I played just under 2k hands today up 4.5 BI. I'm really happy with the way I played today. I think in terms of skill this was my best session of the month so far. I don't think I made any huge errors and I broke even in non-showdown pots which I had been getting killed in so far this month. Still working on loosening up but haven't manage to play looser than 16/19...which isn't loose at all.

@vladz- here's a couple of hands from this month that I have enjoyed so far...

#1-obviously this one I laughed

Pre-flop: ($6, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1 T♦ T♠

engparken shows: 8♥ J♠
Hero shows: T♦ T♠

Hero wins $914.40 ( won +$456.70 )
engparken lost -$457.70

#2-and this one I cried :baby:

@vladz- I don't see any reason to make a video. The coaches/videomakes on the site are better than me anyways so just use their videos. I found them very helpful at the start. You could also try some other sites if you're not satisfied.

I played another small session yesterday night, and again today at lunch for a total of about 1.5k hands. In total I went up 2.5 BI. Overall I don't think I played very well...mostly got lucky. I'm going to play a longer session tonight if I'm feeling up to it. I made quite a few spewy plays today so hopefully I can correct that tonight.

Here's my graph for the month so far...at least it's an exciting way to play break even poker...

Non showdown winnings are just lowwww. Is not me to judge since i suck much more but having -5k$ non showdown winnings after 18k hands is a lot isn't it?

Ya, I completely agree slikec... I'm working on it ;) . At Nl100/200 I was able to play not far from breakeven in non-showdown pots, but so far at Nl400 I haven't managed it yet. I'm mostly trying to find the right spots to get aggressive, because I find I'm getting pushed out too often by other regulars.

Yeah I know the feeling... You hit a major upswing and everything is great. You start thinking poker's easy and that you're like invincible. And then the downswing comes!!

Anyway good luck, I hope you hit an upswing again!

thanks mikelstwe. I wouldn't mind going in an upward direction either!

This evening I played just under 2k hands down a 1/2 BI. It was a pretty swingy session and I had to take a couple of breaks because I felt on the edge of tilting, but in the end I managed to stay focused. (expect for 1 spot where I made a spewy bluff for 3/4 of a stack) The main reason for my frustration was that I lost about 2.5 BI to a maniac playing 60/30 who hit 2 flushes and then trips on me after calling down big bets each time X( Not long after that I lost fullhouse vs fullhouse for a BI to another fish.

On the whole I'm actually pretty happy with the session because I wasn't forced to quit playing just because of a couple bad beats/coolers. This is good compared to last week when I had to stop each session after about an hour because I was already steaming for one reason or another.

Only had time for a small 600hand session today. Finished up close to a BI. I'm very happy with my play. I'm starting to feel more comfortable postflop, which is helping me loosen up preflop. I played 21/19 today, which is the loosest I've ever managed. Hopefully I can continue to play at least pfr 18 from now on. I'm too tight 3betting right now, so I'll work on that too.

Played 4k hands today pretty much break even... I'm happy with the way my game is progressing though. I played 20/17 today and in the past 3 days I've made money in non-showdown pots!

On the negative side, I made 2 call downs right at the start of the day with AK top 2 pair against a set both times. I knew I was probably beat and one of them was against a nit...so ya I wasted at least a BI in those 2 pots. I also ran relatively bad today, but I played well other than the AK hands so I'm ok with that.

Here's my graph of the last 3 days.

After today I'll be in the top 70 for the promotion, closing in on top 50 (which is the 2k bonus) I'll also be a diamond member for the first time ever next time ladbrokes points update.

Played 1.6k hands today down about 1.5 BI. I think I played average today, with one very bad bluff which cost me close to a BI :baby: So ya, right now I'm very pissed off that I entered tilty town 10minutes before I was planning on closing down my session. I did break even in non-showdown pots again which is good.

I'm pretty excited about being break even so far this month  At least I think I'm learning to play better poker so that some day I might make some real profit at this limit... hopefully someday in the not too distant future.

Just a quick update... I've played like an hour of cash games since my last update down about 1 BI. I'm been too busy with other things and not really feeling like grinding. I also played 1 tourney. It's a 100$ 3 min blinds crapshoot that I finished 2nd out of 46 in for 1.1k profit. It's a lot of luck but there are also a ton of donks that have no idea how to play ICM so I think a decent player with the right bankroll has a huge edge.

Hopefully this weekend I'll feel like grinding it out because I have a bit of free time again. I'd still like to make the 2k bonus this month if possible.

@vladz- I just play whenever I can/feel like it. So it totally depends from week to week. Some weeks I play 10-15k hands other weeks I play 0.

I've played quite a bit more, but have mostly been really working on my game. Specifically hand reading and loosening up preflop and playing more aggressive postflop. Today I played almost 1k of hands 24/22 today which was a lot of fun! It puts me in lots of spots postflop and helps me improve I think. Not sure it's more profitable right now, because it's leading to more tough spots postflop...but should definitely help in the long run.

I'm going to play absolutely as much as possible in the next week and see if I can make the 2k bonus, which will be very tough. Hopefully I run good this week...I got killed today with coolers, but I'm not complaining because I feel like it doesn't matter if I get unlucky. It's more important that I'm finding ways to improve my game to crush everyone in the longrun ;)
