Hi my name is Georg and I'm a 20 year old guy from Canada. A little more than 5 months ago I decided to take poker 'seriously' and started this blog. My poker journey...maybe this time I can get it right! From the time that I started that blog I've gone from 500$ to 16k by learning and playing Nl SH and mtt's. A little over a month ago I kinda lost motivation to play and stopped updating my old blog.
I've found lots of motivation again and I'm hungry to improve and keep moving up! I find blogging very helpful for me to stay focused and disciplined while trying to reach my goals. I'll try to update this blog every second day or so and include some graphs/stats. As I said, I keep a blog as a personal tool to improve, so don't be surprised if my updates are pretty boring
I'll start things off with my goals for January.
January Goals
become diamond member- I live with my girlfriend and have a full time job other than poker, so I'll play whenever I can. If I can become diamond that would be a nice extra.
make 1k+ in the ladbrokes rakeback race- Ladbrokes is having a huge rakeback race where if you're in the top 250 then you get minimum 1k. I have no idea if this is an achievable goal for me, but it would be a nice bonus if it's possible. (I'll adjust this goal during the month if it's either too easy or too hard)
maintain in control of tilt- Kinda speaks for itself...I think this should be a main goal for anybody trying to have longterm success in cashgames.
review every session- This is super important for me because I can't improve if I'm not motivated to learn.
become active on ps forum again- Now that I'll be playing more I plan on posting/commenting on lots of hands in the forums and rewatching videos.
I'm not going to put any BR goals, I just want to play the best that I can every time I play.
I think that's it for now. I haven't played at all yet in January but I'll update once I have.
Cheers!
Georg
