That's whats SSS about, you lose small tihih ^_^
The graph shows some parts of the 2nd session so I say I lost like 80bb in 547 hands in the First Session.
I shut down everything related to Poker and was about to relax myself for some TF2. Only one the Spy's biggest Enemy is being overpowered due the new patch. The Engineer can now upgrade their teleport for less cooldown and his dispenser gives more metal if beign upgraded.
Grrr I have to find new tactics for this as the sapper's damage is still the same =( however I had loads of fun since my friend played along I met through a Spy Tactics Community
The second session went significantly better than the first session! I used another table selection tool to find my way through the Jungle in need of Fat Fishes as I used to do during my time on PartyPoker.
Maybe it was because of the time since it was 23:45 CET when I started my session
My AKs held up against A8s due a Flushdraw I hit on the Turn.
An unknown UTG2 openraises 3bb and gets a coldcaller on CO, I reraise JJ on BTN to 20bb (3x3.5 = 10.5 = >50%).
Trip jacks and a paired board made me a happy person, playing against QQ makes you wonder that you were lucky..
Exactly 44 seconds later, my AKo failed to win against A6o when I openraise BTN 3bb and SB clickReRaises me with this trash, I hollywooded when I called time but I shoved after requesting time., he calls. A 6:c on the Flop and no King wanting to show up made me lost a 70/30 situation ![]()
However getting Kings on the same table I just doubled up with A:dK:d made me play very differently as I used to play:
Known players:
[tg]Position_Stack:hands/vp$ip/RaisePreflop/AF/WTS/ORL/BBvsSteal/W$SD;BB$30,00:14/29 /7 /1,0/100 /0 /0 /25 ;Hero$19,95:///////;[/tg]
0,25/0,5 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is BU with K♥, K♦
6 folds, Hero raises to $1,50, SB folds, BB raises to $2,50, Hero raises to $7,00, BB calls $4,50.
Flop: ($14,25) A♠, 2♦, 4♠ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.
*StickyNote*: I Didnt liked to cbet since Board is Dry and c/r is possible so a delayed c-bet is the best option in my opinion, moreover I was disgusted by the Ace high board and was about to shut down immediately
Turn: ($14,25) 4♣ (2 players)
BB bets $5,00, Hero calls $5,00.
*StickyNote*: Why does someone bets 1/3 Pot on a rainbow A high board? I think he wants to take a stab at the pot so I just called down what could be stupid since there is also a Fifth Street to come!
River: ($24,25) K♣ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7,95 (All-In), BB calls $7,95.
*StickyNote*: Triiiiip Kings!, He checks suprisingly but maybe expected since at that time I had the feeling *naw you dont got it*. Trip Kings made it for me possible to shove $8 into a $24 pot. moreover I Hollywooded again with requestin time etc. but I made the shove as it should.
Final Pot: $40,15
Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a full-house, kings full of fours (Kh Kd)
BB shows two pairs, queens and fours (Qh Qd)
ay! Long way to go but the start is good!
A long way up but managed to get a small profit which I am very satisfied with
I was exhausted after the session since I played till like 00:45 CET which is very unusual for me
Several double ups occurred during the second session as it was the Business as Usual for a SSS player, I see significantly less SSS players on the table that I play, I only saw a nitty german 6/5 of PS and that's it
Known players:
[tg]Position_Stack:hands/vp$ip/RaisePreflop/AF/WTS/ORL/BBvsSteal/W$SD;Hero$7,85:///////;CO$8,75:26/65 /4 /1,9/47 /0 /-/38 ;[/tg]
0,25/0,5 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is BB with Q♣, K♠
UTG1 folds, UTG2 raises to $1,00, 3 folds, CO calls $1,00, 2 folds, Hero calls $0,50.
*StickyNote*:Wasnt going to throw this away but with a 15bb stack, I should have though about shoving it instead..
Flop: ($3,25) T♠, A♣, J♦ (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG2 bets $2,00, CO raises to $4,00, Hero raises to $6,85 (All-In), UTG2 calls $4,85, CO raises to $7,75 (All-In), UTG2 calls $0,90.
Turn: ($25,60) J♣ -> 'DONT PAIR THE BOARD FFS >_<'
River: ($25,60) 7♦ (3 players)
Final Pot: $25,60
Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a straight, ace high (Qc Ks)
CO shows two pairs, aces and jacks (Th Ah)
UTG2 shows two pairs, jacks and tens (Td 9d)
Oh and the first 10,000 FPP are reserved for goodies in the Shop I like =)!! Tihihihi ![]()

