Well thank you man!
I am so glad to know that people can benefit from the things i am doing here, and im also glad you like it and that you find stuff that can help you and that give me some wind in the back to keep it up ![]()
My coach Predrag had far more detailed blog updates when he was on SNGs and now too, so for his to read fully would take around two months ![]()
So, how are you doing now? How long are you in poker? Have FT job and playing? Whats ur fav format?
now im not playing. online poker is (temporarily) banned in poker as they are making legislation to make it legal.
started playing around 2009 but was a major fish. had a couple big hits in 2013 (was playing mtts) when i started playing a bit more and as all good donks i spewed it all away cause of bad bankroll management. then i stopped in 2014 and got a FT job. i work in a bank as an intern but my contract ends in september and i want to take a stab at playing poker for a living. i know its a big leap of faith just going all in with it, especially as i dont know when poker will be available for portuguese people (they are estimating october but we never know) but i am willing to put in the hard work to do it and i will have like 1 month minimun to put a high volume on the study part, also i still leave in my mother home and she supports me fully with this decision as whatever makes me happy makes her happy, so not having to pay a rent or a credit at the beginning is defo +EV ♦ . my favourite format is mtts but ill start bankroll building on sngs. either stt format ou (more likelly) regular speed mtt sng.
I see, well my fav format is MTT too but SNGs are the best way to build a BR since you can learn to beat them more quickly then MTTs or CG. But the flaw is that there is so much variance and in order to make it line up very high volume is required. When you start i suggest you to go for minimum of 2000 tournaments, make preparations until then ![]()
Also try to save up some money because swings can be brutal and its always good to have some money to use in those dark hours
Its really nice to have some one that supports you fully, they make it easier for us to focus on the things that matters the most to succeed. I live with my gf and she is the same way for me so i know its good to have some one like that ![]()
And most important of all to make that shot a succeed is studying like leak fixing and learning ICM and HU ranges.
There is no pro player that can live out of poker that doesnt spend at least 1-2h every day on studying.
32nd Week challenge (Friday) - DAY 224
- 834/1900 tournaments played
- 24/75 hours of studying
- 2/4 sessions with coach
So today i did work on bubble play and spent some time on HU ranges too.
Did better in HU today but bubble was killing me last session due to setups and suckouts 99% of the time.
Again had good first and second session and third was bad. So im considering to reschedule my time management a little to a way to play grind sessions first and then study after to play while i have most energy.
32nd Week challenge (Saturday) - DAY 225
- 909/1900 tournaments played
- 26/75 hours of studying
- 2/4 sessions with coach
Was good day in studying yesterday, worked on my bubble game and i want to make a big leap in that part of my game to make much more profit in near future.
Also played 75 tournaments but wasnt really satisfied with results because i have delayed my grind to the afternoon and night and again i played with low energy lvl which i will avoid at any cost from now on. Will play in the morning strictly and afternoon. I can afford that atm because there is enough traffic at this stake to play in any time.
nice blog , i play 6 max turbo but on other network and in this moment i have a big down.
what is your screen name?

Hey man, sorry to hear that, work on you mental game and follow bankroll management to avoid getting busted ![]()
And thats a secret
32nd/33rd Week challenge (Sunday/Monday) - DAY 226/227
- 1049/1900 tournaments played
- 30/75 hours of studying
- 2/4 sessions with coach
I have some strange results past few days ♦ Have so much more 2nd finishes then 1st and that is really bad for my ROI, today i checked monthly results so far and i have 5% less 1st then 2nd so that is killing me. Probably i will work on HU to the end of the month, tomorrow i have session with coach.
We did last one on HU play too and i have improved my game good amount, and there is still much room to improve in HU.
do like him and start getting some training on that hu
go play 5k hu hypers. that seems like a good and cheap way to work on it ![]()
ship the tables.

33rd Week challenge (Wednesday) - DAY 229
- 1139/1900 tournaments played
- 32/75 hours of studying
- 3/4 sessions with coach
Didnt update on Tuesday, i had a day off like i told i would have when playing only 20-30 games and studying 1-2h.
Spend it with my gf and with my friend who got here to Zagreb from Germany on vacation, it was really great to see one of few friends since i dont have that many here in Zagreb ![]()
Will spend some time with him tomorrow again, maybe.
Found some big leaks in my HU play that i need to work on to fix in games.
33rd Week challenge (Thursday) - DAY 230
- 1209/1900 tournaments played
- 34/75 hours of studying
- 3/4 sessions with coach
Started good work on HU, as i said found a leak that i need to fix and that will bring me some difference between 1st and 2nd finishes for sure.
