From micros to ???

Nice to see you had a good week! Following cause I need help with tilt issues as well. Hopefully I can learn from your experience

Thanks for your support I'm pretty happy with my last week. I started having session warmups and cooldowns. Before the session I closed my eyes and thought in my mind that now I must play my A-Game, variance is normal and single losses doesn't matter and reminded myself that I should use my brain and follow my instinct (stop calling in stupid spots). It's a shame that I played only 3k hands. I have to study also :/ Now I'm going to my Legal English exam.. Wish me luck ♦

I want higher red line

I have noticed that I leak a lot of money from BB, winrate is about -40bb/100h... I'm trying to fix that now. I have noticed that my concentration is better and I take more time thinking my move. hands/hour is a bit lower but winrate is bigger. 10k hands is not much but I hope my green line will continue to go up like that.

Easy game

A personal preference of mine - I totally ignore the green line - the only line I look at is the orange line (all in ev) - ultimately the green line and orange line should end up in the same place (and they will), but the orange line should be smoother and better at showing where you really are.

Souds like a good strategy. Mine are pretty close to each other. All-in EV is a bit lower. So that means I have just been running good

Another good week behind. I have a lot to do at school so my volume sucks Only 3728 hands this week but result is great tho. I managed to fail in my first big exam but no problem, I get to do it again in January. Now I'm working hard not to fail the next exam too

My holiday begins at 10th of December. After that I'll play much more. I have to if I want to collect enough VPPs to get my $10 from PStars.. I'm very exited about their Christmas calendar. I hope I win something that will boost my bankroll. ♠_p:

Man, just some advice from an old guy: Don't flunk out of school cause you're spending all your time playing poker. If you're gonna be in college, be in all the way and do well. Poker or whatever else is taking up your time that you would be studying will be there when you're finished. This is coming from someone who absolutely hated school and dropped out of university after 2 years, but only after I started a business in my spare time that was making enough money for me to live.

Thank you for your comment There is nothing to worry about. Being a lawyer has been my dream for many years now and studying is my priority. I have decided that I will graduate even if I somehow became so good poker player that I could make enough money to live. I put my social life and studying first, poker is a secondary thing. I just would like to play more to achieve my poker goals faster. The real problem here is Netflix... Sometimes I'm lazy and I do everything else than study I played only 6 hours poker this week so it doesn't take so much of my time. Watching series from Netflix does...

Results:

SB folds very little to steals and is a bit fishy. I thought that completed flushes will not bet so big. I'm a bit afraid of BB but his small 3bet vs 2 looked like he is holding QQ+,AK and he wants us both to call. I couldn't fold straight here. Maybe I should have but luckily the result was great.

You should post that one in hand discussion, I'm not really sure what I'd do with that hand on the flop. Either 3-bet to get rid of single spade draws or maybe just fold it cause fold equity isn't amazing and there are so many flushes and A high straights that beat yours.

I joined LemOn's coaching where he recommended to play regular tables. I'm now playing 3 tables NL2 zoom with decent winrate. I tried to play regulars just now and I could easily play 4 tables. Should I start 4-6 tabling regulars or keep on playing zoom? Regular tables are much more fishier and winrate will be higher but at zoom tables my volume would be almost 3 times bigger... I want to move up the stakes quickly and I feel comfortable playing zoom and I make pretty decent decisions quickly. In regular tables the profit comes from exploiting others, in zoom it comes from minimizing own leaks. What do you think is the best for learning and improving my game? I thought about trying regulars for a while and see how it goes, then maybe go back to zoom or play both.

I don't see why you can't minimize your own leaks while playing normal tables. Zoom seems good if your goal is to stay at the current limit and are playing as your source of income, but I can't imagine it's nearly as good for improving.

Regular tables it is then. So far it has gone amazingly. I have played a couple of hours regulars an my hourly winrate is great. I have played only 400 hands though and I'm afraid I just had a good run.

I just won 43,20$ from pokerstars Christmas calendar milestone hand.. Now I can play NL5

First week of December has been great. I'm very happy because I won that 43,20$ from Stars Christmas calendar It gave me a little bankroll boost and now I have player around 5k hands NL5 at regular tables. Those fish are amazing ♠_cool:

I found out that I can use Table Scanner 2 for free at micro stakes. I don't know if it's gonna help me table select or not. I didn't get it to work :/ I contacted HM support and they are looking into it. It is a common problem for everyone at the moment and I'll be notified when they come up with a fix.

Okay, so here it is! I have played 100k hands since the start of my bankroll challenge. The road has been bumpy. There is a lot of great moments and a lot of tilt. During these hands I have improved my game a lot. The biggest improvement is in my mental game I guess.

These are mostly NL2 ZOOM hands, the last 10k hands are NL5 regular. As you can see, I played the first 30k hands break even. Then the green line went up and I felt great. Then the worst day of my poker career hit me. I lost around 50$ in one day playing NL2. I have never lost so many buy-ins in a single day.

At this point I received my copy of The Mental Game of Poker 2 from PokerStrategy. I started reading it and reviewing a lot of hands at the forum and participated in coachings. I think it helped me a lot. As you can see my green line skyrockets and there is a big change in my blue line. Now I have got my blue line to go up. Red line is going up and down but I think it is because I'm exploiting weak players at regular tables more.

Positional Stats

I have improved my blind play a bit and now I'm not losing so much on BB. I believe that those stats will be a lot better after another 100k hands. Looks like I could play a bit more aggressively. Start squeezing more. I have improved my game a lot in last 30k hands so these are not so accurate.

~80 000 hands @ NL2 ZOOM -- Winrate 3,35bb/100h
~10 000 hands @ NL5 -- Winrate 11bb/100h

My ALL-IN EV is about 30$ lower than my green line so I have been running ok. I expect that variance hits me soon and takes away what isn't mine. 10k hands at NL5 is not much and the winrate could decrease a lot in the near future, but I seriously hope it will not

Any comments of my graph,stats or winrates and all ideas how I could improve my game are welcome!

I busted my bankroll in my first run of bankroll challenge. I deposited around 50€ and now things are looking great. 1. of December I won 40$ from Stars Christmas challenge and today I won 50$ from Strategy's Help Others and Get 50$ promo. Now my bankroll is around 280$. When I reach 300$ I will start taking shots at NL10.

I want to thank PokerStrategy.com, its members, moderators and coaches! Without this community I wouldn't play poker. You have helped me a lot with my problems and motivated me.

Yes it does When I hit break even I started thinking about my mental game a lot more and tried to fix my leaks. I really hope that something happened in my head and the problems are gone and the good result is because of that. Though it might be just a hot run.. We'll see that next