Yes, Stars people love to check/call or check/raise their TP, sets, straights, flushes against short stackers. Pretty standard. So be ready to take those blows and don't go mad about this.
Good luck playing SSS at Stars ♦ Stars are the only site so far i can not make any profit playing SSS ♦ And i played a lot of hands there ♦ Last two sessions(last two days) i made -50$ lol playing NL25/50
Just sick. After o make those 1,1k FPP to get 240$ bonus i won't play SSS anymore there ♦
Ah Gerv, why didn't you tell me be4 that the elphant imports those hands so slowly
Importing 400.000 hands since yesterday evening 10 o'clock and it is still not done as we speak.
BTW: Nitty German is a pleonasm ♦
So today I replaced Ingol together with Xarry2 for the SSS Beginner Coaching on Sunday. I managed to lose -120bb there in 334 hands on NL25 ♦
However I did a session on NL50 afterwards and cashed in a nice 80bb.
A detailed post will be tomorrow as I am exhausted and would like to get some sleep. Stay tuned!
Gerv
[x] Welcome in the PokerWorld!
I was not able to make a proper blog post yesterday due the heavy amount of work I had to do, a coaching I had to give and due the fact that it was my father's birthday ♦.
Waking up from an intensive session of saturday night, I managed to get my Flow back again as I used to have on PartyPoker and start getting good cards. I play on 9 tables right now and sometimes it seems that I lose overview so I am still struggling with the transition from eight to nine. Also tableselection is rather vague because I am not using a table selection tool based on my own DataBase. Instead, I use a website to do the table selection for me, although this is not really accurate in my opinion -> it definitly helps me as a poker player more than the Lobby Stats on Stars!
So showing you the graph of Saturday Night, it is true that there are Yanks playing as if they play against the House.. *gee*
Grabbing the necessary blinds, VPPs and experience , I think I can say that NL50 is the base level I can beat atm
so I will take some time to create a NL100 Database on Stars and terrorize it along with DeKuip, Timukasr and Kees ♦
A side note to my secondary goals, I only am Bronzestar now and I want to become at least SilverStar by the end of December to get a wonderful income of FPPs in order to spend those as soon as possible on goodies. I think GoldStar is quite hard to do in a semi-full month (20~ days).
Anyways, a notable hand during this session was a Monster Draw that completely missed Villain on both Fourth and Fifth street while I went All-in pre-flop already, so I only could look and look and look ![]()
Known players:
[tg]Position_Stack:hands/vp$ip/RaisePreflop/AF/WTS/ORL/BBvsSteal/W$SD;Hero$8,25:///////;[/tg]
0,25/0,5 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Preflop: Hero is CO with K♣, A♥
UTG1 raises to $1,50, UTG2 calls $1,50, 3 folds, Hero raises to $8,25 (All-In), 3 folds, UTG1 calls $6,75, UTG2 calls $6,75.
Flop: ($25,50) 4♣, 2♣, 3♦ (2 players)
UTG1 bets $1,50, UTG2 calls $1,50.
Turn: ($28,50) Q♠ (2 players)
UTG1 bets $2,00, UTG2 folds, UTG1 gets uncalled bet back.
River: ($28,50) 8♥ (2 players)
Final Pot: $28,50
Results follow (highlight to see):
UTG1 shows high card ace with queen kicker (Tc Ac)