And also need to work more on my focus, i am recording my grind sessions and sharing them with my coach, that is kinda helping me to keep my focus on higher level.
33rd Week challenge (Friday) - DAY 231
- 1257/1900 tournaments played
- 34/75 hours of studying
- 3/4 sessions with coach
Did 50 tournaments and some study then went out with friend that is on short visit to Zagreb so i took a chance while he is still here.
Came home around 1:30am so i went to bed, woke up today feeling like shit, dont know why exactly because i dont have hangover, didnt drink too much or anything, its like im sick but im pretty sure im not.
Maybe im just tired a little, anyway i didnt do too much of work today, resting now and going to start with reviewing some hands that i marked while playing past few days and after that going to start with grind.
33rd Week challenge (Saturday) - DAY 232
- 1274/1900 tournaments played
- 37/75 hours of studying
- 3/4 sessions with coach
Played only 17 tournaments today because i felt really out of my ordinary self and didnt wanna spew at the tables because my focus was super low, tomorrow i must continue regular grind sessions.
Did nice job on studying analyzing hands that i have marked while playing and watched previous sessions with coach regarding HU, it really helps that we record them and i understand them now like 2x better then i did when we had session ![]()
Also reading ICM NASH ranges to keep them in mind and not to forget them.
34th Week challenge (Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday) - DAY 233/234/235/236
- 1400/1900 tournaments played
- 45/75 hours of studying
- 3/4 sessions with coach
Sorry all for missing updates.
Had a day of at Monday since it was my birthday so i just chilled with my gf, nothing special happened, just had some beer to enjoy ![]()
Had session with coach and decided that i should play less tables since we found some leaks and in order to fix them as quickly as possible i will play 4-5 tables but with full focus on those leaks.
I will not achieve goal for 1900 tournaments but that is not the most important par anyway, most important for me is to fix biggest leaks that repeat and get my game to higher level.
I really works, i have feeling that i have full control now over my decisions and there is only couple of spots where im not sure what is the best play, i still find some mistakes in HH review and that is mostly because of long sessions that i have now, each around 2 hours x 3 but will get used to those soon and be able to keep focus for full sessions.
As for studying, my friend Jernej got back from vacation so we continued to work together on our game and i am working on HU game since that still is crucial area to fix to increase my ROI.
34th Week challenge (Thursday) - DAY 237
- 1453/1900 tournaments played
- 48/75 hours of studying
- 3/4 sessions with coach
Not sure if 1453 is correct number since my HM2 is bugged and wont show results for current month, will try to fix it with support.
Studied HU for 3h today, reviewed session with coach and document that we made with ranges and some work in Equilab.
Also read ICM ranges reviewing them daily.
HU still far worst area, have good ITM but bad results in HU and i loose a lot of money there, in every review i find 2-3 bad plays out of 50 so i guess that variance is not on my side on that part.
34th Week challenge (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) - DAY 238/239/240
- 1581/1900 tournaments played
- 53/75 hours of studying
- 4/4 sessions with coach
On Friday and Saturday i didnt have too much activities since i have visitor here, my gf little brother is visiting us for few days, he is off tomorrow so i have spent some more time with them.
Today i did little more, 6h of grind total and 2h of other activities.
Have a more detailed study plan and plans on how to make my progress faster in upcoming month.
35th Week challenge (Monday) - DAY 241
- 1630/1900 tournaments played
- 55/75 hours of studying
- 4/4 sessions with coach
Tomorrow i will do a detailed review on August and plans for next month, since its a bit late now and i have around 6,5h of sleep tonight.
August
35th Week challenge (Monday) - DAY 241
- 1630/1900 tournaments played
- 55/75 hours of studying
- 4/4 sessions with coach
Failed studying big time, i noted realistic time that i did quality studying. I had more but that was unorganized and less productive kind of studying and that doesnt do too much good. 20 hours short and that resulted in slower progressing of my game overall.
Was a half fail month in term of grind, since i did around 1600 out of 1900 tournaments, since i sacrificed some volume, because i got back to 4 and 5 tabling to keep my focus better and make better decisions.
On study part, i was lacking of structured tasks to complete, didnt do quality studying and that resulted in not so much improvement like it was expected.
All in all, im not satisfied with how i managed my time and studying.
Since i wasnt satisfied how i did things in August, i will change pretty much all in September.
Grind is now measured in hours, 6 hours per day, no matter how much tables i will do.
I will do some stuff on daily basis when it comes to studying, things that will improve my game for sure if i keep doing them regularly.
Really really important stuff for me is focus, last few days started to work on it and pay more attention, already have better results.
