♠_thumbsup:
have seen some nice vids from you - great value
and still much to learn for me ♦
You ask really great questions your students, that helps a lot of thinking about most +EV lines and ranges. Great work!!!
update 7. week:
I have studied over 20 hours last week especially playing OOP in SRPs and 3BPs. I learn a lot and also get better at the tables. My session today was pretty tough because I run – 5BI under EV and thats looks like you can see at the end of my graph :-)
That is part of the game and I have to get used to it!

I will keep on studying and grinding this week as much as possible and try to make as many good decisions as possible and stay focused. I have started to make flashcards for my study material and repeat them as much as possible.
Keep on moving forward!!!

update 8. week:
I finished my oop course with many hours of footage. There is so much good input in there, that I will repeat this stuff again and again. Now I start to work on my mental game, because it’s time to get resistance against the swings in PLO and life :-)
Be happy about your life and poker and don’t complain about anything you don’t can affect!
I have to work on my game, because I destroyed some good session results with too light call downs. And in some spots I CB too much where I could check-back and take a free card with my mediocre hands which have draw potential but can’t stand a check-raise. So I will tweak on “selective aggression” and integrating a polarized CB frequency.
Here is my graph:

Goals for next week:
1) Be happy about your life and poker and don’t complain about anything you don’t can affect!
2) continue working on my course tilt free
3) work on “selective aggression” and integrating a polarized CB frequency
4) watch some videos
5) grinding PLO

Happy week!

update 9. week:
Here is my checklist from my goals from last week:

my current total results after rakeback: € -215

Happy week!

10. week:
This week was a very important one for me. I was working intensive on the mental part and I make a big step to feel good in life and poker. I am a person who likes to be organized and I need some structure for my day. Now I have implemented some routines for starting my day, preparing for grinding, follow up and closing my day.
This has an hugh positive impact on my mental state and guess what, on my poker results the last week ![]()

my current total results after rakeback: € -113

This are my goals for this week::cool:

Some stuff to think about it....

Have a nice week!

11. week:
I am pretty happy with my last week, because I have done all my tasks.
This were the goals of my last week:

I did the exercises of the “tilt free today” course and especially one exercises forces me a lot
Lay down strong hands/nuts without any expectations/detachment was a tough experience. I have recognized that my consciousness didn’t like, that I do something different than usual. It was like a little fight between angel and devil on each shoulder. 😈 After that exercise I did some meditation, which was helping me to come down. It is a good homework and I will definitely do again next week.
I re-watched the announced PLO videos and take some new perceptions away:
- how to play monotone boards
- 3BP
Now to my game:
On some days I played my best game so far. I played selective aggressive against looser opponents and barrel them more than in the past. Get some nice 3BP dynamics and stack them more often than not ![]()
Labeling players and get some reads on the opponents is huge +EV. This is something I will work on a deeper level next week.
At the beginning of last week I have had a not tracked loosing session, so I have to discount USD ~50 from my graph. So it’s a slightly winning week:

my current total results after rakeback: € -91
My next update will follow in 2 weeks, because I am some days not at home. There will be no grinding, only reading and studying for some days.
Here are my new personal goals:
- continue working with my chance/performance journals
- only look at my achievements and have no expectations
- be happy and see the things I am doing good
- read every day
Here are my new poker goals:
- stay selective aggressive pre- and postflop
- barrel more against wide/loose callers
- improve my quality in getting reads of players
- continue doing my tilt-free-today exercises
- watch post-flop and late street module

Happy time!
week 12+13:
Hey, back for an other update. I am very happy with my game so far. I feel that I am getting better and has taken also 1-2 shots on PLO50. ATM I mix the limits, but my goal for this month is playing mainly on PLO50 and stay there…. before climbing on the next plateau!!!

This are my new personal goals:
1) be happy about every single day
2) read a book about speed reading
3) doing daily my chance+performance journal
This are my new poker goals:
1) finish watching late street module
2) playing comfortable PLO 50
3) continue doing my routines

Let’s do some changes – today is the best day!
Thomas
Update:
I gave PLO50 some shots and it was a bit more swingy than usual, but overal I feel good at this limit.
ATM I mix it up with some PLO25 and PLO50 tables. I have learned to listen to my inner voice on each day and don’t try to force anything.
That was an important lection, I have taken away from my grinding experience.

I have done all my upper goals from the last post and now I am a 100% faster reader.
This will be useful to finish up the Anthony Robbins book I am currently reading.
I will also go through the PLO concept videos again, til they get part of me. And I will put more focus to implement that concepts in my game.
my personal goals for the end of the year:
1) work daily with my chance and performance journal
2) finish the book
3) start again with vipassana meditation
my poker goals for the end of year:
1) rewatch videos + take notes + make flashcards + repeat it and implement it in my game
2) get familiar with PJ
3) take notes of player tendencies
4) play my best game and quit as soon I lost my focus

MERRY CHRISTMAS
Thomas / hackleberry
Hi,
time to update my blog. The last couple weeks were starting good and especially the last week was rough and all the winnings are unfortunately away. 😕 I was playing PLO20 and PLO50. So overall I am BE in EV now before rakeback and boni. I have decided to move down to PLO20 and PLO25 for getting back my confidence and try another shot later.
This are my graph from the last weeks:

On this areas I have to work on:
1.) 3BP
2.) OOP
3.) late street game
I will post some of these hands/spots on the forum and try to fix it.

GL to all