Hero shows high card ace with king kicker (Kc Ah)
Hero wins with high card ace with king kicker (Kc Ah)
In the end around 01:00 CET, I went to bed with a comforting pillow containing 116 big blinds earned on Saturday ![]()
I woke up at around 11:30 CET which was far too late for a Sunday morning with my Father's birthday on the agenda...
Yugh so I went there from my home and did the usual thing (giving presents etc. ♦)
Before I left, I saw that Ingol was ill and couldn't talk for 90 minutes, I asked Johannes if Xarry would do the coaching of Sunday and if I could join him to get some more experience in coaching. Xarry agreed so I got voice of Xarry because my Coaching rights aren't fixed yet (Had problems with Dutch SSS coachings on thursday as well
)
Sunday-Evening was basically the coaching in which not very much happened in those 336 hands but losing.... Oh well I lost 116 big blinds on Nl25 there but I will never ever do SSS coachings on PokerStars, I will just deposit some money on PartyPoker. Action there is guaranteed, trust me on this one
I took a 45 minute break to talk with xarry about the coaching and dividing tasks to make the review, moreover I drank the last can of Energy drink to prepare myself for 1 hour massive SSS on PokerStars. Damn! the tables were mostly juicy and I had stastics of at least 4 dudes on the table (>80 hands~ some 21k hands ♦)
The end result wasn't as good as Saturday but I will not be dissapointed because of that, I mean, I played solid in my opinion and that counts ![]()
The graph:
--> In the coming December Month, I will be focussing on Isolation with Ax hands against Fishes/Unknowns who openlimp ánd I will be learning more about playing against a type of player more in detail.
I realized that I hardly have goals now except the long term goal of reaching NL400. I cant get platinum now due the Coach Status. However I will make a run to the Top10 of the Dutch Community to snoop some $100 as a present. Also I really would like to get used to NL100 and make a good statement there.
An overview of my adventure on NL50 P:skerStars:
The notable hand on the fourteenth of december was a hand in which I think was justified due the fact that I had to rush-act and was thinking ''Oh well I dont believe you have it, strange line dude..''.
Known players:
[tg]Position_Stack:hands/vp$ip/RaisePreflop/AF/WTS/ORL/BBvsSteal/W$SD;SB$21,45:01/100 /0 /-/100 /-/-/0 ;Hero$10,00:///////;[/tg]
0,25/0,5 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 9♥, 9♦
4 folds, SB calls $0,25, Hero raises to $2,00, SB calls $1,50.
*StickyNote*:,,Complete/BlindbashCall ~ ...''
Flop: ($4,00) T♠, 8♥, 6♣ (2 players)
SB bets $10,50, Hero calls $8,00 (All-In), SB gets uncalled bet back.
*StickyNote*:,,Complete/BlindbashCall ~ Puts me all-in, overbet 2.5x Pot''
So I was thinking, hmm or he got a middle pair, overcard, Tx or some kind of wicked draw.. so I elected to call
Turn: ($20,00) 5♦
River: ($20,00) K♥ (2 players)
Final Pot: $20,00
Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a pair of nines (9h 9d)
SB shows high card king with jack kicker (Jc 7d)
I hope that I gave some insight into my pokeradventure, the SSS road is long but it is manageable with enough knowledge, experience and discipline.
For now, see you guys ♥

