Night by Elie Wiesel is an amazing read.
A survivor of the holocaust tells the tale of how he managed to escape the clutches of death. Check it out, it's a fairly short read at about 130 pages or so.

you would be shocked of some of the good stories that are told,
definetely a COnfidence booster.

I've never been able to concentrate for long enough to read a book. Until a few years back, I read Mark Brandon "Chopper" Reid. I later found out he had 9 books. Since then i've read them all, and his stories are amazing.
I later had to surf the net, just to check if half his stories are true, as alot of them are quite horrid.
The film "Chopper" covers about 1% of the actual happenings in his life. Most of the best parts weren't even allowed to be filmed, so the book is a must read for any true crime fan.

Wow, that was slightly different to what I was expecting. I was expecting to see something about J.r.r Tolkien for some reason, but instead I see Tolstoi and Adam Smith! May I suggest that you read the dictionary next 
I've never got past the first few pages of any Dostoevsky and I only managed the first paragraph of War and Peace 
Adam Smith is a Legend though, Do you study economics or are you just well read?

One of new year changes for me is that i want to start reading more. I spend too much time near PC so reading should be nice way of reducing time amount spent near PC.
Started with listening to audiobook - 1984 by G. Orwell. Liked it.
Now reading Slaughterhouse-5 by Kurt Vonnegut which i must say i enjoy as well. Have read way too little to compare and have well argumented review i guess. Think i would enjoy any book now
