If you are not ready to shove, you should not 4bet.
And this decision should be taken before you act.

Villain looks tight but seems to be 3betting a lot? I don't know if our sample is big enough to look at positional 3betting stats, maybe. I think we should fold to villains 5bet or do you think there is worse hands in his 5bet range? Maybe we should just call his 3bet and play cautiously?

Why should we be only 4-betting this if we go in with it? In case he would make standard 5-bet shove, I'd call here. When someone's playing like this, readless I'd just fold. Any reads on the villain and his tendencies might help, as well as if hero has been 4-bet/folding a lot in these cases.

Calling is the worst thing to do.. Why do you think it would be good? Calling small 5-bet oop and facing a flop where you would have to call anyway? Set-mining?

He means calling 3-bet instead of 4-betting.......

Most x-bet-fold ranges I have seen do not include QQ. Whether you should have a 4-bet-fold range at all in NL10 I don't know. I have one.

I think you can just call his 3bet here.
As played, his 5bet is very polarised to KK+ and bluffs (if he ever has any). I don't think the average reg on nl10 5bet bluffs at all, maybe this guy does because he seems aggressive but I don't believe this information is enough to allow you to get it in.
Calling the 4bet for set-mining isn't as terrible as CPallo said. I don't have the time/desire to do the exact calculations but at first sight it looks like calling is slightly +EV.

You've been raised for 64%, good job, pal that is certainly in accordance with odds you've been given. Do not for bloody hell raise for information, try to justify your moves. As far as I'm concerned there wasn't a thread where @CPallo didn't want to fold as soon as he got to the pot.

I mean call the 3 bet.

I would just call the 3bet, but the guy makes it really huge, so maybe it is more a fold to his 3bet.

I would 4bet / shove here. Sometimes you would have to play back the regs. If you call the 3bet, what are u doing at most of the flops? Against a reg on the aggressive side?

IF you don't 4-bet your QQ, you have way too narrow 4-bet range. We don't need to be results oriented here and just call 3-bet, because opponent made that small 5-bet.

Not necessarily. You can 4-bet worse and call with QQ. If you don't do this (or something equivalent) your 3-bet calling range will be too weak. Like I said above, QQ is a hand many ranges (by coaches+) include for calling the 3-bet but rarely for 4-bet bluffing. Stuff like KQ is better for that.

I'd rather 4bet bluff 72o than QQ. No worse hand will call us. Calling a shove usually isn't profitable. I haven't heard a legitimate reason why we should 4bet.

4betting QQ because else u have a way too narrow range is just plain bs. Also i can't see how we are results oriented here....

The optimal play here is to call the 3 bet.
If we 4 bet, we should stick with the hand as it is way too strong to be turned into a bluff.

5 to 1 odds on a call preflop puts you in a tough spot even if you could see his AA

being 113bbs deep you could actually call if you read him as AA only

maybe +ev of half a big blind lol

As for 4bet, i would think twice about the sizing. you would not do that sizing with AK thus narrowing your range and give him odds with any suited connector he might have. This sizing is popular but I prefer 4bet potting, since I view 4betting there not as "oh you have a good hand? okay let's play for a little bit more", but as "Oh you want to 3bet me off of my hand? Take this!" It's a counter strategy against someone who 3bets a lot, not a "Hey listen I have AA KK or QQ in this hand, you still want to play, here I'll give you 3 to 1 odds?"

Also when you start viewing 4betting in this manner, it becomes easy to see why you don't 4bet versus a tight 3better since you don't actually need to accomplish anything.