[x] Magic People, Voodoo People!

Another blog post after a day's full of work (Today 16th)... Writing Essays, writing reviews, teasing Max with SingStar, challenging him to sing 99 luftballons and talking with all kinds of people. It sooo busy right now , I dont even have time to play Poker.
What I do have is my notes I write during my session because I want to keep track more or less why I lost or why I won 20bbs with..
It also motivates me more to focus whenever I am down or making a stupid mistake. On the contrary it can makes me wonder what the end result would be if I see nothing at Loss and everything on Win ♦
A remarkable thing to note that there are more TAG-fishes on Stars Nl50 even though the supply of the playerbase is significantly larger than Party. Although I table select carefully, encountering them is inevitable at some point.
I still play against {American} fishes most of the time and at this moment I run solid as I should but this is mainly played during the weekends and the amount of 'idiots' so to speak are then overflowing the tables on almost every platform.
My plan is to maintain consistency I always strife to and to make the best of it in every session, yeh that's the spirit!
Playing for a $100 bonus on PokerStrategy isn't really worth playing my ass off in December since I cannot play on Christmas, New Years Eve and other days, also I do not get many points on Stars but nevertheless, I enjoy their platform and am interested in rising up through the limits.
FullTilt is also an option but seeing that they lock accounts without further noticing, hmm no thanks =D
Although they have RakeBack and a First Deposit Bonus, I am not really interested in grinding for Money because on Midstakes to Micro, it is not of an importance. Besides the Theory that RakeBack attracts MultiTable Grinders (TAGs) are basically true. Look at Cryptologic, FullTiltPoker and other small networks who offers rakeback/cashback (=Titan. Stars, Everest and PartyPoker do not have a large base of grinders raking for Rakeback. Basically I found those ''rake-whiners'' idiots but that is my opinion ![]()
However Stars has the Supernova but that's only significant on NL200+ FullRing.
What I actually want to say is that if there is Rakeback around, only the educated/known poker players who are aware of this, will play on the websites because in the long run it can be significant. Say you are a break-even Player with 0.5bb/100 or something, with rakeback, you can make a good profit.
Recreational players however do not notice these bonus and play based on Easy to use interface, graphics and so on. The amount of fish can be the same on each network however the amount of MultitableGrinders will increase when there is Rakeback of any kind therefore I am not really fond to play on FullTilt poker my whole life.
So when the amount of multitablers are not really overcrowding a network, one can spot a fish more earlier and has a high % probability that Hero will encounter more Fish and will profit from it in terms of more bb/100. So who is the true winner?
Feel free to disagree as this is my opinion, however I like to see argumentation with your statement as it doesn't make sense if you just say: ''I dont agree Gerv!''
Oké, I will attend Xarry's coaching and then I will play for my FDB on PokerStars, wish me luck and skill ![]()
Best regards,
Gerv

Hello Kingdippy2k8 ![]()
Thank you but I have to dissapoint you that I give coaching for Dutch members in the Dutch SSS coaching on Thursday 21:30 CET till 23:00 CET.
However Ingol asked me to aid him because he got issues with his PokerAccount so guess I will be a Guest-Coach on Friday 19th of december and Sunday 21st of december ![]()

I just want to disagree with you about rake back ![]()
Last three months fro example i was clearing nice first deposit bonuses(which you can count as nice rake back) and made around half of my profit with them. 200$+200$ each of those months so for me it is important even if i play low stakes NL10 NL25 and NL50.
I like to be idiot until it pays off ♦
Hey Slikec
I have to disagree that you a First Deposit Bonus is rakeback because I think that is temporary and should be seen as a Bonus.
Rakeback is something that's permanent linked to your account so you get it every week/month/quarter.
A first deposit bonus is always like >50% rakeback I think but I do not think that there are more multitable grinders bonuswhoring long enough on a platform to notice your winrate ![]()
Also look at the First Deposit Bonuses of Platforms:
Pokerstars: 100% up to $100
Everest: $200 welcome or $500 Diamond
PartyPoker: Former 30% up to $150 but now 100% up to $500
FullTiltPoker: 100% up to $600
LadBrokes; 100% up to $1000
InterPoker: 100% up to $500 + Rakeback
Mansion/Titan/iPoker: 200% up to $600 or 100% up to $500 + Cashback bonus.
One can clearly see that platforms like PartyPoker do not really favor high deposit bonus for their economic profit ánd the fact that the Fish:Shark ratio is more or less in Equilibrium, that's what I think ![]()

Ofcourse I remember you ♦ Thank you ![]()

great to see you posting again on the forums! Back in the days, you used to judge my Sample Hands
